I have been to the Big Easy 20 – 25 times. The cocktails and appetizers are top notch. I can only comment on 1 entre, because once I tried the shrimp and grits I simply cannot order anything else. It is wonderful! If you haven’t tried this place, you are missing out.

Omg good! The nay sayers be dammed. This is food porn! Everything was super delish! The crab stuffed ravioli, the crawfish po-boy, the oysters, the red fish salad, the et touffe, and the boil, what can I say, we loved it all! Blackberry sangria, super yummy! Service was excellent! Our glasses stayed full and so did our tummies! I am super glad we stopped here. Wish you had a location in Utah

Stopped by the big easy looking for something different in winter garden. Shrimp po boy was fantastic and we loved the muffuletta. We are now going to stop by much more. Great staff and the menu was great. Love that southern New Orleans food!

We’ve eaten here in the past and their food had always been home cooking at its best and really good. Not anymore, their food quality and flavor has suffered. Their food is no longer freshly made. According to the server my shrimp and grits were made the day before and the flavor was not there. The grits were pasty and heavy, the sauce was thick and heavy looked more like a soup. Just nasty. The bread pudding was heavy like it was days old, microwaved. Just a real dissapointment. The owner did come out and address our dissatisfaction she confirmed the bread pudding is made twice a week. She did comp our meal which was nice and she seemed genuinely concerned about the consistency issues. The owner seems really sweet and kind that’s why I gave the 3 star review otherwise I would have given an even harsher review. We are foodies and enjoy good fresh food and this fell far short of the mark.

I didn’t really enjoy it. While the atmosphere was lively, food was unmemorable. Doubt I’d try it again. Not my place.

We came in as a group of 12 on a Monday night. They did a wonderful job. The food was great, service was terrific and we had a wonderful time. The New Orleans fare was as advertises and unexpected for this area. Enjoy it and try it when you can.

Great atmosphere. Place comes to life around 7pm. I’m from NOLA so my standards are quite high. I ordered the crawfish and had to send it back the first time bc they were kinda cold and dry. They redeemed themselves with batch 2. Our server was okay, not a NOLA native so she was lacking the southern twang!

I really enjoy eating at the big easy! The food is delicious. So far I have had the surf and turf(cooked to perfection) the fried catfish and the shrimp and grits. Very affordable and great portions.

I enjoyed the food at The Big Easy very much. Had a half po boy sandwich and the crawfish soup combo. The service was a bit slow but the waitress was very apologetic.

Miss my real Nawlins food. This can work for temporary Cajun food. Can put more New Orleans décor

Since moving to nearby Clermont last spring, my wife and I have eaten at The Big Easy about a handful of times. Each visit has been fantastic! Everything from the fried green tomatoes, gumbo, red beans and rice, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, etc. has been superb. Several years ago I used to make frequent business trips into New Orleans and have eaten at all the well known hot spots. I can tell you that The Big Easy can hold its own up to places like Commander’s Palace, K-Paul’s, NOLA, Brennan’s, Antoine’s and many others. Just last Saturday I was running an errand in the area around noon and could hear an oyster po’boy calling my name. Of course I rushed right into The Big Easy and satisfied my craving washed down with a nice cold pint of draft beer. It just keeps getting better!

The service was fantastic, attentive but not intrusive, and the food was terrific. After a recent trip to New Orleans we’ve been craving authentic gumbo and found it here. We started with the gumbo and Boudin balls. No skimping on serving sizes here, both apps are great enough to share. My Creole Bloody Mary was perfectly spicy and hit the spot. The roast beef po’ boy was moist and full of flavor and the shrimp and grits, despite being a little runny, was also full of flavor. The beigniets were huge, sugary puffs of heaven. Come on by for a real dose of low country flavor and hospitality!

Not a bad place to eat. Had a decent menu if you are looking for some Cajun food. The service was decent considering it was all done by one man. He served as host, waiter and bus boy. Credit to him since the place was busy but cmon people hire another server please. There was a full bar inside the place which was kinda odd since the place didn’t seem like it had any alcohol but people love to drink I guess! The kids menu was average and prices were fair. Overall the food was ok but the sandwiches could use some more meat.

We’re visiting from out of town and I think this place has potential. Very casual, but the gem is the food. I tried thr crawfish and corn chowder, the crab cakes benedict, and the beignets. The chowder is and remains one of the tastiest soups I’ve had. It wasn’t too creamy, wasn’t too oily, and was perfectly seasoned. Spicy enough but not overwhelming. The eggs benedict was a tough one but I appreciated the effort. The crab cakes were not burnt and quite moist. I didn’t like bread because the cake was good enough to hold its own. Our first egg benedicts came out with overdone eggs, more soft boiled than poached but the staff went out of their way to redo the dish and the kitchen manager even came out to apologize and ensure everything was good. I loved it! Second time, the egg white wasn’t cooked through. A poached egg is difficult to cook: too much vinegar or leaving it in too long will result in soft boiled eggs, too little time in the water and the white still runs which is what you don’t want. But overlooking technicality, the sauce along with the crab cake, and egg was a perfect combination and was very delicious. Loved the food, very friendly staff, and a overall happy experience.

