Went to lunch here and had the pleasure of trying the lunch menu for the first time. First up was the crab cakes, which were so good! Hardly any breading was used. I also had a glass of sangria which was good, but maybe could have been a little stronger. For a 10 dollar drink I should. E able to taste some alcohol. For our main dish, we had the bang bang shrimp tacos. Very good and filling. It came with 3 tacos and I couldn’t finish the whole dish. My hubby ended up eating the last taco. We finished the meal with a brownie. Be sure to join their email list. I received a coupon for a free dessert for my birthday.

Well, it’s not like me at all to write reviews but I couldnt go without writing about tonight’s experience so here we go. To start with I’d like to say that I’ve been in the industry for a little over 10 years now and 4 of them I’ve been at a great restaurant off of the Avenue in Winter Park. It’s been a little while since we’ve been to this location but we used to come all the time. Recently we’ve been told by family and friends that the quality of the restaurant has gone down as far as wait time and front of the house when you first come in. Despite that we decided to dine in anyways. I made reservations ahead of time knowing that the wait can be quite long on the weekends. This evening I was completely appalled what i wstched and by the choice of the manager, James. We arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before our 7:15 reservation. We were given a buzzer and told they were waiting for a few tables to leave. Right away I was worried about the frustration of quiet a few of the guests, there were numerous people complaining about the wait time and walking out without dining. We sat in the waiting area next to the host stand. While there we continued to hear the complaints. Trying to be hopeful we continue to happily wait. Our reservation time had passed and we waited still with no complaint. Being in the industry I understand that tables may stay longer than anticipated and busy nights make get a little out of hand. After waiting a bit longer I approached and ask the host about how far behind on the reservations they were. I was told I would be seated in about 10 minutes. In the meantime, I had watched a couple come in after us and wait about 5 to 10 minutes. Then they decided to go up to the hostess stand and complain about their wait, instead of waiting patiently like us and others. They were told by the host that the reservations were being sat first and the tables were not turning as fast as anticipated. After hearing that they, didn’t decided to complain that they had called in earlier and were told they could not be make a reservation till after 8 p.m. Then after talking to James they were told they would be given a free appetizer. They we’re seated promptly at a table that could accommodate 4 people instead of just 2, while we continue to wait. After watching all of this happened right in front of me I was very upset. I then brought up the situation that I witness to the hostess who gave her apologies and said our table was being cleaned. I then asked to talk to a manager and was directed to Tanya. Tanya was absolutely awesome. She did everything she could to accommodate us. She was very apologetic and said that this was not their policy. When she ask the hostess about what had happened, she was told that James the manager said to seat the table right away. I’m grateful that the hostess was honest but I still can’t believe James, as the manager, made that decision and how is he still a manager? Tanya told us that she would have our table cleaned very quickly and she actually went over and helped out and did it herself. We were then seated. Tayna came over promptly and told us who our server would be. She must have noticed that our server wouldn’t get to us very quickly being that he was taking the order of a la0rge party, which as a server understand and i apprecate that she took care of us. She came over and took our drink order and started our appetizer that she informed us would be taken care of. Our server was great and managed his tables well. The kitchen is wonderful as well, everything came delicious and very quick for how busy they were. The experience was horrible at first due to a bad management decision but between the kitchen, the server, and Tanya the experience turned out well in the end. We love going to Bonefish. Great servers and kitchen, first time we’ve had a bad experience. Althought this is one of the worst decision I’ve seen by restaurant management. I feel very mistreated and don’t expect to return and stay with this type of management. Management should not to appease couple with unrealistic expectations over a family waiting patiently with 2 children. James never came to our table to apologize for his decision. He did check in multiple rimes with the couple that he had sat promptly(with no reservation while others were there first and waitly patienly instead of complaining about waiting to get in) It’s only right that everyone stay in order of reservation/arrival, or should i just pitch a fit a soon as a walk in next time to get seated promptly. From what I witnessed tonight, it works

I reserved a table for 5:15pm and we got here right on but table wasn’t even ready. They are moving the chairs and tables without lifting so it makes that enjoying noise as well. It took them another 10 mins to set the table. Way to ruin the bonefish name. One word for all. TERRIBLE!.. PS: THISISNOT A REVIEWFORTHESERVERWEHADWHOSENAMEISRICHARD. HEWASGREAT. THANKSTORICHARD.

