Great location. Affordable BBQ, but meat was dry. Too dry. Kids liked the sweet sauce and the side dishes were OK. Would go again in a pinch. My kids love BBQ.

**I OVERHEARDTHEMANAGERASK A LINECOOKIFHE «SPITINIT”** Gone WAYDOWNHILL! Try 4 River’s just up Fairbanks if you’re serious about BBQ, else there’s a bar just across the street. Used to go there all the time as it was a pretty constant value. Prices have gone up, the manager wouldn’t honor prices on his published menu(for take out) and the spit debacle happened! As a longtime food service worker, I wasn’t being close to belligerent enough to deserve the nuclear option of server defiance. Needless to day I didn’t eat it and am now on a vendetta of sorts to spread the word against… There is a ton of trust that goes into ordering food at a restaurant, and these losers think they’re in the movie waiting. Think about it – I doubt they wash their hands, clean their equipment, or mind their expirations. If it wasn’t for a healthy cash flow from the bar, I’d give the place 6 months. Maybe the health inspector will close ‘em down(made the call already). Respect yourself – DON’T EATAT O’BOY’S WINTERPARK!!!

I understand some people just loooove college football, but please imagine 15 or so televisions(including a big screen) with the volume turned up SO fucking loud I couldn’t hear my husband ask me what the waitress just said to us because he couldn’t hear her. Minus 1 star for annoyance, inconvenience, and irritation.

O’Boys was a staple at Rollins College when I worked there and probably still is since they are big supporters of the college… which is why their food was at most major events and also why I’ve eaten it so many times more out of force than choice. While it was not horrible, I would’ve preferred something else if given the choice. Their food is not consistent. Sometimes the meat is tender with good spices and flavor. Other times its tough and chewy, with bland flavor and way too much barbecue sauce. The beans are too sweet for my liking. The mac ‘n cheese is average, as long as its hot and not ice cold like it typically is by the time it makes it to the campus. The restaurant itself is kind of dingy looking on the inside and the outside. However, they do have big TVs on which they show sports games all day and night. Service could be better. It always seems as if no one knows what they’re doing. Overall, there are far better barbecue joints in town.

i’m a fan of bubbalou’s over these guys, but their bbq is pretty solid too. i liked the previous WP locations better before they moved into the old harper’s though — now it’s more sports bar than bbq joint. and it’s really too clean to be either.

I keep trying them because they are close to my house, but O’boys keeps disappointing me. The ribs are consistently tough and bland. Last time I paid five bucks for extra ribs and got one more rib than my friend who did not order extra ribs. When I pointed this out, they told me my order was made correctly! What? Five bucks for one rib? No way! I have not been back.

Gross BBQ. My guy friends like it cause they have all-you-can-eat specials, cheap beer, and show the games, but upon leaving always complain of having to spend the rest of the night catching up on their bathroom reading! I, myself, viewed a rather large cockroach scurry across the last time i was there. NOTHANKS! Oh yeah, and the service sucks.

If you’re in the market for BBQ, O’Boys rocks! Consistently great BBQ and great service. Portions are more than enough and prices are just right. Good for sports-minded folks, lawnmowing crews, beerswillin’ hussies and accountants! I happen to know for a fact that some of the wealthy Winter Park movers and shakers hit the WP location every Friday for lunch. It’s the kind of place that’s just appealing to everyone! O’Boys is better than Sonny’s(read as: cleaner and tastier), and more satisfying(read as: more plentiful and cheaper) than Blackwater. Sure, there’s no salad bar but who wants to eat salad at a BBQ place? Go to Sweet Tomatoes for that noise. Convenient locations on Fairbanks, Colonial and South Orange. Get you some lip-smackin’ BBQ today!

Of all the BBQ places I’ve tried in town, O’Boys is the best! The smoked turkey and sliced pork are my favorites. The turkey has a rich smoke taste that doesn’t taste like they rubbed a ciggarette onto the meat for flavor, it actually tastes like smoke. Also, the compliemtary slaw and beans are almost worth the price itself.
