This place continues to disappoint! I was hopeful when they first opened that this would be a great place to come instead of having to drive to Lakeland or Orlando. The menu is super limited, which would still be ok if they actually had what was on it. I have heard«we just ran out» every single time I have been there, and when you only have a few entrée selections that is bad. The excuses continue to get piled on for everything from the slow service, to waiting forever for a fresh drink, to trying to get food properly cooked. Sure, the chef will come talk to you, IF you want to rave about him… if however you would like to say your chicken is raw(and by the way the chef also needs to look up the word medallion) well then you arent going to get much conversation or much of a apology for that matter. Now if you like to have one or two things to choose from, a battery of excuses as to why your food isnt cooked right, or why they cant plan to actually be able to serve guests what is actually on the menu, or wait 20 min for a fresh drink then this place is for you. i however after giving this place 4 or 5 tries am done… i would rather eat at chilis(ugh and yuck lol)

I’ve given seasoned stone so many tries because it has the potential to have such a great atmosphere, but I always leave thinking«when will I learn?» The menu could be good if the food was cooked. Last time we went, they served two plates of raw chicken which were sent back only to eventually get another two plates of raw chicken. After a third try(at something non-chicken), the food was tasty. But we’re two hours in now and no longer in the mood. After sitting for 30 minutes with empty glasses waiting on the check, they were kind enough to take a whole $ 2 off the bill. No apologies, just excuses of how the breasts were too large. After that last 3 hour waste, I finally promised myself to never return.

We’ve been wanting to go to The Seasoned Stone for some time now. We were not disappointed. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken was unbelievable — and I’m glad I didn’t take up the waitress’ ask if I wanted a little extra spice. My wife’s vegetable stir-fry was so flavorful, my mouth trembled. Even the kids loved their chicken stir-fry. I’m hoping they bring back the grilled peach salad — I can’t wait to try it!

We went to the Seasoned Stone based on Unilocal reviews. My fellow Unilocalers rarely lead me astray. Tonight was one of those rare occasions. Maybe we should have gotten the hint when at 7:45 on a Friday night there were six people eating or drinking on the entire property. Or maybe the hostess who didn’t so much host us but rather asked us where we wanted to sit in a restaurant we had never been in before. Perhaps the fact that they were out of lemons to serve with water or tea should have tipped us off. Oh, if only there was a place where one could go and walk down aisles of produce and I don’t know, BUY a lemon? But without a doubt, the pre-set menu with a limited amount of choices should have been the sign we needed to get up and go. But we didn’t. So let’s begin. The menu offers three courses with three choices under each course. Course 1 — The Cheese Course. Cheese Sticks — a cheddar cheese stick wrapped in wonton wrapper and served with a bottled sweet thai chili sauce. Crispy but sad. Baked 4-cheese mac and cheese — for an appetizer? Odd. Pepper Jelly on cream cheese w/crackers. — Yup. A party appetizer served at a restaurant with good old town house crackers. Boring Course 2 — More cheese and crackers Artisan Cheese and Meats — Artisan? Smoked Gouda and aged cheddar with a mix of single slices of dried salami on the townhouse crackers again. This was nothing more than a lunchable. Appropriately it looked like a 3 year old had done the presentation. Corn Chowder — No thanks Chicken Salad with(wait for it) Crackers — This was actually very good. But it came without crackers and when we asked for some the waitress acted like we were… well, crackers. Still Hungry? Can’t imagine why. Good thing the entrée is coming. Course 3 — Corn, corn and more corn Chicken Medallions — Someone needs to look up the word medallion. These were not medallions Pork«bites» masala — Tough, with the texture of beef. Very few mushrooms. I sent it back twice. Salmon — didn’t order. Can’t imagine it was any better. Here’s the issue I had with the entrees. The menu stated that they were served WITH Lemongrass Parmesan Grits and Jalapeño creamed corn. The word WITH denotes a side item. When the entrees came they were served ON the grits and corn. That’s a difference. Side items I can eat or not eat. But when it is served ATOP grits and corn you can not avoid creamed corn. Which I try to do at every opportunity. And lets talk about the flavor profile. Lemon grass(Thai) Parmesan(italian), Jalapeño(mexican), Marsala(back to italian). Im all for fusion but this is a little much. Plus Grits is corn and corn is corn. That’s a lot of corn under the meager meat servings. So after I expressed my displeasure, someone came out(in short sleeves and shorts) Not sure who it was since he didn’t introduce himself. I’m guessing he was the chef. I politely expressed my opinion and avoided argument just saying, «Not all restaurants are for all people». They offered a free dessert but I hadn’t had dinner yet so… not really helpful. It was only after he proceeded to charge me full price for food i did not eat that I got a little irritated. When I protested he asked me why I shouldn’t pay for it. Any restaurant manager who knew what he was doing would have comped the meal and invited the guest back for another chance. It’s a shame I have to tell him how to treat his customers. I was not going to Unilocal this place. I don’t like to slam businesses. Bad ones will take care of themselves and that’s exactly what’s going to happen to The Seasoned Stone.(Why is it called that anyway?!?) Please check out my pictures of this food and tell me I am wrong.

This is a FANTASTIC little gem. The food is fresh, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. They are really doing things right here at the Seasoned Stone, I would eat here every day if I could. My daughter and I had lunch here and it was a beautiful spring day so we took advantage of the out door seating under the shade of an old oak tree. And they sang to my southern born and raised heart with a Watermelon Lemonade, so refreshing! Lunch itself was satisfying they had many options to choose from and the finale was an Oatmeal Cookie Cheesecake, which sang to my daughters heart. The price was in my opinion fair for what we received, for we would have spent just as much or close to the same at any fast food or chain restaurant for lower quality service and food. This place will not disappoint you but rather have you coming back for more and spreading the word.

Very refreshing restaurant where the focus is on fresh ingredients and a unique atmosphere. I have been to this restaurant 3 times now(2 lunch and 1 dinner) and each time the menu has been different. The menu changes weekly based on what is fresh and there are only 2 – 3 options to choose from. While variety is not a guarantee, the quality of the food can be! Food is amazing! The chef will also come out and speak to you if you would like to detail the inspirations behind his cooking. If you want a unique dining experience in a relaxing and refreshingly different location, check it out!

You have to eat here. Amazing food. Amazing outdoor seating. Definitely a unique dining experience for Winter Haven. This restaurant sits on a quiet street, underneath large moss-draped oaks, in what used to be an old house. Everything here is fresh and made on site, right down to the hot sauce. Expect items like salmon salad with fresh sliced mangoes, chocolate bread pudding, great chicken salad, caribbean cole slaw, and more.

Just ate there for the first time tonight. The food was tremendous. It was very fresh and well seasoned. I had the salmon. The potatoes and spinach were amazing. We stayed for the music also. The singer/guitar player was amazing. She had a great voice. I will definitely be going back.

I have eaten here many times, and their food is AMAZING! Always fresh and such interesting flavors. The«grab and go» concept works very well — where you can pick up dinner or lunch to go… but its also a great little place to sit and eat and just hang out with a couple of friends and enjoy a glas or two of wine. Its a tough one to call… but I think the Flatbreads(on Fridays) are my favorite item… and by far the BEST flatbreads we’ve ever had!
