Canal Street Gallery is a beaders’ treasure trove in the little town of Winona Lake. Located in the shops of the village, it’s beautiful and quaint. I love the fact that all of the jewelry is customized to my preferences and the new owner, Lauren, has gone out of her way to help me create some fabulous thank-you gifts for clients and friends. Affordable and yet unique, I love buying gifts for all of my girlfriends there! I haven’t taken any of the classes there yet but I intend to!

UPDATE — They were back to a full-service bead shop as of November 2014. Really glad I hit the «Going out of business — Not really» sale. Upgraded the prices to Moderate.

I come up here regularly to visit in-laws. I really wish I’d known this place was a bead shop. I only ever looked at the name and based on that, thought it was an art gallery.
At any rate, it is at the time of this writing, in the throes of a retirement sale and there are all sorts of beads and beading supplies and jewellery going at ridiculous prices. And — mirabile dictu — the owner is selling off much of her fabric stock at prices that actually made me feel a little weak at the knees.
Get over there while it is still there and be glad I decided to be fiscally prudent while I was in there.
