Amazing crêpes, very fresh omelettes and home fries. Cows and chickens right across the street and birds chirping everywhere! Beautiful and surrounded by nature. A must go if you’re a breakfast foodie

We had a late breakfast there and the meals were really tasty. My wife got the huevos rancheros and I got the… peruvian breakfast(I can’t remember the name, but I remember how it tasted). Because we were there around 10:30am on a weekday we were able to sign in the fireplace room by ourselves. The servers were very nice and the food arrived quickly, which was good because we had hiked beforehand and were hungry. We ate here last summer when we were in the area, and we’ll go back again this summer a few times more.

Farm fresh is what this restaurant does and it is amazing! My boyfriend and I ventured in on a frigidly cold day; nice and warm in there. Seat yourself(I don’t know how much seating there is as it is a refurbished farmhouse). Sadly, the menu is fairly limited, but the choices on there are unlike any other basic breakfast café. Definitely representative of the farm’s products, miry everything came directly from the farm and is handmade. I had the goat cheese and caramelized omelet with a spinach and cheese croissant. The croissant was absolutely amazing! Light and buttery, it was filled with a lightly cooked spinach, feta and goat cheese. Sweet, buttery, a light tang from the feta and a sweetness from the goat cheese; sharing was hard. Omelet was big, fluffy and filled with that gorgeous goat cheese, I just wish there was more onions(they were sweet and delicious) My boyfriend got their daily special; a chorizo bowl with eggs, kale, potatoes, onions and sour cream. The chorizo was epic! Flavorful, meaty, rich and a nice little spice. Eggs were perfectly cooked with a nice runny yolk to tie the whole dish together. Kale was fresh and even though lightly cooked, tasted better than anything I’ve gotten from a supermarket. The sour cream tasted a little different than what we normally find, but that’s because it was homemade and nommy. Our server was a pretty young woman; friendly, attentive, I wish I could have tipped her more than I did.(Sorry, Hun, I’ll make sure I have extra cash to tip you with next time we come back) This definitely isn’t priced like an Ihop where you can feed a family for less than $ 40, but the quality of food you get far exceeds the price you pay. We will definitely be returning and bringing family.

Local café adjoining a biodynamic farm. Like a slice of yesteryear in ambiance with a full range of coffee & specialty tea blend offerings. Christie makes the most amazing croissants — which you must try! And if your children attend Pine Hill or High Mowing, you are sure to run into a bunch of people you know…

The Hilltop Café is to die for! Everything is super fresh and everyone is very nice. I’ve had the veggie omelet and the veggie sandwich. Oh. My. So good. It’s located on a hilltop(hence the name) with beautiful scenery and gardens. You can sit outside and it was absolutely amazing on this beautiful fall day today! There is a shop where you can buy fresh poultry, eggs and things too! Highly recommend and will for sure return!!!

Excellent find! Local, organic, farm fresh ingredients. Homemade croissants. Historic farmhouse. Hubby had«the best Huevos rancheros I’ve ever had.» I had the croissant breakfast sandwich. Both excellent. Each cup of coffee freshly ground and brewed. CSA plus open to public products for sale in the farm yard.

Yes, you’ll pay a bit more and, yes, the menu selection isn’t as vast as the places on Milford Oval. However, we LOVE this place and eat here at least once a month. It is the most soulful food… local, organic, and DELICIOUS. After your meal, take a walk around the farm and appreciate where your food came from. There’s a path that goes up to the High Mowing campus — follow it and you’ll be rewarded with an expansive view of local hills and mountains.

We visited the café on 9÷5÷15 and it was a great experience! Waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. Wonderful atmosphere! One the way out, we bought two chocolate croissants as a treat for later and they yummy! Definitely recommend. We will be back.

