This Rite Aid has the most well maintained 70’s décor I’ve ever seen. I think they may have filmed part of the Electric Company there, or at least been an inspiration of color. Otherwise, standard Rite Aid fare, nothing really stands out but faster to get in and out of instead of Stop and Shop next door. Much better parking situation too! The employees were nice — they upgraded my card today without any muss or fuss.

Turns out that Rite Aid has a really annoying policy that even 12-month prescriptions with refills«expire» after 6 months, meaning that you go to get your refill, and you… can’t. Rather, you have to pester your busy doctor to send a «give my patient their damn pills already» fax.(They probably think they’re preventing drug abuse or something. Go ahead and try to get high on levonorgestrel. Dare ya.) Even CVS gives you the full 12 months on 12-month prescriptions. However, that’s not incentive enough for me to deal with the dingdongs at the CVS pharmacy in Winsted. So instead I suffer the inconvenience of wasted trips and medication delays, and my doctor suffers having Rite Aid and/or me bug the bejesus out of him. O well.
