We went for lunch on a Tuesday. The service was really fast and the pizza came out quickly. We got the pizza Bianca(sauce less) and a regular pizza with shrooms and artichokes on it. Excellent tomato sauce for the pizza. Really delicious! Nice seating outside to dine. They texted us when our order was ready to pick up. Took maybe 10 – 15 min to make. Totally reasonable amount of time. Nothing bad to say about them. The pizzas had the right amount of toppings. The 2.5 of us finished a 12 inch pie plus 1⁄3 of the 2nd pie. We will certainly be returning sooner than later. Thanks and good luck Micheals Ali!

The menu item that drew me to Michael’s wasn’t the pizza, it was the Caprese Sandwich. I ordered from the very friendly people behind the counter and sat and waited on my order at a nearby table. It came out and looked beautiful. The sandwich is filled with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and a balsamic reduction with a little side of coleslaw. The total was $ 10, which is okay considering the premium ingredients, but I wish there was a more substantial side that came with it. The sandwich was light, fresh and delicious. As the servers and cooks walked by, they all asked me how everything was. They are really sweet here. I would totally come back to try their wings and pizza.

I. LOVE. THIS. PIZZA. How amazing is this place you ask? Ridiculous. I thought my opinion could have been biased as my first pizza consumed was almost like a direct look into the heaven and stars, so I waited to write the review until I had made a second visit. Yep, still ridiculous. The first pie I indulged in here was a limited time special blackberry pizza. No traditional red sauce… just cheese, blackberry compote, and sprinkled with pizza love aka cinnamon. I’ll let you marinate(no pun intended) on that thought. The second trip was an enjoyable Hawaiian type but it also included that little bit of pizza love sprinkled on top. Not only is the food phenomenal but the staff and pizza makers themselves are super fun and always a pleasure to chat with while you wait for your slice of heaven to roll out of the oven. *Pro tip: the pizza is especially good while enjoying a beer, or after a few, from Crooked Can just a few steps away.

Stumbled upon this pizzeria when stopping into the Crooked Can. Crust — fantastic. Doughy but not too doughy. Perfect for coal fire. Best pizza ever… no, but great value for the price point. They were serving a «limited menu» — on Small Business Saturday. I can’t wait to come back and see what else they have to offer on their full menu.

Coal fired pizza sounds awesome right? Crunchy, crispy and chewy. We thought so too and from the reviews had some pretty high hopes. Whelp, I think we ended up with someone else’s order because we put in for peppers and onions(because they don’t really offer a vegetarian pizza that we could see) and ended up with tomatoes, onions, arugula, and two or three black olives. And it was warm, not hot like you’d think it would be right out of that coal oven. By the time we realized it probably wasn’t right, half the pizza was nearly gone as we split a small 12“ish pie. $ 20 buys a small pizza add two toppings or whatever they did, and two cans of Coke.

I was expecting more from this place. After reading all the excellent reviews and seeing all the photos of the exquisite pizzas, I was eager to drop by. First of all, we weren’t sure where they were located. We didn’t realize they were inside a marketplace. By the way, really cool market. We ordered a pizza with onions and peppers only. You can mill around the market and they will send you a text when it’s ready. I guess the order got mixed up or something. We wound up with more ingredients than we asked for. Overall, the pizza was good but I thought it would be crispier. I would probably try them again and order something else.

I was expecting so much more from the review but was ultimately disappointed. We had the arugula and prosciutto pie. The prosciutto was cooked and chewy and the dough was bland. I’d definitely try something more traditional next time.

A nice place for a fresh pizza! The ingredients are all fresh and made right there. The pizza is cooked I a coal fired oven and it tastes great. They text you when the pizza is ready so can come get it. The price is reasonable.

Very good pizza! Cool happening place! They burnt a bit of the pizza so they made us another without asking and gave us both of them! They text you when your pie is ready! Love it!

Great pizza! We got the Brooklyn and it was a large portion enough to feed two people! Wait can be lengthy especially on the weekends, but food is good.

This is some of the best pizza around these parts. We had a pepperoni and green pepper pie of our own creation, and I’m eager to try some of the other pizzas on their menu. So yummy, it was hard to share any of it with another human. I took one star off because the amount of time we waited was twice the time quoted and the seating was limited for those interested in dining there. We’ll definitely be back. Probably very soon!

