The building is part of Wisconsin history. Visiting the 3rd floor is a must and will give you a hint of what life was like back in the 1800’s. Stand in silence and just peer into the rooms. They busted theirs and we have it better because of it. I couldn’t stop reading everything on the 2nd floor. The food is great, but if I had to pay what I did to only experience what I did upstairs I’d happily do it again.

Simply can’t be beat. One of a kind atmosphere, great prices, fantastic food, and portion sizes to die for. The Stage Stop has got it all folks. Out of the way? Nonsense. Sometimes a little drive makes for a relaxing time when your destination is the Stage Stop. Don’t pass up the chance to try this place out. You won’t regret it.

I have enjoyed every meal I’ve had here. The meat is first rate and cooked on a big grill and the smell permeates the dining room. At the tender age of 17 my ex proposed marriage here. That night I had the grilled filet mignon and I enjoyed every bite. A night I will never forget. This was literally a Stage Stop so be sure to go upstairs and see the original rooms that travelers slept in. BTW, I accepted and the resulting nuptials produced one awesome child and two so-so’s!(kidding)

A good old fashioned place for dinner. Steaks are good and priced reasonable. No it’s not Ruth’s or Mortons nor does it pretend to be. Bring cash as it’s cash only. Good bar if you’re waiting for a table. Check out upstairs as well. By the way– it’s Wilmot.
