I just happened to be in the neighborhood, noticed some Unilocal reviews on Buddha Happy, so I thought I’d take a look see, and happy I did. Located in a rather unassuming strip mall on Old Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors, it doesn’t look like much from the outside but on the inside it’s loaded with all sorts of things Thailand and Buddha related. The owner is from Thailand and turned out to be one of the most pleasant, warm hearted and charming of people one could ever meet. Indeed, almost the epitome of person from the«Land of Smiles.» Upon entry, I was treated to the traditional bow of the Thai greeting, had the opportunity to watch her custom stringing beads for her patrons and further treated by the harmonious sounds she was able to produce on her inventory of «singing bowls.» The store couldn’t be better decorated, has not only a good size as well as varied inventory, and with the aroma of incense in the air, sort of produces the ultimate of a relaxed atmosphere. Though I have little knowledge of things Buddha related, I don’t think it takes any knowledge to recognize Buddha Happy as being a darn good place for anything one might want that has any relationship to matters that might be Buddha, Thai or inner self-awareness related.

The day I stumbled into Buddha Happy, I was just visiting and trying to wend my way around the neighborhoods. It was hot and sticky and I was feeling sort of yucky. Suddenly, like a pure vision, I saw Buddha Happy just across the street. I went over and entered the place — and suddenly felt home. I wasn’t there to buy anything(like I said, I was on holiday); so I just looked around. The atmosphere there was so serene and the air so much more comfortable from what was going on outside. The woman attending the place was extremely friendly, even when I made it clear that I was«just looking.» Since that time I have actually decided to move to Ft. Lauderdale! When I left the store I told her that I’d be back — and now I know that I definitely will be. I’m looking forward to buying some perfect items for my new home in the next few months. There are few«accidents» in life(if any), and I was meant to find Buddha Happy that day … knowing there’s a community of like-minded people living down there helped me to decide to make Ft. Lauderdale my new home! Thank YOU Buddha Happy!!!

I met the owner of Buddha Happy at her booth at the Asian Festival at the Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead this year. The owner Pim is real nice she has really good energy, she is like a mini-me of «Kwan Yin». After I saw the interesting items Pim had at her booth, I asked her for her business card so I could visit her her store in Wilton Manors When I arrived at Pims store I was impressed. Wow, beautiful store, Pim informed me that most of the items are primarily Buddhist and Hindu imports from Thailand. Lots of large and small things perfect for the home or a commercial location. Lots of art. antiques and spiritual items like Tibetan Singing bowls(I bought one), gems, paintings, jewellery, carvings, rocks, incense, necklaces, statues and loose beads etc. The energy in Pims store is incredible, I take it because they have meditation classes here every sunday, its a real hidden gem. I had Pim make me a necklace of white agate skulls, it looks awesome I love it. I have also purchased some beautiful Kwan Yin statues from Pim. Periodically world famous Buddhists come to Buddha Happy to have meditation classes. Pim also holds classes for beading. For those interested Pim also does wholesale.
