Sedgefield Apartments

These apartments have so many issues, it’s hard to write a good review. I’ve never had to put in so many requests for things to be repaired and having to put in repeat requests for your AC to be repaired in July/​August in North Carolina is very frustrating and concerning when you come home to find your apartment is 85 degrees and you have dogs inside. Everything leaks, the carpet is disgusting and there is no insulation so it’s either freezing or ridiculously HOT and the most energy inefficient place I’ve ever lived. We had to provide paperwork for our service dog two times (which is against all ADA rules/​guidelines) and even after continued to get complaint after complaint, as the neighbors are the most pet unfriendly people I’ve ever encountered. It’s annoying getting so many phone calls and emails with complaints from neighbors when you just try to mind your own business. We weren’t the people leaving our dogs outside on our porch or letting them poop all over the place without picking up after them but I swear the neighbors sit looking out their windows just to call and complain about everyone. **OF NOTE, the mailman is the worst mailman I’ve ever had. He would leave all of the mailboxes open so your mail was NOT secure and our packages were NEVER delivered to the right door and we would have to walk around and find them ourselves – we called and complained to the post office and the apartment office but no one ever did anything about it! VERY FRUSTRATING!!! Don’t live here during Christmas season when you are trying to get packages delivered bc you don’t know if they will actually arrive and you have some sketchy neighbors…** The only good thing about these apartments were that they were cheap. I would never recommend to live in these apartments because they are literally falling apart and neighbors are very unfriendly. We are very happy to have moved out of these apartments!

There are a lot of issues at Sedgefield, but my main issue is the severe bias against pet owners. I don’t know if the office staff just aren’t animal people or what, but don’t be fooled into thinking their policy of allowing pets means that your pet is actually welcome.

It is a nice place but my apartment was consantly plagued with broken pipes an water damage. Then when my apartment burned down they were not at all understanding. Especially since the issue was actually their fault. On top of all that when another apartment complex call for a reference they gave us a aweful review saying we were evicted. Since our apartment caught on fire an was unliveable anylonger thats odviously not the case. They also told them that we never cleaned up after our dog. At that time I didnt even have a dog. I had a lizard. Now the people who were visiting us at the time did. But they had only been there a day or so.
The place is very nice they have a small but decent pool. An a nice little workout room. An they are very nice when you are living there. But god forbid you should ever leave. They clearly hold it against you.

I love love love these apartments! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Maintenance is attentive. The grounds are beautiful. the residents are clean, quiet and friendly. Great amenities and awesome location!
