Traveling through the area and we found this adorable little café. A small quiet restaurant with awesome service and great food! From our table we could watch our food be freshly prepared and the teams attitude that works here is very positive! As my mother said, this place is a flashback to a different time, with a great atmosphere. Reasonable prices and a great «blue plate» special.

Best of the best. Best Reuben evah. Katz Deli be afraid! Jesse is the coolest cat. Homemade cakes, delish. And most outrageous mashup, cinnamon roll french toast.
!!! I tip them so much my credit card company asks me if I meant to tip so much.
Ok, so I THOUGHT I submitted this, but must have wandered away. That was at least 3 months ago. Since then, almost every week we’ve partaken of genius food, and warm company! Ok, the new outrageous mashup-​Reuben Quesadilla! FSM is Jealous! Much Love!

Walked in at 6:30 am, big smile from the server, fresh, strong coffee. I ordered a delicious veggie omelet to go. My meal came out in 7 minutes & I was on my way. Great small diner that is worth the stop.

We found this place on Unilocal and were we lucky! Our breakfast was outstanding! Their hash is Amazing!!! I would like to go back and just order a monster size bowl of hash for breakfast!!! We’ll be back!!!

Great little place! Stopped for breakfast with a friend. Greeted warmly when we went in. It is small, very clean with prompt attentive service, prices are reasonable. We had standard breakfast items which were cooked perfectly and we had the cinnamon bun French toast — YUMMY! Very sweet it doesn’t need syrup which they bring with it. Highly recommend will definitely be back.

This place is perfect. The Ruben is the best I have had and I love that it comes with a side and he often has a homemade salad you can get instead of chips. I will be back to try breakfast and home made corned beef hash.

Friendly staff, cozy environment and great homemade food. They specialize in corn beef– rubens and hash in the am are delicious. Do not skip the homemade cinnamon roles, they grill them up heavenly warm.

If I could give this place six or more stars, I would. I felt welcome and very comfortable from the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out. Had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken sandwich — it was AMAZING — with the chick pea salad, which admittedly I had never had before but thoroughly enjoyed. Topped it all off with an warm Apple Pie Square, which was simply incredible. Good, homemade food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff — what else would you want?
You get all that here … so try them out. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

We decided to have our first breakfast in Winchendon here and we are glad we did! I had one of the daily specials– a Meat Lover’s Omelette with hash browns and toast. It was fast and tasty. My husband had scrambled eggs and corned beef hash. When the owner/​chef came out to check on our meal, we found out that the corned beef is made in-​house. It is delicious! I am looking forward to trying it on a Reuben sometime soon. Our server was very friendly and fast, despite serving a nearly full room. I can already see the Hometown Café becoming one of our «go-​to» spots for breakfast.

We stopped in on Saturday for coffee while making a decision about a decision on furniture at Winchendon Furniture. Great place; lovely and enthusiastic owners and staff, terrific food. Warm, welcoming… with some great menu ideas.

Absolutely delicious! Home cooked meals at reasonable prices. Very warm and friendly service. Next time I am near the area we will definitely stop in for a good meal.
