THISISNOT A COUPONFRIENDLYLOCATION, they will give you a hard time. The cashier is openly timid about accepting them because she said she just got reprimanded recently… she didn’t even try to acknowledge what each said, to her: she acted as if they were written in Latin. She called a male manager and questioned him on each coupon noting that she just got in trouble accepting coupons recently. So the manager comes over to the check out line and slowly reads each one, then he has the balls to tell me that they can’t be used. The coupons say $ 1 off ANY ‘insert name of product here’ and that is exactly what I had, same product, and applicable coupon. Well, even the manager demonstrated that he is completely inept at reading the obvious. Instead, he formulated his own opinion contrary to what was clearly stated on the coupons… then he proceeded to tell me I can’t use them here. I held up the product and said the name of it out loud, I picked up the coupon and said«what does this say?» and read it out loud. Then I said, so you are telling me this is not the same product??? Look…shopping should never become a stressful event. I took my coupons back from the cashier and walked out. For the record, I’ve used the same coupons at three other Dollar Tree stores in Northern Virginia on the exact same products and each accepted them with no hesitation and no problems. Those cashiers were polite, courteous, and friendly. Do I have any recommendations for the Dollar Tree District Supervisor? YES! Please ensure that EACH Manager and staff member in your zone are properly trained on how to take coupons from customers on transactions, and educate them on how to ensure each Dollar Tree customer has a better overall shopping experience at this store. Your Employees and Staff are a direct representation of your corporation. If these individuals come across as being incompetent… that is exactly how customers will take them and will choose to go elsewhere. Folks — Until the employees and cashiers at this location fully understand how to accept coupons and provide better customer relations… l STRONGLYSUGGESTYOUTAKEYOURBUSINESSELSEWHERE. There are other competitors in this market such as Dollar General, Family Dollar, and $ 5 and Below. Each would be happy to have you as one of their customers.

Ok, I would NOT normally review a Dollar Tree store but really… this place was one of the best I have been to. The customer service here is AMAZING! It was close to closing, and my friend and I came in to grab a toothbrush for the hotel we were staying in near by. Low and behold, I left with 20 bucks worth of $ 1 items. You can never walk in intending to spend $ 1, it is impossible. They get you every time. But really, this review is for the sales associate. He was cleaning, stocking and cashing me out at the same time. He was SUPER nice and asked if we needed help in a very genuine and comforting way. It was basically closing time, and he was nothing but nice. I know the man was tired after had been working all day on Memorial day. Now this is good customer service, hard to find these days.

Cute holiday items for $ 1! Kind of sloppy and unorganized though.
