Winchendon, MA
Right around the corner with fresh coffee and fresh breakfasts. They usually run out of donuts and pastries by mid-​morning, so get there early. The ladies open the doors at either 5:00 or 5:30 in the morning after baking fresh every day.
There is a counter, some tables and a small town feel to the place. Folks sit over their coffees and chat, which is nice. There is even a take and leave book sharing shelf in the corner.
Personal favourite? Egg and cheese on a croissant, grilled in the pan, with a cup of black coffee. I have been known to rescue a plain donut or two if they look lonely.
