Cafe Piazza Dolce

My husband and I decided to give this place a try. We were very pleased! We ordered an Antipasto to start. The presentation was very nice, the quality of the meats was excellent and everything was sliced nice and thin the way is supposed to be! Our entrees didn’t disappoint either! I had the grilled shrimp with rabbi and polenta, my husband had the Seafood with pasta. The owner was a sweetheart! She made it a point to check on everyone! My husband is from Italy. When you can make him happy in an Italian Restaurant… you“ve done something! My waitress was friendly. Our service was excellent. Try this little gem. it won’t disappoint!

Visiting family from California and found this nice little restaurant in Winchester /​Woburn. The kitchen and staff was very accommodating to special requests. Great selection menu items of salads, pasta and grilled food. Good kids menu. Lovely place.

I’ll make this simple. This is a very cute place and has great coffee and desserts. But the food is terrible and the service mediocre. So … Go for a coffee and a treat but skip it if a meal is what you’re looking for.

We found the main entrees to be excellent. Foods was well prepared, cooked and served just right. We had the lobster ravioli and grilled chicken dish. Both were very tasty with just enough spices and sauces to make the meal enjoyable and filling. The waitstaff was excellent, paying just the right amount attention to us and were prompt and courteous. The pricing for the entrees were very reasonable and a good value.
We were less impressed with the appetizers, drinks and dessert. Ordered the Calamari, which amounted to about 10 – 12 pieces so it was almost $ 1 per piece. It tasted good but they either need to lower the price or add more calamari. A glass of basic wine was expensive and I was taken back on expensive it was when we got the bill. We ordered the Tiramisu but were not impressed and had better at many other places.
Overall the food is excellent and the place is very well run and managed. If you stick to the main courses the food is good and a great value for the price. I would recommend Café Piazza Dolce and would come again, but only stick with the main courses.

Easily would be a 5star if not for the elusive/​invisible waitress combined with the, sitting at the bar uninterested manager/​owner. My assumption was discord or maybe the doors are closing at the end of the year. This place was loaded with disinterest and complacency that filled establishment with said aura. Except for the FOOD, which was absolutely perfect and done in a timely manner, this kitchen deserves better than the people working the front.
Against my own norms as an x/​1^st cook in a restaurant I lowered my tip from 26 to 16 on @100 $ lunch w/​out liquor tab for 3. We got up to pour our own water and all stood to draw attention of the need to get our check!
Crazy stuff that the manager/​owner saw along with other table servers and no one worked as a team to stall the actions by a waitress who better get an office job.
Thanks for making us feel invisible and not worthy of attention. Idiots!

Food is delicious. They would have gotten more stars if it weren’t for the staff. The hostess and our waitress were clueless. We were sat at the only table without a candle on it and the chairs were very uncomfortable. We got the pesto chicken ziti alfredo and chicken parm. Delicious. Garlic knots served as the table bread. they were ice cold. Waitress couldn’t tell my husband what beers they had on tap and seemed annoyed with me and my 20% off Unilocal coupon. We’ll give it one more shot. The ambiance and décor was very cozy and romantic.

We had a date night at their outside tables and it was very romantic. We ordered a cucumber martini and a vodka based mojito. They were ok. The true winners were the appetizers and entrees. We ordered truffle fries and white wine clams. My personal favorite were the clams. For entrée, the gnocchi with sausage and mozzarella was home made and delicious. The truffle orecchirta was also very good. Plates here are vertu large. Desserts were just ok. We would have given the restaurant 5 stars if it weren’t for the drinks and desserts. We will definitely come back since there were several things in the menu that looked interesting… Especially that wood fired pizza!

Thanks Unilocal reviewers! Hanging out in business at the Courtyard Marriott and searched for a good place for take out dinner. This place was perfect. Was able to order and pay online thru Unilocal and food was ready as scheduled. Ordered gnocchi with meat sauce and a side ceaser. Delicious! The sauce smelled so good just driving back to the hotel. All expectations were met and enjoyed a great meal. Restaurant looked very nice as well for dine in and many guests were enjoying their meal al fresco.

A treat for your senses! Yesterday we had a relaxing lovely lunch, with cool breezes blowing through the outdoor terrace, a serene escape for family conversation, and the joy of being together, laughter, and grandchildren. Oh, the food is extraordinary! It is prepared and served with old world skills that delighted everyone. Alessandra plays to all of your senses to deliver «wonderful».

