Elvis is alive and performed at the Red Fox Lounge last night! Albeit small and looking outdated, the Red Fox Lounge is a good time had by all.

Cute little local spot. Always seems to have some form of live music. mostly a man and his piano. Liquor and beer. In the best western. Bartender is probsbly a long time Winter Park local. I recommend for an intimate date or fun night out with friends :)

Go here and experience the Red Fox before it is gone forever! This is not a review on how much awesomeness this place has, how much throwback fun exudes from this institution, or how you will grin from ear to ear the entire time you are there. Those aspects are well documented in the other reviews. This is a plea, for you. If you have not yet gone — go to the Red Fox. The property is under contract to be redeveloped and this is likely the last 6 months they will be open. Go there, have a few drinks. Tip well. Take a picture of(or even with The Fox). Sing a song. Request a song. Tip the entertainers. Missing this experience is something you will regret.

Can I just say that I thought I had walked into The Dresden? There was a guy on an electronic keyboard, wearing a tux, singing Word Up or something and I fell in love before the first drop of my dirty martini touched my lips. Great great place for a date! If he/she is cool and can hang.

We recently headed here for Sandi W.‘s fab b’day. Mark and Lorna were a riot, they mixed in some holiday selections to their regular show. Awesome. Campy, fabulous, 100% committed. Drinks were good, service was prompt and the show had the crowd completely involved. Awesome for a small or large group, just be sure to reserve a table or get there early. The place was jam packed when Mark and Lorna started.

The drinks are strong and Mark and Lorna are, well Mark and Lorna. Get here early if you want to find a table, the place is tiny and it fills up early. You will have a blast if you like lounge music, audience participation, and unique places in general.

I went there last weekend after reading about it on here and I have to say I was a little disappointed. Maybe I built it up in my head or maybe it was the crowd that night. Mark and Lorna were performing and they were really good. You definitely won’t find a lounge act like that any where else in this town. One thing keeps nagging me about the whole thing though. I can’t find my receipt and I really think they overcharged my card by $ 10.00. Oh, well. I think next time I go I will take a bigger group with me and then I’ll review again. All in all, it is a must do while in this town.

On a whim, I went to the Red Fox Lounge one weekend with some friends who suggested going there. I had never heard of the place and had no idea what I was getting myself into! I have to say, when I first arrived at the hotel that the lounge was in, I was a bit skeptical! I was thinking to myself«what am I doing at a hotel?» «this can’t be any fun» and boy was I wrong! I had such a great time there! The lounge is small, so a table is hard to come by if you have a large group so reserving a table beforehand is always a good idea. Mark and Lorna are an older couple that play oldie songs at this lounge. Mark wears crazy shiny shirts with tight pants and plays the keyboard while Lorna wears tight dresses and sings/plays the tambourine. They also pass out tambourines to people who want to play along with them! You can also get up and dance. I think you need a sense of humor going to this lounge… otherwise you might feel out of place or just think the music/ambiance is terrible! It’s a great place to go sing along with the music, dance, have some good drinks, and laugh with friends! I certainly plan on going back!

Love this bar! Located in the Best Western, Mt. Vernon Hotel, this bar is kitschy and fun! Strong drinks! Outdoor seating by the pool! Feels a little like Don Draper should be sitting at the next table. Grab a highball and check out the musical stylings of Mark and Lorna, a lounge act extraordinaire! They are pretty amazing. Call ahead to reserve a table inside, they fill up quickly!

What a fun place! I went here for the first time this past weekend after hearing a lot about it. It is a great change from your regular bar. A couple called Mark and Lorna sing oldies but goodies and pass around tambourines for you to sing along with. They are so cute. Everyone gets really into it. Finding a seat is a little hard so, if you have a big group try and get there a little earlier or call ahead. They also pour very strong drinks(Casey’s of downtown Orlando style). So much fun, definitely check it out!

Love this place. Super cute, strong drinks, nice people. Music and atmosphere are fun and inviting. If you go during the day they have the pool. It is a nice place to hang out away from down town. –Aimee

I LOVE this place, Mark & Lorna and all of the 5-star reviews! Aliya J.‘s review perfectly sums up this place. In fact, all of the 5-star reviews do, since that’s what the Red Fox Lounge is: 5 stars, in every area. Mark & Lorna are an Orlando institution, so much so that a documentary about them was made and then shown at the Florida Film Festival in 2009. They also played a benefit show at The Social — maybe last year? — which was awesome, long overdue and well-received.(Man, it was crowded in there that night!) I really need to go here more often. It’s been a while! I won’t be updating this review at any point in the future since I don’t have anything to add to the existing 5-star reviews, nor do I imagine myself giving it a lower rating at any point. This is one of the best places in the area to head to for some drinks. Great crowd, Mark & Lorna are amazing, great service, great drinks and a really unique & cool location. Highly recommended!