Hmmm, In Orlando on business gives me the chance to have dinner with my favorite Cuz. They’re in West Orlando, I’m down in LBV… How about Winter Haven? Dial up my Unilocal friends and hmmm… cajun? in Central Florida? Sure WTHN? Started with some Fried Pickles and Boudin Balls. After 10 minutes of sophomoric ball jokes, the apps showed up. FPs were very traditional southern with battered chips that were crispy on the outside and a served with a nice cajun aoli(yah, mayo with cayenne). Balls were really good. They had all the flavor of that crazy LA sausage but with a crunchy exterior. I went with mama’s jambalaya with some crawfish for main. Good dish but I would have loved having the crayfish whole and in the shell. Nothing like sucking out the salty goodness on those heads. Summary, good food, reasonable prices and our server was phenomenal. Come here hungry!

What a quaint place! Went to dinner with my parents here one night, and this place was quite delicious! For appetizers, we got gator bites which seemed like a small portion but was good for just appetizer. The gator bites are served with fries, so technically it could be a meal. For dinner, the portion was large but not as large as their competitor. I had a chicken dish, my mom had a crab cake, and my dad had shrimp and grits. Everyone loved their food! The food was really good and flavored quite well. I also had their blackberry sangria which was super good! The menu was really vast, and I was highly amused that the dessert menu was located right next to the appetizers(I was tempted to have a dessert as an appetizer, but my parents disapproved… so much for«life is short, eat dessert first» hrmmph!). The prices were also really good. The décor is less busy than their competitor, and it’s also a lot quieter. They do have a small but great beer selection, which is a nice touch. The restaurant itself is quite large and they have an outdoor seating area. Service was good but not great. Our server did a lot of extra back and forth between our table and the bar… rather than waiting for my dad to decide if he liked the beer sample she brought over, she dropped it off then left and came back several minutes later. That was odd.

It has been a few years, but New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit. Why? The flavorful and delectable food! Well, «The Big Easy» is a little piece of New Orleans right in a Winter Garden, FL. We let Unilocal guide us to this spot on our trek from Georgia to South Florida. Since I was the only one in my party that eats spicy food, our server graciously guided us through the menu so husband and the boys would not find any spicy surprises. I relished the thought of getting a bit of heat and thoroughly enjoyed my Crawfish Corn Chowder and Crawfish Étouffée. Both had just the right kick and were so flavorful. The Étouffée was served with cornbread which was moist and delicious. The men started with Cajun Crab Dip. They all loved it. Husband ordered the«Fall Off the Bone Ribs». Indeed, these ribs were so moist and juicy that they did fall off the bone! I tasted them myself and I was actually surprised that husband loved them since the sauce tasted somewhat mustardy, but I was not about to complain. As you can see from the picture, this was also a huge rack of ribs. The chef came out to see if everything was okay and mentioned that the ribs had just been added to the menu. 10 year old ordered the Crab Ravioli topped with Rich Lobster Sherry Cream Sauce. He loved this dish but it was so rich that even with his huge appetite, 10 year old could not finish it. My boy with the simple tastes, 11 year old ordered a burger. He said it was«okay». Since I was so full I did not taste the burger but it looked pretty huge and juicy to me. For simpler fare, The Big Easy also serves an array of Po-Boys and sandwiches. They also have desserts which sound fantastic! Other Unilocal reviews said the Beignets were to die for. Visions of Café du Monde were dancing in my mind. I was so tempted… but unfortunately we had to get back on the road. Maybe next time… Hopefully we will get a chance to sample the cuisine of this unassuming little gem, with great food, reasonable prices, and friendly service again!

Remoulade sauce? Yes please! My gf and I have visited a handful of times since moving to the area a year ago and we have been satisfied each and every time. As far as appetizers go, the Cajun Crab dip is alright, but I am obsessed with their fried green tomatoes drizzled with remoulade sauce. The tangy sauce works perfectly with the lightly battered tomatoes. We have devoured many of their entrees, however, a few of the standouts would have to be the jambalaya, shrimp & grits, blackened redfish and the shrimp po’boy. EVERYTHINGISDELICIOUS. Now if you’re considering eating at a Cajun/New Orleans restaurant then you have almost surely heard about beignets. Do yourself a favor and order them, you will not be disappointed. [Beignets are probably the only item on the menu that would not be improved by adding a generous drizzle of remoulade sauce] Very friendly service + great food… it’s a no-brainer
