The chocolates are good, but it’s very pricey. I might consider going for special occasions.

The sea salt caramel turtles here are AWESOME. And they sell the best small batch locally made salsa and gluten free chips! Just ask for Texas Trey’s Barnburner Salsa and tortilla chips.

Winchester is very fortunate to have a chocolatier of its own. The owner is a true artisan with a flair for creating unique flavor combinations in her chocolates. The prices are on par with any gourmet chocolate shop. The selection of sugar-free chocolates is quite impressive, for those who need to restrict their sugar intake. It is fun to give a box of these fine chocolates as a gift and see the recipient’s face light up!

Absolutely superb. Customer Service and the chocolate. I would make it a point to give this store my business on the basis of the wonderful folks or the hands down best chocolate i have ever had. Finding both at one location is rare, but it is here. It is so worth stopping by.

So much fun and happiness in this shop. I was on a wine tour for my best friends and my birthday. We stopped by here after being recommended at Mt. Defiance Cider Distillery. So worth the walk. The street was quaint and lovely, even in the light rainy sprinkles. The people running the counter were lively and fun. I chose to get the 15 piece box and she helped me fill it up with a good variety. Even gave me a taster. She also added a couple extra chocolates. The gentlemen poured a taster of the Chocolate Shop wine. This isn’t chocolate wine that you find is brown and gross. This is wine that compliments and has a chocolate finish to it and it was delicious. I am looking forward to a wine, chocolate, and cheese night in my future. One of the highlights of my day. Thank you!

Best chocolatier in NOVA. I have been a loyal customer since I moved to VA in 2005. The owners make their chocolate on location. Their confections are super fresh. The are always making something new. They sell this amazing locally made peanut butter. Their honeycomb molasses chocolates, sea salt caramels, and malt balls are to die for. They also sell unique items like chocolate covered potato chips, chocolate bacon bark, etc.

Reasonable prices. My favorite piece was one from the artisan collection that was filled with peach champagne flavors. Their coconut/chocolate/caramel creation called Heaven. is just that.

The manager was NASTY! Even when we made it clear that we were visitors she continued her attitude. We walked out in disgust. I’m gladly taking my business elsewhere.

We love the turtles… dark and milk with sea salt! The selection is great and the service is always friendly! Not gluten free for my son, but the rest of us love it! My other son also likes the caramel covered marshmallows. The Chocolate Bar next door has outstanding desserts! We have tried most of them and love them all. The cheesecake and molten cake were especially good. Actually had dinner once but really prefer to go there just for desert! I think they had a mousse that was gluten free.

I went here for an afterlunch treat thinking it would be bland chocolates on the level of Godiva or Whitman’s at best. It took a long time to choose from the assortments and special delights. I finally made my pick after my bf patiently waited and the Miss behind the counter was helpful and never pushy the entire time. She even described the eatery connected next door being lite affair(daily menus– soups, sandwiches and the like) which I will look forward to visiting in the near future. My chocolates were packaged in nice cellophane wraps and white boxes. I took a bite of the dark chocolate almond brittle, dark chocolate bacon bark, and dark chocolate covered almonds. I was really surprised and bewildered. I didn’t expect chocolate to taste better than Lindt or Godiva. I paid the price to contribute to the local business and realize such a skill takes time and money for the finest product. This was absolutely amazing. I don’t know how to describe it, just that it is addicting and delightful. Well worth the stop, price, and time to enjoy the finer things in life right in our backyard. This is an internationally known business and hidden in the armpit of Virginia.

Godiva prices, but some darn good chocolates. Dare I say, the buttercreams are the best that I have ever had. The truffles are quite beautiful as well. They also have bacon bar, a dark chocolate bark with bacon and chipotle pepper. I was tempted to try, but decided to save that experience for next time. The staff is very friendly and the shop is attached to a chocolate restaurant/wine bar. I must say, that is super cool. The chocolates are oh-so-very Godiva-esque, so they are certainly worth the trip. The cinnamon buttercreams were lovely.

My wife and I stopped here on the way to a weekend getaway and were greeted with a very helpful woman behind the counter. We purchased a small box of truffles which I were excellent, although slightly harder to bite into than some other mass-produced brands. The prices are higher, but it feels like shopping at a small town corner store run by old friends long before the onset of international conglomerates. Next time we are passing through we will visit again.

This place has the most AMAZING customer service. My boyfriend is from Winchester and I emailed here, asking for them to deliver some bacon bark to him for his birthday. Anne was so accomodating and nice and actually drove the chocolates out to his house since I live in Texas. HIGHLYRECOMMEND.

My wife and I stopped here because she was craving some chocolate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they explained how the chocolates were made and offered a few recommendations to my wife. The chocolate is amazing, some of the best I have ever had, though expensive it is well worth if for special occasions!

Expensive. Really expensive. Hence the three stars. The dark chocolate caramels with sea salt are seriously amazing though. Those *might* be worth the price. Will go back only for a special occasion.
