I have been trying new markets while the fiasco with Market Basket shakes out.
This Shaw’s is head and shoulders above of the Shaw’s in Salem, NH. The place is clean, good selection and the staff is pleasant. No lines stretching down the aisles with grumpy customers complaining about the wait. The produce was noticeably better at this Shaw’s too.
The prices are more than Market Basket but this will be my new market for now.
Good job Shaw’s of Windham!

Compared with other Shaw’s I know, this one is not well stocked. For example: it has only half of sauces others have. They also suddenly discontinued carrying one of my favorite ice cream brands, which can b found anywhere else and they replaced various brands of other products with their own inferior brand. Young staff there is indifferent and pays no attention at checkout communication either, talking with coleagues instead. The older ones at deli are nicer and polite. Shelves are not filled on time and look messy Veggies and fruit are often not fresh and overripe. Bread availability and staffing at bread counter is very irreguar. The other day an employee told me I may have to wait days fr baguettes to be available again. Same with liverwurst, while it turned out to be untrue. Also, if bread is not ready, so baked off, they will sell the same bread to you without any discount for lack of being finshed. It is never busy there, which is no surprise.
