I went to Graze for the second time in 2 years. Have tried to bring my adult children before but the Restaurent always closes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The food is excellent as is the ambiance. BUT, this past Saturday I got 4 friends to go there after talking the Restaurent up for years. We were about 15 minutes late for our 6:30 pm reservation. When we got there we were told the minute we sat at our table that we would have to leave by 8pm because the table was reserved for another group. At no point when the reservation was made did they inform us of this. At 7:50pm, the waitress told us we had to leave. We paid our very expensive bill and left. Our group is a well travelled, foodie type group who have been to many fine restaurants possibly all around the world and None of us have Ever been treated like this at a Restaurent. Needless to say, we will Never be back. There are many wonderful restaurants in Lexington that would welcome our business. Thus, the one star review.

Excellent. What Kentucky should be known for. Local-sourced, rural, unpretentious little place. Chalk-board menu. Went for lunch — will go back for dinner.

My husband and I have been to Graze twice and loved it both times — our favorite restaurant in the Lexington area so far. I’m a big fan of farm to table, although this is case is more like table to the farm! The drive out there is through the lovely Lexington countryside. I appreciate the simple, rotating menu of a select number of dishes done very well — and with a surprisingly international bent given the ‘locovore’ nature. If you have any significant dietary restricitons(eg vegetarian) you might want to phone ahead. Their pasta dishes are a particular favorite of ours — we’re hoping to make it to their Thursday night ‘pasta night’ someday soon. Desserts have also been a highlight. Small wine and beer list, but with good quality options. Beers are all, I believe, bottled/canned, not on tap. The second time we went, there was a large, loud, rowdy group of not exactly pleasant fellow diners seated at the same time as us. The management noticed it was distrubing us and were very classy and professional in how they handled it. Although there was not much they could do about that group, their handling of the situation left me with nothing but good will to the restaurant. Service is nicely attentive and very friendly. Charming atmosphere in a converted post office/general store type building. Friday and Saturday nights, reservations are definitely required and sometimes need to be made several days in advance. It’s a small place and understandably popular!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Very quaint atmosphere with great service. The menu changes twice a day so it’s amazingly fresh. The salad comes with every meal and the homemade dressing is delicious.

First of all, don’t trust the map on Unilocal for the location — it isn’t correct. But once you find this place you will be so happy you did! A cute little restaurant out in the middle of gorgeous farmland — it feels completely hidden from town. We went in the middle of the week and had no trouble walking in without a reservation. But there are only a handful of tables inside, so I would definitely recommend calling ahead. There isn’t a printed menu — just the four entrees of the day written on the chalkboard. I opted for the burger and my husband had the pork. I was a little unsure of how my burger was going to turn out — goat cheese, figs, and blueberry sauce. On a burger. That can’t be good, right? Wrong — it was SO good! My only complaint was that the burger itself didn’t seem to be seasoned at all. Same thing for the pork — it was tasty and the polenta it rested on was great, but the meat could have used a little more seasoning. Both came with a starter salad of mixed greens, strawberries, and blueberries. And here is where they lose a star(well, this and the unseasoned meat): it wasn’t very appetizing to see them pulling the mixed greens out of a plastic tub from the market. Especially when they claim to use fresh local ingredients. If they are going to use greens from a plastic tub, it might be a better idea to transfer them to a large kitchen bowl before the restaurant opens that day. Service was just fine and we will definitely be back to try more of the chef’s creations!

Great service, cute country store turned sophisticated farm to table. If you’re a SF foodie or particular Manhattanite this place will sat-iss-fyyy. Honestly though, a treat for anyone with good taste. Small enough for an intimate dinner, big enough for comfort. Classy casual attire is what I’d recommend. The starter salads were a combo of mixed field greens, fresh strawberries, and homemade vinaigrette. I love a good salad and this one was perf. Graze changes their menu daily. No food menu, no apps. Chose from their specials briefly noted on the chalkboard. Our options were rib eye, pork tenderloin, cod, and farfalle pasta(vegetarian option.) We chose the beef and pork, both cooked perfectly(medium rare, legit!), the sauces were rich but not too heavy and seasoned perfectly. The poblano pepper chips on the pork dish were a nice burst of flavor. For dessert we shared a slice of homemade blackberry-lime cake. Amazing! The cake was pound cake like, well worth the calories and not too sweet. We will be back!