We had a great Huevos Rancheros, Llapingachos and French Toast here today! The French toast was really the standout for me. It’s made on a croissant instead of a standard bread slice and the accompanying maple syrup and whipped cream were delicious. The staff were all so friendly and made us feel at ease. Unfortunately, they were out of crepes when we went, otherwise we would have loved to try those as well. It was a great experience eating here. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a wonderful lunch spot. On a beautiful spring/summer/fall day, I don’t think it gets any better. The food is wonderful, the drinks are wonderful, and the service is wonderful too. Highly recommended!

Great experience. Love the food, staff, and atmosphere. The dishes are all so unique. Incredibly fresh with amazing flavor. Would love to use their CSA program and shop at the farm store if we lived closer. Loved the banana Nutella crêpe and the eggs in spicy peanut sauce.

Hilltop Café is a wonderful, cozy, authentic farm-to-table café on bucolic Abbot Hill, on the campus of the Temple-Wilton Community Farm, the oldest Community-Supported Agriculture(cooperative) farm in America. Ben and Christie and their wonderful staff make amazing food, pastries, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies and lots more, and serve it with love and care. Come early on the weekends, because indoor seating is limited. On a warm spring, summer or fall weekend, outdoor seating is like eating in paradise.

This is a lovely little spot tucked away in the NH hills with chickens running around the front yard. Their croissants are absolutely the best I have ever had, and they have fantastic coffee drinks(all espresso based). Some really interesting breakfast options, though we didn’t fall in love with those. We will be back!

Great Food Sourced from the Farm it sits on whenever possible! Coffee Sourced from A&E Roastery! My Favorites are the Breakfast Salad and Maple Latté. Not recommended for a quick visit. Plan a time when you can stay and enjoy this place! Never GMO!

Pleasant enough, but just not my kind of place. That’s based on the«purist» attitude — I just prefer a place with a bit more personality. The prices were high and the quality was excellent but $ 12+ for my husband’s omelet… because the bacon is locally and humanely raised.,. Is a bit much. Mind you, this was the onion omelet with tomato, bacon and cheddar(instead of goat) cheese. My Huevos Rancheros dish was very tasty! Although we were sufficiently satisfied with the food and the service, my husband volunteered what I was thinking as we left: we won’t be going back. We would, though, recommend it to people who would appreciate that type of atmosphere.

We were a car of 4 adults and one young child meandering from Mass to NH. Hunger set in and we were in the middle of nowhere NH(or so it seemed). I found a cellphone signal and called a café that appeared on my Google Maps. It was 1:57pm and when i asked when they close they told me 2pm, but the Hilltop café asked us how close we were and convinced us to «come on by. We’ll stay open.» it was delightful food and carefully crafted to maintain its organicy nature. I didn’t require the detailed bio-organic qualities, but man it all tasted good. Sometimes not knowing where you’re going to eat can result in a wonderful find. Sure there weren’t many choices for us ‘city-kids’ but what a delight the food, location and staff all presented!

It is very rare that I find a café that offers BOTH delicious espresso drinks and homemade food. Let’s start with the espresso: It’s fair trade, organic, rich and bold prepared by a trained barista who knows how to pull the perfect shot. My husband ordered an iced latte and I ordered a hot, maple latte. They were some of the best coffee drinks we have ever had. The maple latte is especially unique, because it uses local, maple syrup… adding a special touch to an already perfect, foamy latte. Now the food: Hilltop is actually connected to a CSA farm and uses local and organic ingredients. Talk about«farm to table»…Hilltop is actually ON the farm! You feel good about eating here, because you are eating REAL food that isn’t processed. We had the Huevos Rancheros and the Chorizo and Egg. Both were very flavorful. Oh and the croissants are perfectly light, buttery and super fresh. I’ve never had better. If I lived around here, I would eat at the Hilltop Café at least twice a week. I’m jealous of the locals.

