Beck Brothers Citrus is conveniently located in the heart of Windermere, and it’s clearly a local favorite – when I went this Saturday, there were a lot of cars in the sprawling parking lot. Despite how many people were there, it didn’t feel crowded at all – there were multiple different areas to pick, so everyone was able to spread themselves out easily. There were a good mix of families, friends, and couples – berry picking is fun no matter who you come with! When I came, there were three different varieties of blueberries – you could tell which variety you were getting by the color of the flag at the end of the row. There was a clear favorite, as the rows of a certain color were really overpicked, but we were able to go to another and fill our buckets in less than one row. Their pricing can’t be beat – $ 15 for a full bucket, or about 6 pounds, $ 10 for half a bucket, or $ 3 for a pint. Compared to other berry picking locations in the area, $ 15 for a bucket is outstanding. And when you think what you get for that $ 15 – a fun morning or afternoon, along with enough blueberries for eating and cooking, there’s no doubt that Beck Brothers Citrus is an awesome way to spend a morning!

I had been wanting to pick blueberries since last season; but I missed out :-(…Buttttt this year I was able to go… WHOOOWHOOO!!! My son and I went. I was sooo excited because blueberries is one of my favorite fruits and it was my first time picking blueberries. It’s located in Windermere. We arrived late morning on a Saturday; the day before Mother’s Day. We weren’t able to park on the property because it was full; so we had to park across the street and walk from there, which wasn’t a bad exercise. I thought because we parked across the street that it would be slim pickings. However, to my surprise, there’s plenty to go around. There are soooo many rows and plenty room for everyone. My son and I had such a nice time. It was very relaxing and the perfect day to pick blueberries. We were told the key to it, is when you arrive go all the way to the end where no one has really picked and go for it. My son and I ended up picking two bucket fulls of delicious, juicy, sweet, plump blueberries. The people that worked there on that Saturday were great! I can’t wait to go back. If you haven’t been, try it. Thanks Beck Brothers! See you next season! By the way, its cash only; so go with cash in hand. It was $ 15 per bucket. I thought that was a good price considering when you go to the grocery store you only get a small amount for $ 5 — $ 6 depending where you shop. They bag them up for you there. So when I got home I put them in zip loc bags and in the freezer and they will keep for 6 months.

Bright and early on a Saturday morning family’s gathered at Beck Brothers Citrus eager to fill their buckets with sweet blueberries. It’s $ 15 to fill the bucket to the brim, $ 10 halfway and $ 3 for a small pint. In this case I definitely think a bucket is the way to go! The family was very friendly and there was definitely space to roam for your pickings despite the crowds early morning. As usual beware of the hot Florida sun beating down on you as you casually stroll through the fields and know that pets aren’t allowed! Perfect place for family bonding time and the blueberries are delicious! The half bucket gave me enough to make a blueberry pie and to have some extra for snacking. Will definitely love to come again, it’s fun and memorable!

We had a very great experience today at Becks. My significant other and I drove 40+ minutes to pick some blueberries and we were not disappointed. Tiffany was so knowledgeable and told us where the best spot to pick was. She let us know the different types of blueberries that were available and even gave us a great suggestion for lunch. Seasons not over and we will definitely go back once we finish our first two buckets of blueberries. Thanks for a great time.

Love this place! You can’t beat the price, quality or fun of picking your own blueberries. We went in mid April and it was warm and took longer to fill the bucket than I thought but we had a blast :) Can’t wait until next year :)

First time blueberry picking and it was so much fun! When you arrive you’re given a big bucket and sent on your way. Pick as much or as little as you want, just have fun! There are rows and rows and rows of blueberry bushes so it’s not crowded and there is plenty to pick from. Pick a row and go down to the very end to start. Everyone seems to start at the beginning of the rows and don’t make it to the ends; therefore you’ll strike blueberry gold at the ends. There’s no shade in the field so bring a hat and sunscreen. They have bottles of water for purchase or you can bring your own. Thenkfully I didn’t see any snakes; just a few spiders on webs built into the bushes and lovebugs. There are no actual restrooms as the field is on the property of the family’s home, but there were a couple portable potties. Once done, you pay for what you picked. I can’t remember exactly but the prices were something like 3lbs for $ 5, 5lbs for $ 10, and a full bucket for $ 15(see my pics for bucket size). This is a great way to spend a few hours alone or as a family outing. Check out their facebook page for updated details, but currently it says they will be open everyday from 9 – 5 until mid May.