A little out of the way gem. Pure farm to table. No menu. Four entrees were noted on the chalkboard on the wall, but with no details. The waitress gave us the particulars of each. I had the very large and delicious pork chop with a bacon miso glaze(and goodies) on the top of the chop, on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes, with a multi bean salad, including green beans. The salad that came with the entrée was rather uninspiring — local greens with strawberries, grated parmesan and a house balsamic dressing. I was disappointed they were out of bison, which they procure from a nearby buffalo ranch, as I was looking forward to that. The desserts, all homemade, sounded luscious, but I couldn’t eat another bite. I’d like to get out there for lunch to try more of there dishes, but it’s a bit of a drive. That’s the only reason I can see that might keep me from doing so.

Local spirits before local food. The dishes change twice a day for lunch and dinner. Tonight, a wonderful steak, bacon carbonara pasta, and a local Brookview Farms Steak. I’m hankerin’ for some cow and the pepper sauce is so au póivre! Make reservations to get Here now!

Wonderful. Fresh, simple ingredients, center stage. Local grass fed ribeye was magnificent, and the pan sauce… holy Hannah!!! Get here, eat here!

First visit and we were impressed; friendly service, fresh specials & great flavors. We had pork tacos and the burger with caramelized onions, goat cheese & reduction sauce. Outstanding quality and enjoyable to visit somewhere different than the average impressive beer & wine selection. Well worth the drive; we will return.

Graze is a great restaurant and I really hope people come to find it’s worth the little 6 mile drive to the out skirts of Lexington/Winchester. We had reservations when we went and so the seating for us was not an issue. I loved the limited menu. It seems like restaurants, at least lately, are really into tons of variety. I prefer when they have more of a «these are your only options» attitude. Restaurants with this style seem to have the best food because their chefs aren’t stretched to make such a huge selection of food. All the food was fresh and the waitress was very informative. We were pleasantly surprised my the cost and the pork chops were to die for. All in all this is a cute fun place that everyone should visit.

I was excited to try Graze based on its website, ultra-local focus, and its location. I wasn’t exactly disappointed but I also wasn’t wowed, unfortunately. The space is very cute, parking is very easy, and atmosphere was good(FYI: only about 18 – 20 seats so plan accordingly). Our server was able to list the evening’s options, but really couldn’t answer many questions. We didn’t mind that the place was very casual but in such an intimate restaurant we expected more information available about what we were going to eat and drink. The four of us had one chicken curry, two of the pork two ways, and one steak Alfredo. The entrees were average but priced appropriately. A simple paper menu with more detail would help inform diners. For example, the steak description led us to believe it was steak with a side of pasta and veggies. In fact it was a pasta bowl with everything in one place. Picky perhaps but frustrating nonetheless. I’d revisit Graze to try lunch there and perhaps dinner during Kentucky’s growing season.

Tiny, gem of a dining experience. Better get reservations as seating is extremely limited. Had the Lasagna and it was fantastic, served on a cast iron skillet.

A little late on this review. This restaurant is a great welcome addition to Clark County although if you walk a few feet out the door you are in Fayette. This is a small restaurant, intimate and comfortable. I don’t know about weekday evenings but if you want a table on a weekend, you need a reservation. I made our reservation on a Tuesday for Friday night and all that was left was a very early 6 pm reservation. Great wine selection. Limited menu that changes nightly. Some of our party had the strip steak that was an excellent cut of tender beef although pepper was a little heavy for my taste. Others in our party ordered prime rib which was excellent as well. Salads were fresh as we’re the accompanying vegetables. I will make my reservations earlier next time for a weekend evening. Hope they are around for a long time to come.

Fantastic food: flavorful, sophisticated taste, good but not pretentious presentation and at a reasonable price. We had seafood soup and steak. Both were among the best we have had. The simple salad that comes with the entrée was drizzled with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It tasted and looked very fresh, no garnish, and the balsamic vinegar had a perfect level of sweetness and density. The service was friendly and attentive. There is a small case of lovely fresh flowers on each table. The restaurant was small, cozy, a bit loud due to the acoustics of the room, but not too noisy to hear the other person across the table. The décor is interesting but not overbearing. We would definitely like to return.