Such a treasure to stumble upon! All organic, fresh, quality food. The environment is cozy(see small and quaint). The servers approach you like you’re good friends-everything is very easy going. Go there for: the food(you leave feeling full and not gross); to support community supported agriculture; their lattes(the foam was on point! and got a good little caffeine buzz on a simple 2 shot latte). Do not go there if you are in a rush as the place fills up pretty quickly and the atmosphere and service is more for the lingering type that likes to ponder life and such over espresso than the busy«I gotta eat and go» type.

I rated the Hilltop Café at only four stars? MYBAD. This place is still on point — even more so now that they’ve been around a bit longer. They’ve really got things up & running now, with a full-blown CSA program & a produce shop operating out of the barn. There you can find fresh eggs, various cheeses, & yogurt that come from the farm, as well as beef & veal, & fresh veggies(the veggies are for CSA members only, though!) What is particularly awesome, however, is that you can get raw cow’s milk here(& take a peek at the whole milking/processing operation)! Super cool. They continue to offer delicious breakfast(now they have crepes!) & lunch options, along with ice cream & baked goods. They’re also working on popularizing music performance nights with local artists.

Delish! I had the three egg omelette with goat cheese and caramelize red onions, multigrain toast and it came with orange segment garnish. The eggs were from the farm and bread baked local. Also had a sweet crêpe and I love a good crêpe. Unsweetened chai latte wad sweeten with just a bit of acai syrup. Visiting the newborn cows was also treat. Absolutely I will be back.

Hilltop Café & Bakery is located at the Four Corners Farm in Wilton, which is housed in an 18th century light green farmhouse. This café opened up earlier this year and is located in a secluded and peaceful farm setting off the beaten path at the forked intersection of Isaac Frye Hwy/Abbott Hill Rd. The ingredients and products used here are local, fresh, and organic and come from the farm and from local suppliers. They have seasonal menus for breakfast(until 11AM) and lunch, which are quite limited. The offerings include fresh baked goods(cookies, filled croissants, muffins, shortbread, sticky rolls.), 3 egg omelets, French toast with maple syrup, sandwiches, and daily homemade soups. Ice cream and yogurt are also offered. Gluten free options are available. The prices for most dishes/sandwiches are $ 5.50-$ 7.75 plus tax. The drink menu is more extensive including espresso drinks(from A&E), lattes, chai tea, hot tea by the pot, fresh squeezed juices, and yogurt smoothies. Coffee is not offered here, but they instead offer Americano(with 2 shots of espresso). I took a ride up to Hilltop Café for lunch recently. The café is order at the counter and there are three separate very cozy dining rooms with wood tables and chairs. The middle room has a brick fireplace and artwork on the walls. There’s also table seating outside in front of the house. For lunch, I ordered the Veggie Sandwich($ 7.25 plus tax) and an Americano($ 2.00 plus tax) and the food was brought to my table. The Veggie Sandwich was A-OK to me. This veggie sandwich tasted healthy, which had havarti cheese, avocado, sprouts, red onion, lettuce with sundried tomato aioli and a small trace of balsamic vinegar drizzle between soft(untoasted) multigrain bread(from the Good Loaf), though the amount of ingredients was sparing :(, served with crunchy kettle chips and small orange slice garnish. I am not raving about the sandwich I had. However, the Americano was made strong and very good. That drink definitely recharged me for the nice sunny afternoon. If I happen to be riding in the country through this neck of the woods, I’ll definitely order another espresso drink(very strong) and try a raspberry, mango, yoglurt, orange juice smoothie, and a few baked goods. Those peanut butter cookies and sticky rolls looked very nice. For now, 3.25 stars. CLOSED Sun-Mon(in Spring 2011) FACEBOOK: NOTE: The easiest way to get here, take NH Route 101 to Abbott Hill Rd(in Wilton) and go up to the top of the hill at the Abbott Hill Rd/Isaac Frye Rd «Y» intersection and look for the green farmhouse on the left. This route is all paved. Be warned, that Isaac Frye Hwy east of the farm towards Milford is a really bumpy and rutted dirt road with many craters. Not a pleasant ride because I drove it to the café from the Market Basket intersection in Milford.
