This place gets three stars because it’s, basically, the only game in town. The regular rooms are tiny. TINY. I was traveling with my mother and one-year-old daughter and needed space to set up a portable crib. The first room was impossible, but after some very snide comments, the guy from the front desk gave us a bigger room that worked very nicely. That being said, the biggest negative to this place was the front-desk guy. I’m assuming he’s the owner, because he’s the only person we ever saw. He was so rude. Every exchange with him was unpleasant. The other problem we ran into was the water — the first morning, I was competing with another room for hot water and someone somewhere flushed a toilet while I was showering and my water went bye-bye. The second morning, the water alternated between scalding and freezing, seemingly at random. Not a fun way to start off the day. On the positive side, it was clean so I had no qualms about letting my daughter explore the room. They also have wi-fi(yay). There isn’t a whole lot in Wind Gap, so it’s location is pretty unimportant, in my opinion. To be honest, I would probably stay there again if I had to travel to Wind Gap again, but I would not look forward to it. At all.