this is myself first time here. My sister in law told me about this place. I usually go to the one in Oviedo but gave this one a chance cuz it is closer to home. We has lots of fun. There are many varieties of blueberries here. They are very good. My children had a great time. I think the season is coming to an end as there wasn’t that many out there today or just that too many ppl have been picking them. It took us over two hours to filled a bucket(not even full). The weather was just too hot n the kids was complaining too much so we left. the price are good. $ 15 for a bucket is really good. They charged 3.50 a pound in Oviedo. Next year I will go at the beginning of the season. Will definitely be back:)

This place is a must if you love picking your own fruit. Right now they have a great selection of blueberries for the picking’. It’s a great location… right in Windermere. I’ve driven to Eustis before to pick blueberries and it’s a bit of a drive. Since I work close by(12 minutes to be exact) I decided to pick them and then drive to work. Here’s what you need to know: 1. Wear sunscreen and bring water! It’s starting to heat up here in Orlando and the sun is stronger. I got pink just picking 1 bucket…45 minutes. 2. Bring cash. It’s $ 15 per bucket. Which is cheap, since I had a friend go to Yalaha, FL and pay $ 30 for the same amount of blueberries… she did have a lot of fun though. I weighted my bucket when I got to work and I netted 6 pounds of blueberries. I could have filled my bucket up more(you can fill it up as much as you can) and it still would have been $ 15. 3. Love bugs… yuck…it’s that time of year and they were everywhere while I was picking blueberries. 4. They are open 7 days a week 9 – 5. I suggest going on during the week in the morning… it’s less crowded and not as hot! 5. Lastly, look for the bushes with the blue ribbons. I had a friend tell me a super great spot and boy was he right on the money. The blueberries were big and flavorful! The secret spot is just past the wooden shed on the left. You have to walk around a mucky, truck driven thru area but it’s worth it! Also taste a few blueberries along the way to make sure you are getting the cream of the crop! Happy Picking!

Awesome place to go berry picking! My wife, son and I all went last Saturday and we’re chomping at the bit(some of us more literally than others) to go back. Picked a huge bucket(maybe 1 gallon, ~6−7 lbs) for $ 15. Took us about an hour between 2 adults with a 8 month distracting us :-) There are quite a few varieties of berries here. When we went we overheard someone talking about 3 types of blueberries and they were color coded by the colored ties at the ends of the rows. Sure enough, we tasted the different bushes and could taste the difference so we switched and picked 90% from one variety. The next day a friend told us they indeed had 11 varieties. Don’t know how many they have as we only walked a quarter of the land, but there are different types. Try them out and pick your favorites! If you’re worried or care about such things, these are not organic, but they say on their facebook site they don’t spray the plants after the berries start growing. I guess that’s good as I ate quite a few while picking!

Had a blast picking blueberries here with my husband and son. There are many different kinds, wish we knew that before we started picking! But had fun, looked up new recipes using blueberries. 6lbs goes faster than you think! We’re going to try to go again before they run out

Opens April to mid May, Beck Brothers Blueberries U-Pick is a wonderful place for fresh, plump and sweet blueberries. Walked in, grabbed a bucket and began our picking adventures! Had a great time bonding with my family as we filled our buckets and bellies. Came home with 2 buckets full of delicious blueberries! $ 15 for a 6lb bucket is such a great deal!

What a fun way to spend a few hours! Beck Brothers is located just up the street from where I live, and I’ve been trying to make it out for the past few years for the Blueberry U-Pick. As a Disney Cast Member who never had a weekend off, I never had the opportunity, but this year they are open 7 days a week from 9 – 5 from mid April –mid May. We parked in the lot, picked up a bucket, and went to town! The area closest to the lot seemed picked dry, but another picker gave us a tip to head to the far back corner, and we hit the jackpot! Thousands of the largest, plumpest, bluest berries I’ve ever seen! Initially we planned on filling our buckets halfway and combining them($ 15 for 1 bucket), but before we knew it our buckets were overflowing! Now we’re basking in blueberry goodness — but I’m not complaining! These berries are so juicy and sweet, terrific for baking, cooking, eating plain, and they’re freezable too! I hope to visit at least once more before the season is over!
