Blue Bacon Toys

Blue Bacon Toys is the place to go for birthday gifts. The owner is fabulous and friendly, we sat chatting on a sofa while she directed My daughter to things she might like to give to her friends for their birthdays. Once the gifts were chosen, she gift wrapped each one with gorgeous ribbons and tulle with an animal toy tied on top. Well worth the «in-​town» prices. You’d never find the merchandise or such treatment in Target, and I would much patronize local businesses than spend the big bucks on gas getting to San Marcos!

LOVE this store! It is so fantastic because it is full of love and joy! The staff is wonderful. They will help you find the perfect gift or leave you alone to just shop and play! I think the thing that really stands out about Blue Bacon is that they LOVE kids. There are great, unique, quality toys and clothes at reasonable prices. My daughter is five now and we have been shopping there since she was born!

Great store with lots of fun toys to pick from… great place to shop for the kid that has everything. Toys is every price range.

Not a fan– nor were the chilluns. The selection of toys was meh, and the staff was kinda meh. Kinda cute inside– but not really.

You know a toy store is going to be good when you find out it was named by a child in the first place.
I wandered into this toy store after remembering there was a 1 year old in my life whose birthday party was rapidly approaching.
There were a lot of toys to choose from, but I was particularly attracted to all the German toys and books that they had in the front room. Other than in Germany, I don’t think I’ve ever seen German toys and books in a toy store. I immediately loved them for this.
I ended up buying a $ 9 book which came complete with gift wrap and a million different colored ribbons — perfect for the non-​wrapper in me. The girl at the counter was super friendly and conversational and when I’m in these parts again (to be read in hick voice) and in need of a toy for a little one, I’ll be going here for sure.
PS — Don’t be fooled by the «toy store» next door. It’s got nothing on this place.