I liked the pizza but the lady who was working the counter was not very friendly or helpful. My mother in law asked if they had a gluten free crust and the lady practically lectured us on why it wasn’t feasible for them to have gluten free crusts… the tone and length of the explanation felt like overkill. Additionally, when we ordered one pizza without cheese and asked for an extra vegetable topping comped in place of the cheese, you would have though we were asking for the moon… they did it, but not without some attitude from the woman. I will go back here because its part of the Market atmosphere… and the dough and sauce was good(for those of us who could eat wheat) but I just didn’t appreciate how briskly the woman addressed us when we asked out of the box questions.

They are located next to the Crooked Can Brewery. Good thing I had the brewery close by to have a beer while I waited an hour for 2 pizzas to be made. And no the wait wasn’t because the pizzas are deep dish! The pizza was delicious! But… I and everyone else waiting for their pizzas surely would appreciate knowing ahead of placing an order to expect a 60 minute wait. Not sure yet if it was worth the wait but the pizza is delicious.

What an amazing place with amazing pizza and amazing service. Went to the brewery /market for the first time and was just blown away by the personalized and kind service. Very attentive to our boy — which made it very family friendly even while we were enjoying Crooked Can beer while eating. Look forward to many repeat visits.

We had seen this place on our last few trips to the market and after hearing good things from others decided to give it a shot. The pizzas were crisp, delicious and the service was great. Only complaint is that $ 14 for a 12 inch pizza is a bit pricey. Lunch for three of us(we each had our own) with drinks was over $ 50. We did have plenty left over for lunch the next day though. We’ll definitely be back, but will be splitting pies next

Stopped into the Plant St. market for the first time a few weeks ago. My fiancé and I decided to grab pizza for lunch when we saw so many people eating here. We ordered a small pizza and wings. The wings are what you need to order! The wings were big and had great taste from the wood fire. The pizza was good but the wings are a must.

Had a Brooklyn pizza and a regular pie with mushrooms. They are relatively small pies, 12″. When cut, there were 4 pieces so a little bigger than a personal pan(usually 8 — 10″) but certainly not enough to feed a family. «Coal fired» sounds sexy and I’ve had wood fired as well as a regular pizza oven. What’s missing here is crispness. The pizza was floppy, not crisp. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza itself was tasty. But almost $ 30 for 2 small pies means we won’t be coming here very often. Couple that with 2 small glasses of beer from the Crooked Can Brewery for $ 13 means we have to find alternative ways of stretching our eating out budget.

As soon as I finished my pizza, I was certain as to what rating(3 stars) I would give this place. I’m puzzled as to how others would give it 5 stars, but maybe I caught them on a bad day? As far as taste goes, our Bianca(Mozzarella, Provolone, Ricotta and Gorgonzola) was alright, certainly not great. The coal fired oven gives it a taste that separates itself from Papa Johns, Pizza Hut etc., but it didn’t have much else to offer. It definitely wasn’t great/tasty enough to warrant the $ 13 price point for 4 slices. It is better than the other pizza spot in Downtown Winter Garden, but that isn’t saying much. As far as the service goes, this is another area in which they failed to meet expectations. They supposedly text you once your order is ready, but they had so much confusion. Pizzas were being given to incorrect individuals, we received several texts even after receiving our order and they just had no system in place to ensure the pizzas were correctly being served. Can’t forget the fact that they ran out of plates… no idea how that happens. So, would I try them again? Maybe, but only because I love pizza and I tend to crave the nearby Crooked Can Brewery every once in a while.

Just visited the new Michael’s Ali Coal Fired Pizza last night for the first time. They just opened a couple of days ago inside of the plant street market in Winter Garden. They were quite busy and for good reason, the food was outstanding! Toppings and cheese were abundant and flavorful, just the right amount of sauce and some really flavorful combinations available for the pizza. The coal fired oven gives it a really great flavor. The wings were outstanding as well and coming out of the oven. My other half really liked them as she can’t have fried food but loves wings and most places fry them, so this was quite a treat for her getting to enjoy them and the sauce had a great flavor. Staff was incredibly friendly, you order and they get your cell number, and you get a text when your food is ready. You can walk around the market and check other things out while you wait, enjoy the ambiance at a table inside or out, or grab a beer from the brewery in the market(that really complements the food well). Food was reasonably priced as well. If you are visiting the plant street market you should definitely try this place, it is a really nice addition. Check it out!
