Food. The service is pretty fast, faster than the normal restaurant. The prices are a little high but what we would expect from a fancy place. I think the wait staff is very accommodating and can make any mixtures of foods for allergies. Good takeout time too.

Great food, service and atmosphere. The Bartender William is excellent. The Pupu platter for one is my favorite.

Even if the food was great(which it’s not), the service kills it. I only had sushi but honestly i’ve had better from the supermarket. Our waitress was breathing down our necks for us to order from the moment we sat down even though we asked for a few minutes to review the menu. Our food came out almost immediately after ordering but my sushi was brought at the same time soup and salad was brought out for my dinner partner, instead of as an entrée. Not a big deal but not ideal. Unfortunately we felt very rushed by our waitress to leave even though it was a weeknight and the restaurant wasn’t busy. She ignored requests for more tea and did not ask us if we wanted dessert. I definitely won’t be going back.

Mediocre. Friendly service but strictly middle of the road.

Ordered the Garlic Shrimp for takeout and it was very tasty. Ready in about 15 minutes on a Friday night. Also ordered the Crispy Sesame Tofu but wasn’t great, too soft for my taste and not very crispy. Next time I’ll go for the chicken.

Don’t go to this place if you want service or decent food — the fortune cookies are fine tho

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Last night my family and I ate there for what was my first time, but not theirs. They really talked China Sky up and I am so glad to say that it was even better than what I had imagined! We sat at the sushi bar, which always makes for a great experience, and William waited on us. He was extremely attentive, gave great suggestions, and worked to go above and beyond with meeting all of our needs. The drinks and food were amazing and a bonus, almost everything on the menu can be made to fit any dietary needs. I have some severe food allergies and every single one of my needs were met. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their meals and almost all of us took some home, the portions are huge. I urge everyone in the area to give China Sky a try — We will absolutely be back for more.

This review is more 2.5 stars. Unfortunately, I think the quality of the food has gone down. Burned chicken wings, greasy spring roll, dried out boneless ribs, didn’t like the low mein sauce. The won ton soup doesn’t have any vegetables in it. No bok choy no mushrooms, no water chestnuts. They do have awesome fried rice.

My boyfriend and I went to China Sky on a Friday night. We were sat immediately, which I can’t say would have happened for many other restaurants. As soon as we sat down, our waitress came and quietly delivered a pot of tea and two small tea cups. The tea was very tasty. I loved the nice clean table clothes, the music played in the background, the perfect lighting and each table had a very beautiful flower on it. This place pays attention to the details. We ordered spring rolls for an app, and they were brought out shortly after we ordered them, but not before our waitress brought out app plates and duck sauce. I swear our waitress was keeping an eye out because as soon as I took my last bite, she cleared our plates to make way for dinner. Other staff were also filling our waters constantly which was nice not to have to ask. Our entrée came out. We ordered a plate of veggie lo mein and the sesame chicken and split it. It was just enough for the two of us with a little extra, as the sesame chicken also came with steamed white rice. ITWASDELICIOUS. So good. We ate it all up and the waitress came over and politely asked if we were done and removed the plates. She also checked at the beginning of the meal if it was to our satisfaction. Our check came with 2 fortune cookies, and it was only $ 30 bucks. Granted we didn’t get alcoholic drinks and we did split 2 large plates, but the food was more than enough. I think it should be noted that you DONT have to spend tons of cash in a Winchester. Additionally, the staff atmosphere was very pleasant. Everyone seemed happy and the staff was pleasant to all guests, not just their table. I was very satisfied with this restaurant and will definitely go back for a repeat!

This is my 12 year old son’s favorite restaurant. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. We’ve been coming here for many years so it’s like a family. I see the friendliness and familiarity with not just my family but with many others that dine there. The ingredients are always fresh and they are willing to accommodate every request we’ve ever had. Including when we figured out my son has a gluten intolerance. With plenty of notice they even made a few large trays of gluten free appetizers for a family party I was hosting. This is and will continue to be one of our regular stops when we eat out!

Over priced mediocre food at best! Wish I could have a server that can speak a little English. Horrible service every time! Stomach turns every time I think of going to this place and after our last experience, I’m done! Good luck if you take the chance to go to a Chinese restaurant located in an ally!

We ordered take out from China Sky during a holiday visit to my in-laws. The food was very good, but I was shell-shocked by the price. I was excited to see they had both Japanese and Chinese food on the menu since my family loves Chinese but won’t set foot in a Japanese restaurant with me. So I ordered some sushi. I didn’t think the sushi prices seemed that bad on the menu. Other sushi places I’ve been would charge $ 13 for a LARGE roll that was almost a meal in itself and $ 6 for a smaller roll, so I was okay with that at face value. I was very disappointed when I opened my dinner to find how small the rolls were. The maguro(tuna) was okay, but not great. I did NOT get my money’s worth. Since I didn’t get a meal out of the sushi, I had some of the Chinese food we ordered, too, and it was pretty good. My family had General Tso’s Chicken and Crunchy Sesame Chicken and dumplings. In the end, I would eat here again because the food was good, but I wouldn’t bother ordering any sushi. I’d just stick with the Chinese food family style.

I was surprised by how nice this place looks inside because the street where it’s on looks sketchy. We were quickly seated, got water and tea right away. Great. Our waitress then proceeded to want to take our orders while I was still putting my coat on the back of my chair. She came back trying to take our order, 3 times in 5 minutes. Not so great. We both got a combo that allows you to get three maki rolls. I went with basic rolls and got a spicy tuna maki, tuna & avocado maki and a shrimp tempura roll. The combo comes with miso soup, which we got in 2 minutes. Great. My friend also ordered the same combo and got her rolls about 5 minutes before I got mine. Different rolls, but I ordered no wasabi– I’m allergic to wasabi. Not so great. My friend finished her rolls before me, and our waitress removed her plate as she was putting her last piece of sushi in her mouth. Not so great. When I finished my rolls, my plate was also removed from the table within a couple of minutes. And the check followed immediately after. Mind you, she didn’t ask if we were done, wanted dessert or anything… Not so subtle… We were trying to have a nice girl-talk. You know? The kind where we gossip and talk about nothing and everything, but our waitress was determined to get us out of this place immediately. So, yeah, that was pretty annoying. Why am I giving them 4 stars, you ask? Because they give free green tea, which many other places don’t anymore. Their sushi was also very good, their decoration is very tasteful and place looks nice and clean, we were seated quickly and the prices although not great, they weren’t bad. I figured next time I go, I can just try to stay away from the same waitress, and hopefully I won’t be kicked out of there within seconds of eating my last piece of sushi,… :-)

I got some pretty tasty takeout from China Sky the other night, I called it in and it was ready in less than 20 minutes. This will be my go to Chinese joint in Winchester. The quality of the food is great and I would describe the restaurant as high end, as far as Chinese restaurants go anyway. You won’t be disappointed with any of your favorite Chinese classics like scallion pancakes, crab rangoons, and chicken that would make General Gau proud.