Bonefish is one of my favorite places to eat and go all the time. This was my first time at this location & I have to be honest and say that the food was not so great. I ordered the crab crusted pompano special. The portion was a lot smaller then I expected & the fish was overcooked and because of that I only was able to eat half of it. My boyfriend ordered the mac & cheese that was way to cheesy & creamy. I personally like a nice balance when it comes to my meals. The reason I am giving this 3 stars is because of the service. Richard was absolutely amazing to us. I’m very picky when it comes to going out and I notice everything from beginning to end. He gets a 100% score. Because of him, I will give this location another try & hope there is a better cook in the kitchen.

My husband ordered an unsweet tea. The restaurant was out of Splenda. Not a big deal, but when that’s all you use, kind of disappointing. How does a restaurant run out of Splenda? I ordered the Pad Thai Shrimp bowl. I love Pad Thai and have had it at several different restaurants but have never had it at Bonefish, so I thought I would give it a try. The dish was super spicy hot and had a very strong orange-like flavor and no peanut flavor. The shrimp were also very fishy. I told our waiter and with no problem he asked if I would like something else. i ordered the Tuesday special, the lobster tail. My husband was done with his meal for quite some time before my lobster came out. There were about 8 empty tables at this point, and no one waiting to be seated, so it’s not as if they were super busy. I waited a very long time for my meal and when the lobster tail came out it was chewy and did not have a good flavor. I ate it anyway because at this point I was hungry and just wanted to eat. I was also surprised that it did not come out with drawn butter. After a while the waiter came out with what he called drawn butter. What he brought out was melted butter, not drawn butter. The chef should know the difference. The only up side is that the mashed potatoes and broccoli were delicious as usual. My husband ordered the mussels as his meal since it is one of his absolute favorites on the menu. He also ordered a Caesar salad. The salad did not have any parmesan cheese on it. We had to ask for it. The mussels were undercooked. He did not say anything to the waiter because he never wants to cause a problem. He should have spoken up. He ate it like that, because he was hungry, not enjoying it at all. He should not have eaten shell fish that was undercooked but like I said, he did not want to cause any problems. I usually dip lots of bread into his sauce from the mussels because it is so delicious it’s ridiculous. I dipped my bread into it and it did not taste like the same dish. Something was missing and it was definitely not the same as we have had for years now. No dipping for me. Very, very disappointing. My husband ordered coffee as I waited for my dessert to come out. He was done with his coffee before my dessert came out. It took as long to get the dessert as it did to get the lobster. When my dessert came out my husband asked for another coffee so that he could drink that while i ate my dessert. The coffee never came. I was done with my dessert then the waiter said the coffee was brewing and he would bring it out in a few minutes. At that point we were done and ready to leave so my husband said never mind to the second cup of coffee. Someone came over to us, I’m assuming it was one of the managers, but I’m not sure because she did not introduce herself. She asked me if the lobster was better than the Pad Thai Shrimp. I shared with her everything that I explained above, including the issue with my husbands meal. She looked puzzled, did not say anything about my lobster but did say that my husband was the third guest to say that about the mussels and then walked away. When we got the bill, the waiter explained that they only charged us for the Mussels, Salad and the tea. They took off the Lobster special. I had asked for my house salad to go when I ordered so that I would have room for the dessert that came with the special. When I got home I went to put the house salad in the refrigerator and I noticed that there were no pine nuts on it at all. Again, disappointing. That’s one of my favorite things about Bonefish’s house salad. Let me explain how much we have been a huge fan of Bonefish. My husband travels the country for business. He seeks out Bonefish grills for dinner every time he travels because our experience for years has been top notch food and top notch service. This was our«go to» restaurant. We choose Bonefish because although it is a chain, it never felt like a chain. We also choose Bonefish when we’ve had a long day and want to relax; because we know the food and service will be outstanding. We choose Bonefish for our birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions because in the past we’ve gone to other restaurants for these occasions and always say, «We should have gone to Bonefish.» So, Bonefish was THE restaurant of choice for many many years, locally and across the nation. Something has changed with this Winter Garden location. Throughout or time there last night we had two waitresses bring food to our table that was not ours and witnessed another waitress bring food to a table that wasn’t theirs. There is something seriously systematically wrong throughout. I am not telling you this to get anything free from you. I am telling you this from a business standpoint so that you can get in there and figure out what is going on and fix the problem(s). Sadly, we will not be going back to the Winter Garden Bonefish anymore.

Service was great, waitress was on top of everything and our bang bang shrimp, brownie sundae, doughnuts, sangria and martinis were delicious! The manager even came by to see how things were and promote brunch I never knew they had. Excellent!

