Definitely save alot of $$ shopping here. They have some pretty good stuff, especially specialty cheeses, organic items like yogurt, milk, and pasta, they now carry 5 lb. Bags of jasmine rice for 4.99 which is a dollar cheaper than foodmaxx where I normally buy it. They get specialty foods in for major holidays which I tend to like, different items you might not see in walmart or food lion. Vegetables and fruit selection is limited, but onions potatoes and other things are always on special so normally they are very inexspensive. This is a great place for staple products and certain organics.

I started shopping here about two months ago in an effort to see if we could cut back on our grocery bill. Wow! I wish we had made the switch a long time ago. We were spending about $ 120 or more a week grocery shopping at Martin’s. Now we never spend more than $ 60 a week; usually less. Thats a huge saving over the course of the year(about $ 3,000). The selection here is much more limited of course, but that makes shopping a lot faster and easier really. Now we just go to a «normal» grocery store if we are after a particular ingredient that Aldi doesn’t carry. Some things here I don’t care for, like their frozen seafood. The things that they do very well(that we’ve been using regularly) are: eggs, milk, yogurt, lettuce, avocados, cherry tomatoes, onions, apples, carrots, broccoli, bell peppers, tortillas, clementines, hummus, cheese, nuts, salsa, broth, bread, chicken breasts, frozen veggies and fruit, crackers, and chips.