I just died and went to vintage heaven! Here’s what I remember… my face hurt from smiling so much! Yes! It’s entirely possible to smile ridiculously for ridiculous amounts of time at the sheer ridiculousness(aka: awesomeness) of this place. The lounge act, Mark & Lorna, make you feel as if you are in Vegas. Actually, think more Reno than Las Vegas. Regardless, they are all class, all the way. With a solid 1970’s vibe, this place was like getting out a time machine, somehow miraculously hitting the absolute sweet spot of that decade! I walked in and felt like I hit the retro jackpot. The Red Fox Lounge has super cheap drinks, and with Mark & Lorna singing a medley of classic tunes(you will know the words to at least a couple of their songs), good times are sure to be had. Think of a bunch of drunkards screaming in unison to Neil Diamond’s «Sweet Caroline.» The best part? The clientele is a crazy mix of deep-pocket-big-haired-elderly socialites to Rollins college students to curious lunatics like me. Boy am I glad I came here! Wonderful(but small) venue with amazing service and super friendly patrons. A step back in time? Yes! A waste of time? No!

Mark and Lorna are amazing! This is a must for a great night out! They are so entertaining. I am always amazed about the vast age groups that come into the Red Fox Lounge(Rollins and UCF students… all the way to octogenarians) and EVERYONE is having a great time! This is a great spot for a birthday celebration. They make the birthday boy/girl feel special and make sure they are having a blast on their day. Tambourines, maracas, balloons, etc. If you have a group, get there early… this place is very small and fills up fast! However, if there are 2 – 4 people, go anytime, eventually a table will open up. There is a full bar, not a ton of choices, but enough to please everyone in the party. There is no food, so make sure to eat somewhere prior. This is an Orlando gem!

Straight up I will tell you 5 Stars for Mark and Lorna. Okay for those new to Orlando, or not into the places that fall thru the cracks of time, or only I go to Bright, Shiny, and New in Orlando, or the«I live here and the only place I go for entertainment is Howl at the Moon or the Disney, Universal». This little gem of a bar is basically the smallest place you will see with a «Live» show in town. Mark Wayne Weeknights and Weekends, and his wife Lorna on Friday and Saturday are straight outta old school Las Vegas lounge singers. This is where Trent(Vince Vaughn) and Mike(Jon Favreau) and the gang from the 1996 movie Swingers would hang if they were in Orlando instead of L.A. Mark Wayne and Lorna sing covers of all the classics and a few current hits. You would be hard pressed to request something from the past that they don’t know. The bar itself is small and intimate very early 1970’s vibe and Mark Wayne and Lorna know how to work the room during breaks and before the show they walk around and speak with the audience and cater music to cover the crowd. If you get there early enough Mark is there loading in more chairs for people to sit. The have a rouges gallery of singers or locals and or friends that will sometimes sit in(the guy that comes into sing the song Delilah is my personal favorite) and for those really into the music they will sometimes if you put Bread in the Jar, Bread in The Jar, Bread in the Jar(sung during the Billy Joel song Piano Man they have customized it a bit to generate some tips, which the rightly deserve) they will even let the crowd share the spot light. This is the place when you want to have a fun evening with your parents and or grandparents you would take them here. The crowd ranges in age from 21 to 81. If you want a seat get there about 7:45pm and or 8 after that it’s crowded. Guys let the older folks sit if they need a seat it’s manners and impresses the ladies. I had a group one time and we were there at 8:15 and the place was dead and everyone with me was like let’s jump from here and by 9pm you could not move. Saturday and Sunday are the best nights. Drinks are stiff and nothing too fancy or fruity! The bar keeps are a bit older and a little slow but it’s old school kiddies and these folks are holding class. Check it out! Good Times

Ok… remember the scene in Swingers with the old people singing in the bar? Imagine that but instead of hipster types, here you have old folks(seemingly former mafia by the jewelry and bill folds I saw) gettin hammered and having an amazingly good time. I absolutely love this place. Not 100% on the performer’s names but I believe another reviewer named them as Mark and Lorna which sounds right… I tend to leave the place a bit sideways so memeory fogs some. Dress nice and don’t be rude, you will have a blast.

This is a true original, this is not contrived. Honesty and absurdity rolled up into a tight, geriatric, and overly entertaining ball. Unfortunately, they do not stock Partida or Patron. That is usually enough to take a start away. But, as long as Mark and Lorna headline, they will always get 5 stars.
