Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I don’t think that I’ve ever had a bad or even a not so good experience here. From food to service to cleanliness, they are always firing on all cylinders. The fries have so much flavor and they always give you extra. Totally worth the trip, every time. You also always feel welcome. Best fast casual place in Winchester. Unless there’s a Wahlburgers coming soon?

You can’t go wrong with Five Guys. We were visiting from out of state and after being disappointed by most of our restaurants choices on our trip, we decided to go to Five Guys because we have enjoyed it at home so often. We weren’t disappointed. They are consistently good at what they do. Such a relief for us to enjoy a tasty meal after so many bad meals on the road for several days.

Sacks of fresh potatoes, but limp fries – always. Why is that?
Hamburgers? Good, but nothing special – overrated I say.
Finally, today I tried to order 2 hot dogs w/​chili, mustard and onions. «Sorry, we don’t have chili.»
Hot dogs on a menu, but no chili?
«Sorry, no more 5 Guys for me.»
Yet another fast food joint that falls disappointingly short.

Probably the best burgers in Winchester. Employees are always friendly. Always greeted when we walk in and thanked for coming when we leave. Food isn’t fast food prices, but quality and quantity are there, so you get what you pay for.

Standard 5 Guys, but easier to get in and out if you go for lunch rather than dinner.

Pros: The restaurant is located in a nice location right off the interstate.
Cons: The dinning area is small and cramped. The employees are a little on the slow side. I am not sure how you can screw up a burger indicated «All the way».
(Please note that I took the advice of the gentleman posting below and reached out to Five Guys corporate several weeks ago. The corporate management has yet to contact me with any sort of apology or explanation)

Five Guys: Good Burger or Low Expectations?
Let’s start with burgers at your usual fast food restaurants have become pretty pathetic over the years. By comparison the Five Guys burger is much better. But that’s like being the smartest kid in summer school.
I think the fries are hard to beat. I think most Frenchmen would be happy with these frites. Otherwise service is competent, nice selection of toppings, free peanuts, priced to keep riff-​raff at McDonald’s.
So to sum up I guess it’s the best burger I can get in under 10 mins. But if it’s the best burger you have ever had you need to get out more.

Go here if you want a burger cooked the way you like it and a side of cajun fries! Plenty of food and is delicious! And the service is excellent!

So delicious, what every burger place should be like.

I took my 5 yo son here for lunch the other day and it was delicious. I have never had a bad experience here. So we ordered a little cheeseburger (for the little man) and a hamburger (for me) with lettuce, pickles, ketchup and BBQ sauce!
YUUUUUMMMMMM. The food was made to order it was hot and delicious. What honestly caught me by surprise was that when we walked in we were the very first customers for the day and the place looked very very clean. Well, once we received our food I was watching the employees and when they had no customers they were cleaning stuff constantly. I watched a girl clean windows, doors, check the restrooms and restock, clean tables and even clean near the drink machine. I know this sounds stupid to be shocked by this, but you don’t see this everyday. The staff looked very young and to have such dedication to their job I was more impressed than shocked. The entire staff that I had contact with her friendly and so prompt to answer a question. Mind you I had previously said it was only me and my 5 yo son so I decided to get one order of fries and share them so I thought OK a large. When I ordered the fries and told the girl we would share them she suggested a small because they give a good amount in just a small and it may be a better fit for us. WOW, the amount of fries we got in the bag was huge in a small. Him and I didn’t even eat them all he actually ate the rest on the way home.
All in all I am very happy with this restaurant, the employees, the cleanliness and the very prompt polite service. I will recommend this place to friends and family and you’ll see my face back here soon.

I like the fact that you get like ten pounds of fries with each order but i’m over the whole «overly-​greasy» burger thing.

Great hamburgers but a bit on the pricey side. Fries also very good — a small order could satisfy a family of four. If you eat here on a regular basis you will become endomorphic.

Had to stop and see what all the fuss was about after my very picky mom raved over their food!!!
Little hesitant about ordering a small fry, since I am without a doubt fry obsessed! I can never have enough of them, yet at five guys I did!
As everyone has mentioned they fill a cup, or should i say overfill =)
The bag was filled with fries! This alone would have been worth going back for! Add that to the malt vinegar they have and fresh, cooked to order burgers (with tons of optional toppings) and you have one of my fav places to have a burger!!!

Great burgers. need I say more? We have tried several burger joints in the area and this is one of the top five. Love the free peanuts and the price is right for the amount of food that you get. Oh, and don’t forget the hotdogs !!

Man are these good burgers! It just doesn’t get any better. My only complaint is this is the only Five Guys in town (for the moment). This is the way burgers are supposed to be. Being a burger snob I’ve tried every burger in town, and there are a couple other places that have very good burgers. When this location opened the was another burger joint opening about the same time, Fosters Grill. I had heard a lot about Fosters and was interested to see how they stacked up vs. Five Guys. Five Guys is better. That said Fosters is very good, it’s where I go when the line is too long at Five Guys. MMMMM… come to think of it it’s time for a burger.

Oooh, Five Guys in Winchester! I was very happy the first couple of times I went to Five Guys here in Winchester. It was everything I’ve grown used to in the Reston/​Herndon area Five Guys that I hit for lunch sometimes. Everything everyone else has sad, does a good job of describing what you get here. And if there wasn’t a better burger place just a half mile away, I would probably be adding at least one more star to Five Guys. However, with Foster’s Grille on the other side of I-​81 in the Martin’s shopping center… why would you go to Five Guys?!?

Yeeahhh! I love to see Winchester growing. Even if it’s just a burger joint, it is still movement in the right direction. As always, Five Guys had wonderful burgers and fries. My favorite – the little cheeseburger with fried onions and mushrooms.
Lots of grease, good when your craving that sort of thing. Now, if Winchester could only get a Whole Foods to balance that out :)
