The WORST wings i’ve ever had in my life, no joke. I can’t believe how much their wings cost because they are overcooked, tough to pull meat off the bone, and the sauce flavor isn’t good either. They were also the smallest wings i’ve ever seen, barely any meat on them. Even Sheetz has bigger and better wings than this place, and they are cheaper too. The fries were also overcooked and flavorless. I won’t be coming back here again.

Ok, so this a local watering hole, yes it has a faint smell of cigarette smoke and is dark. So my fiancé and myself gave it a shot. Wednesday evening around 6 pm and it was very dead. We got seated right away and it was our choice. The server/bartender was Friendly and gave us plenty of time to make our choices. I recommend the jalapeño & macaroni cheese bites. I ordered the pastrami Ruben with fries, and the fiancé went with the turkey club and side salad. Ok, full disclosure, my fiancé is pregnant and can really only tolerate certain foods at the moment, and she was a very happy camper. My meal was very well also. So now to the not so good parts, the desserts were definitely frozen/store bought and was expecting that. I got a slice of pecan pie and she got the browny sundae. Not good at all the pie must have been in the microwave so long that it melted flat and burned my tongue. Overall a nice experience, yes I do live in winchester but we never have eaten here. Would I recommend it? I would say yes. Go for it.

By far the best restaurant in Winchester. The staff, ownership, and service are top notch. I am always impressed when I visit 147. It has something for everyone. The rest of the Winchester downtown scene could pick up a thing or two from these guys. Highly recommend.

I was so looking forward to having the fried green tomato Blt yesterday 4−15−15 for lunch when visiting winchester and it was horrible it could of been on better bread the bacon was too undercooked and rubbery and it totally lacked in taste for $ 9 it was very disappointing i love those sandwiches and you dont see them very often on any menus :(and the server had a bit of an attitude when my friend was curious asking about what was in the soup

Saw their menu featured during«restaurant week» and it looked really good. Didn’t have an opportunity to go then, so went last weekend to check it out. It’s not a restaurant, but a long, narrow, dark bar. The smell of cigeratte smoke hit us immediately. I don’t know if they smoke after hours or if the place just hasn’t been cleaned up since the no smoking in restaurants ban went into effect. We sat at the bar and had a beer. Based on décor and smell, we had no desire to eat there.

We arrived in Winchester in the evening. After a long drive we checked into our hotel and strolled along Loudon Street to stretch our legs. We stopped into 147 North at about 8:30 p.m. just to get some appetizers and a quick drink. We ordered off the happy hour menu the waitress recommended. I tried to get the fried green tomatoes but she said that was the old menu and they no longer offer them. So we ordered spinach & artichoke dip, some fried pickle«fries»(again suggested) and the fried mushrooms. Now granted these aren’t exactly healthy foods, but this was meant to be a quick snack, not a heavy meal. The spinach artichoke was the«best» of the three. It however was served luke warm and you could still see the big chunks of cream cheese in it. It was very heavy and sticky, not smooth or light. The pickles and mushrooms were awful. They were so heavy with grease that the fried layer was dense. Just really not good. We didn’t even eat half of what we ordered. My husband felt sick by the time we got back to the hotel. I woke up at 1:30 a.m. feeling like I had a hot ball of lead in my stomach. I was very, very sick. I am not giving a one-star review because we didn’t order off of the main menu so maybe their entrees are better. However we both felt ill and the food we did try was so greasy. The atmosphere is nice however; it has the feel of a local watering hole and it also has a cute patio section.

Fri/8/23/u2013 New chef Blackened Rockfish We were served a small Tilapia filet for the $ 20 cost or the bogus Rockfish Yes They burned are Ass Let’s hope that we don’t have credit card charges coming from China/Asia as a result from patronizing this resteruant They are so dishonest Realised the«burn» & foolishly let it slide But NOW You all know My husbands’ steak was cooked very well

The pastrami Reuben was excellent, although the seasoned fries that came with it were just so-so. Good, not great. The place strikes me as a bar that happens to serve food, rather than a restaurant that happens to serve beer.

My wife and I had the opportunity to head to this place during lunch on a rather rainy day. Now, granted, the place might be great for dinner, but they are definitely not on their game when it comes to lunch. We ordered our food, it was servicable. Not bad, not good, but… just there. Service itself was uneven, but as I mentioned, it was a slow day, so they might not have been at their best. Either way, not really impressed enough to make a trip back anytime soon.