My wife and I discovered this place last weekend. From the outside, one really can’t discern how lovely it is, on the inside. Casual, but with a warmth and vibe, not often found in the suburbs. Especially in a place like Winchester!
The staff were tremendous. And the food was very fresh and flavorful. REAL Italian food. With regional flavors abound. Many, many, many, claim to serve authentic Italian food. Very few deliver IMHO.
This little place is special. Enough to raise my curiosity, to do a little research about the place. It turns out, that the business was built, by a very hard-​working entrepreneurial young woman, while still attending college. Who had learned to cook, by her grandmother’s side. After reading that, I was not surprised at all. The food, and the restaurant itself, was full of good vibrations.
I salute the owner and her staff, for the food and the service, prepared and delivered, with pride. Her Nona must be proud of her.

Last night my boyfriend and I had one of the best meals, at least that I have had in years. And we found the Café because of a Groupon.
The Chicken Walnut Faggotini was like heaven– very rich, but not overwhelming with great flavor. My boyfriend had a beautiful side spinach salad with topped with sugar-​toasted nuts (walnuts perhaps?) and a chicken dish– can’t remember the name, but it was a variation on chicken Parmesan, with fried eggplant on top. The red sauce was just the right consistency– not too light– not too heavy. The garlic knots were addictive. We dined outside on their sidewalk patio because it was such a lovely evening. We will return, hoping for a similar, wonderful experience.

Amazing food and amazing service. Would highly recommend this awesome restaurant. Must try the antipasto! The basilchello was everything.

The veal parm was great. Balanced in flavor and well served.

Wow! This place was AMAZING. We were looking for a fun little romantic date night and that’s exactly what we got. My husband and I liked it so much that as we walked out we were planning our next time there (likely grabbing our folks so they can all experience it).
We started a bit over zealous (as always) with two apps. We ordered the veggie misto & the fried mozzarella. The mozzarella was delicious, very typical and the veggies were really good! I even tried a mushroom (not usually a fan). The plate was delicious.
We then dove into dinner. I tried the gnocchi with sausage, delicious and large portion. Hubby had the sausage dinner with polenta and caprese on the side. The polenta was so creamy & delicious! We had enough to take home leftovers for both of us. We then ordered the panacotta to go (because we were so full but craving the homemade desserts).
The best part about the experience (aside from the outrageously delicious food), was that the food was fresh, local and homemade. The restaurant was family owned (or felt as though it was). The staff was amazing, tight knit and very attentive. What a great place! Go there now.

Gorgonzola fries and grilled bone out rib eye were absolutely delicious. I had a flash back from my Italy trip!

Great pizza! My sister and I split the large and we could only eat half because it was so big. Service was excellent and it has a great atmosphere.

I hadn’t been to Café Dolce in years and was on a hunt for an outdoor patio recently for a dinner date with one of my friends. It was a Tuesday and the outdoor seating area was pretty much full, which is definitely a good sign to begin with. Luckily we snagged a table early enough.
The place screams family owned and it’s obvious how much passion goes into each customer and the preparation of each meal and drink. Our waiter was incredibly attentive.
We started with their blood orange mojitos which were AMAZING. The fruit and mint was muddled fresh, definitely no simple syrup involve in it. The rolls and oil were fresh and warm and we had a very difficult time deciding on a meal.
I was using their Unilocal deal for 20% off any entrée (great deal) and we decided to split a large specialty pizza. We got the Margherita and added prosciutto.
Everything was fresh and of course we couldn’t finish a large pizza to our faces so we each got to take a slice or two home. We were stuffed silly but couldn’t turn down homemade dessert. We went with the tiramisu and we weren’t disappointed! It was fresh and recommended by our waiter. We walked away incredibly satisfied and will definitely be back! The patio is great, prefect for a date or even a group dinner.

I’m going to start off by saying that this restaurant is adorable and romantic. My boyfriend and I went on a whim, on a Friday night (we should’ve made reservations but we got lucky and didn’t have to wait long). The sangria is made, EACH TIME YOU ORDER. So fresh, so strong, and so deliciously worth it. I took a sip and I was like, «woo hoo, I only need one of these babies» but it had fresh fruit and yuuummmmyyyy
We ordered the house-​made ravioli, a Caesar salad, and a large margarita pizza with extra garlic. The pizza alone was worth every bite, but we should’ve either ordered the small or forgot about the pasta (also wonderful) because it was a full sized pizza and we didn’t expect that. It had fresh melting mozzarella that tasted like it was made by an Italian grandmother in their kitchen that morning.
It wasn’t expensive considering how great the portions are and that the pasta is made in their kitchen (not from a box or a frozen bag!), the waitress/​hostess/​everyone was wonderful to us. Any negative reviews on here should suck one because if they ever had bad service then they must’ve addressed it before I ever got there. Me and my boyfriend are going here every month from now until probably forever.
