Easy to find location at liberty and rolling road, fair pricing and good bbq. I had minced pork, greens and baked beans. The pork was great! Seasoned well, tender and just plain olé’ good. Baked beans were tasty as well. I thought the greens were under-seasoned but after the addition of salt, pepper and a little hot sauce they were decent. I’ll be back to this place.

Got the pit beef and minced BBQ pork sandwiches. Both were very good, but I would give the edge to the pit beef. 16 bean soup good, although did not see 16 different beans. Only disappointment was the potato salad. Tastes like it came straight from the grocery store deli section.

Cant beat location on the weekends you see this coming and going up liberty road. And the ppl manning this truck are always helpful and nice. Because it’s the only bar b que place where you know it definitely came off a grill it has a one up on other places that sell similar fare. That being said their chicken in well seasoned in juicy. The pulled pork was nice as well The ribs have never been super tender when i ordered but my boyfriend loves them. I think they could do a mote flavorful dry rub but hey opinions man. The sides im pretty sure are store bought. The potato salad tasted like it came from the Shoppers supermarket which would make sense because since this truck sits in their parking lot. And the bar b que sauce isnt thick enough for my liking. Definitely not bad food i enjoy their offerings its just not slap yo mama bar b que

Great taste… a bit on the expensive side! …But I’ve never tasted smoke meat that good in my life!!! It will be a go to when I want to splurge on myself.

The ribs are fantastic. The smell of BBQ and smoke can be seen from down the street, it basically coaxes you in to the parking lot!

I’ve been coming here for a while and I’ve watched them evolve. They are only open on Saturday and Sunday(weather permitting), but every blue moon they will open on a Friday. I usually get ribs or pulled pork, but today I added chicken to that. I am a HUGE fan of their ribs, baby back ribs, and pulled pork! You have to get there early because they always run out of ribs. They say the potato salad is homemade but it truly taste store brought… but people still buy it. I brought it one time but after tasting how under-cooked the potatoes were, I think the store brand taste better, so I haven’t gotten it again. A small potato salad is $ 3.50. They use Ken’s barbecue sauce but water it down by adding vinegar, sugar and add red pepper flakes to it(at least that’s how it taste). They charge 25¢ for extra sauce on the side. They are stingy with the sauce which I don’t understand why since it’s watered down and they are tripling the amount from the original bottle. The staff is usually friendly unless you ask for extra sauce… LOL. Today they were giving out samples of their new 16 bean soup… but I passed because you know what they say about beans!!! They also had minced chicken today and peach or apple cobbler… I don’t remember. In my professional culinary opinion I do think it is a bit pricey, but if I keep buying I guess I should not be complaining. All in all if you want some good backyard barbeque this is the place to go.

My first time here. Sunday August 3,2014. They had sold out of baby back ribs and potato salad. I ordered a half rack of St. Louis style ribs. Does that mean tasteless and half cooked? There was no smokey taste. Nothing. Brought them home, added seasoning and my own BBQ sauce and cooked them in the oven for an hour. I wanted to like this food. I had heard some good things and the owners are fine folks.

Go! This barbecue stands up to any local barbecue around the area(Andy Nelson’s, Mission BBQ, Dickeys). The BBQ pork is perfectly smoked, juicy and delicious. I also tried the St. Louis ribs and potato salad. Awesome! I think the barbecue sauce they use is vinager-based but it has a unique almost«jerk chicken» flavor and a touch of heat(but not too much). Also, the owner Bo and his wife Wendy and staff are super nice hard-working people. Can’t recommend this place enough!

They’ve got a new truck/trailer, it’s black and shiny! It goes to show that hard work, good service and yummy food pays off. It’s bigger and better than the original. They were packed on a Saturday afternoon with at least 8 to 10 people standing in line to place an order and another 6 people waiting for their food. Those are all good signals for some decent eating. Even better was the girls’ sport team selling baked goods and collecting change/money for their field trips and what not(1 time event). I had to splurge on a 50 cent upside down lemony cake thingy. It was durrrrn good for my mini dessert after my enormous and addicting smoked turkey leg. I could hear two customers asking people if they’d ever been to Up In Smoke before and how was the food? Everyone said the food was pretty good and they frequent the truck whenever available. Some suggestions I heard being thrown around were the ribs, turkey legs, bbq sandwich, bbq chicken and beans, but of course everyone was ordering everything. The food was being picked off the grill and served fresh, how much better can you get? The prices I spotted are as follows: Chicken leg quarter $ 4.75, Pit beef ham turkey $ 6.50, smoked turkey leg $ 7.75, half chicken $ 8.50, whole chicken $ 11.50, half slab ribs $ 15.50, whole slab ribs $ 23.00, beef turkey Italian sausage $ 4.75, potato salad and beans $ 3.50…This isn’t everything on their mini menu but it is the main items. These prices should rock your world considering you didn’t have to do any back breaking. Remember look for the billowing smoke not a big sign!