Ok this place hit or miss. More like a miss. For the price and lack of talent in the kitchen the food was a big miss. We wait and wait for apps. Bang bang was good. But our other shrimp app was in so much sauce I thought it was soup. Entrée still waiting. My fish toco was dry and flavored did not come together it was like a mix of what was laying around. Crab cake was the size of an app not entrée we walked away disappointed. There version of grill chicken teriyaki was a fail attempt to food. The service the food the flavor was compare to fast food. The price was compare to 3 star restaurant. Too bad too sad. Never go back again.

We had the bang bang shrimp appetizer and it was great as usual. The lobster was wonderful and reasonably priced. The spaghetti squash was very good. My dinner mate had the shrimp and scallops which were grilled and very favorable. I thought the garlic mashed potatoes had a little too much garlic in them, but my dinner mate thought they were perfect. We couldn’t make reservations because we didn’t do it soon enough, but we walked right in and didn’t have to wait for a table for two.

Ask for Reggie. After meeting him one time, he remembered everything that we like. Now that’s a 5* service. Even my 14 yrs old son likes him too. Will coming back more often now that we met Reggie.

UPDATE: I returned and I was pleasantly surprised; this location does have the ability to dish out a perfect meal. My gf and I stopped by for lunch today and we enjoyed every part of the meal. We started off with the extremely tasty Bang Bang Shrimp; I honestly wish they had an AYCE option for them. My gf chose the Shrimp Pad Thai, while I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy… I can’t get enough of them. The Pad Thai was very tasty; the sauce was great and there was definitely a good amount of shrimp, we didn’t feel shortchanged at all. The Po Boy was absolutely perfect. The bread was crusty(not too crusty to make it difficult to chew), the Bang Bang Shrimp were obviously perfect, and the cucumbers added the perfect bit of tang to cut through the creamy sauce. It really is a great sandwich. Thankfully the level of service matched the level of food today. Karina was our waitress and she did a perfect job: several perfectly-timed beverage refills, friendly smile and a great attitude. I’m glad I returned.

This restaurant is near Orlando so when we visit our daughter there, we always go to a nice place for dinner on Saturday night. This place always comes up because we always enjoy the meal. We went there this time because its almost an automatic that we will really have a great time. Well this night was no exception. It is one of the most accommodating places I have been to and believe me I have been to places all over the world. The four of us ordered the Sangria stuffed with fruit. It was so good we ordered another round during the meal. I had scallops and shrimp grilled to perfection but before I go there I want to say I had a dozen oysters. So fresh and tasty. My son in law had a plate of mussels which he couldn’t stop eating. Needless to say we shared. He ordered the shrimp and scallops like me. our daughter ordered the tuna, which by the way is her extreme favorite here. My wife really isn’t into scallops so she ordered just the shrimp.(I tell you these things because as I write this I picture the dinner and enjoy it again). We ended the dinner with a Crème Bu lay(I hope i spelled that right) I can’t finish this report without noting our waitress’s name. She is Tanya. A remarkable waitress with such a professional way to make you feel like she was a part of the family and we were eating at her house. If you are ever in that area, «this is the place you want to take your family»

I was disappointed about the food it didn’t taste good the fish was old. The soup was too creamy the fish tacos were disgusting. I won’t recommend this as seafood restaurant plus price is too high for cheap quality food.

I took my wife and mother there this Saturday evening for Mothers Day Dinner. We made a reservation which I do recommend since this place is always busy busy busy. They took us to our table within a couple of minutes of checking in. The hostesses were very friendly and attentive. Our server Avery came to the table shortly after being seated. She was very friendly and when I told her we weren’t in a hurry so please don’t try and rush us out to flip the table she said she would rather let us take our time and enjoy ourselves and that it wouldn’t be a problem. We had a drink and appetizers to start with. Bang Bang shrimp and the Ahi were awesome. The fresh warm bread was also very tasty. Avery came back after letting us start eating the apps to get our dinner order. My wife had the Stuffed Sea Bass, Mom had the Stuffed Tilapia and I had the Filet Mignon with a Lobster Tail. All 3 entrees were cooked to perfection and had awesome flavor that made it melt in your mouth. I know this because we all tasted each others food to confirm… Overall we had an epic dinner. Avery was great. She didn’t rush or bother us but was there when we needed her. The food was a bit pricey but not really if you look at what you get on your plate and the quality of it. We had a great dinner and will definite go back again. We will also ask for Avery when we do return because she«gets it». I highly recommend Bonefish!

Finally decided to visit this place: after lunch but before dinner. It was NOT busy and I was surprised at how relatively small it was inside. O m g the service after receiving our appetizer was SOSLOW!!! I was scared the server wasn’t going to come back for another 10 minutes when she left. We wanted some more sauce but completed our meal by the time the server returned. We enjoyed our food though, but visiting your table in a timely manner is pretty important. The bang bang shrimp is good but it’s not everything.

