Best kept secret in Kernstown! Awesome low key restaurant with great prices and fast service! The friendly staff is also a big bonus!

My So was excited to show me this place, but I must confess that I didn’t love it. We shared a shrimp Alfredo and bacon chicken bbq pizza; the crust was hand tossed, medium thickness, variable chewiness, but neither of the sauces was amazing. I probably wouldn’t give it another shot, but my fiancé liked his first experience with thin crusts enough that he might.

My work should own stock in this place. We order from there bc the prices are good and they always deliver fast. I love their sandwiches but after reading some other people’s reviews I need to try their pizza.

I just love this place. When you’re in the middle of nowhere and need a pizza fix that tastes like it could be from NYC, it can be addicting. I love the service(they deliver too and are also on Foodler where you can order online and they just show up), the salads, and pasta dishes(tilapia puttanesca is wonderful). It’s become my favorite treat when I’m in the area.

I wish I could give 2.5 stars. Somewhere in between Meh and Yay, I’m a fan, or whatever it says. I went here expecting better based on the two reviews. I should know better to go with just two ratings. Anyhow. I should have known when I showed up at lunch time and there was one there as a customer. I was the 2nd. When I left there were a total of 4 customers. Not a good sign for a place this size. The young lady working there was very nice(red head) and she was watching what I assume was the owners daughter. She was very good with the child. Of course she had plenty of time since there were basically no customers. I ordered a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza. The pizza showed up looking like an out of the box frozen pizza cooked. It tasted better than one but for some reason that’s what it looked like. I would rate the pizza as middle of the road as far as taste goes. In between bland and good. Any good pizza place should have either a pizza stand for the table or a pizza table to place next to the customers table and Metro had neither. Not a huge deal but would have been nice as I was trying to read the paper. I would possibly go back to give it a 2nd chance but I’m not sure.

Great tasting crust. I’m only giving 4 stars because they should use Roma tomatoes for this toppings & Greek salad instead of the pale large ones. The dressing for the Greek salad could be much better. It’s simply oil and vinegar. They could add some garlic to it or something. My pizza was also slightly soggy in the center. It was the veggie pizza. Otherwise, the tomato soup was killer yummy! I will go back. The staff were super friendly and were 5 stars on just being nice.

If you are in Winchester Va and want a really good pizza, this is the place to go! When it comes to the chains, my wife and I like Pizza Hut and this place puts them to shame. Pizza here taste like what good authenic pizza should taste like. The sauce is excellent and you can taste the fresh herbs in it. Have’nt tried anything else, we always get the pizza. They run a special where you can get a large, 3 topping pie for $ 9.99 and thats a great deal. Theres other pizza places in Winchester, but try Metro first, you won’t be disappointed.