Bang Bang shrimp is one of those items you can’t find as good anywhere else. There is just nothing like it, which is probably why you can get bang bang shrimp also in tacos or even on your eggs Benedict for Sunday brunch. They send me emails to buy 3 orders to-go for $ 19 sometimes because these little shrimps are amazing. Everything else though you can find better if you don’t mind driving a little bit. Right now my favorite is the tuna bowl. It is like deconstructed tuna sushi. Make a reservation online to avoid the wait which can be brutal.

Always come here when visiting Orlando. Food is really good(would actually give the food 4 stars), but the service needs to be improved. Every time I visit the place, there’s always an issue with the food taking long to come out. You shouldn’t have to wait 20 – 30 mins for a main course to come after an appetizer. Their kitchen is just consistently slow in getting out orders. If you don’t believe me, time them yourself. I really do hope they look into it because they do serve good food. Solid choices in my opinion would be the Bang Bang Shrimp, and Corn Chowder.

It was dinner and a show at this place. We had Adam who made our whole visit. He was so entertaining we almost forgot we were there to eat. We enjoyed him so much that I asked him to come live with me and my family. He kindly turned me down but thanked me for the invitation. The food was delish. Bang bang shrimp is a must. I had a special called shrimp and scallop firepot. It was a Cajun inspired dish over vegetables and potatoes. The ambience in there is calming and romantic. Overall, an excellent experience.

A few weeks ago Chad and I had the pleasure to experience the new Bonefish Grill bar bites menu and we loved it. We’ve always loved the food at Bonefish so on a Sunday afternoon we were craving some good food and we headed over to BFG(Bonefish Grill). As we were being seated, we were handed brunch menus. We had no idea they even served brunch, did you? We were both craving lunch so we decided to return the following weekend and try some of the breakfast brunch items. The first visit I wanted to try the Cold Snap Fish Ceviche. The Bonefish version had scallops, shrimp, fresh fish, vegetables, avocado, cucumber, jalapeño and cilantro served in a glass made of ice. On the side came warm tortilla chips which was perfect for dipping into the ceviche. I loved it but Chad is not a fan of anything ceviche. I was craving the Lobster Grilled Cheese, though not on the brunch menu, the kitchen was more than happy to make it for me. The bread was perfectly crisp and there was a nice balance of cheese and lobster chunks. Served with my sandwich was also a cup of the Lobster Bisque. It was exceptional. Chad had the Blackened Baja Street Tacos with mahi. The fish was served with a mango salsa and lime crema on three grilled taco tortillas. The mahi wasn’t too spicy and matched perfectly with the sweet mango. We also ordered Key Lime Pie for dessert. It was a nice presentation and it was delicious though nothing over the top special. On our next visit we decided to try the more traditional breakfast dishes. Chad tried the Crème Brulee French Toast which looked fabulous. The bread was thick and golden brown with a side of whipped cream, fresh mint and strawberries. He loved it. I went for the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict. It was such an interesting twist to the usual ham and eggs on an English muffin. The shrimp were huge and plump– it was so good. And the Hasbrown Casserole is to die for. Wow. We absolutely loved the brunch menu. We went to two different locations and the first offered anything off the dinner or lunch menu as well as the brunch menu(the Lobster Grilled Cheese). The second location only allowed us to order from the small selection of brunch offerings. However, for $ 20 Bonefish also offers unlimited mimosas, bellinis or blackberry sangrias with an included brunch entrée. Brunch is only offered on Sundays but it is certainly a place we would go to with friends or family.

I’ve been to a few different Bonefish locations, and this one is my favorite. There’s a great interior design and very friendly service. Everyone loves the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I’m really happy they started offering their Sunday brunch again, and that it has lunch items as well as brunch ones. Both are excellent choices. In fact they are currently open every day for lunch, and there are some very reasonably prices and excellent items available.

Very bad service, was my first time here. Seemed to be only our server that was bad, which ruined the evening. Food was very slow, and we had to wait 10 mins after our food arrived to get silver wear & that was only because we asked 2 people! Then our waitress finally came back and said, «everything ok NOW you have silver wear?» As if we were wrong to keep asking for some? My father in law had to wait another 10 mins &2 more people to get vinegar for his fish. She then said she would take care of dessert for the table, but only gave us two free, we had to buy the other 2. But she originally said«for the table» since we all had terrible service. Never again!
