The Ditch

Love this place. Had the fish tacos which were awesome. Friendly staff and locals! Margarita is wickedly delish! Only one small disappointment was the salsa we got with the chips. Too much like tomato paste vs a nice fresh salsa. Oh well won’t stop us from going back. The green chile was so tasty. Try it, you’ll like it!

This place is awesome after a day of hiking. The Ditch Burger is a must if you haven’t tried it already. The deck views are great and seating ample. The service is super friendly and genuine, especially from the manager and cute blonde guy waiter. Will definitely be back!

I would like to give a shout out to yall over at the Ditch from Austin, Texas. Scott aka Billy Ray his lovely side kick Christy aka Pauly Shore and that gorgeous bartender, this was by far the best place I’ve been in winter park we have a condo in Granby but the quick drive down there is well worth it. The customer service is amazing and I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere the margs were the bomb!

Happy hour! Skip all the cheap well drinks and have a margarita. Order the steak nachos with the delish hatch green chiles. Ignore the head-​bashing music and enjoy the people-​watching.

Just went to The Ditch last weekend. There is a nice deck to hang out on when its warm and sunny. It was packed so we sat at the bar and enjoyed one of those famous strong margarita’s and watched the chef’s cook the food. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly even when they are slammed. Scottie the owner served us up some chips and salsa to enjoy while we perused the menu, it’s been awhile since we’ve been in. The Ditch has a loyal locals crowd and the owner is awesome. The burgers and fries are my favorite at The Ditch. I ordered the Patty Caliente this time instead of my usual Bitch burger (no green chile) My husband always gets the Ditch burger. I prefer my usual Bitch burger over the Patty Caliente, but its good to try something new. The nachos look appetizing as we watched them being made– next time we need to order them with our margarita and share a burger instead. They are the perfect paring to The Ditch margarita. There is a restaurant and a bar side. I prefer the bar side and the outdoor deck but it was so busy last Sunday the only seats were at the bar. Sometimes on a nice sunny day a margarita on a deck overlooking Hwy 40 and people watching is the only way to go.

The margaritas, the green chili, the burgers, the service– all top notch! This will be a regular stop when I ski Winter Park!

Love the margarita! Tamales and Ditch burger were good to — brought some frozen home for breakfast. I will definitely be back. Friendly atmosphere — plenty of space to relax and enjoy… meeting new people local and seasonal.

Don’t go here unless you like green chilis… they charge you to take them off! Otherwise food tastes great, be wary of the aftershocks that might occur in your stomach.
2 Stars because mostly everyone in our party was hurting all night after eating here… but the food did taste pretty good and service was attentive, but the wait for our food was long.
I went here with a group of about 10 people and had to wait for awhile before we were seated. Once we were seated, the wait staff quickly took our drink orders. Food took awhile to come out once the order was placed.
I wasn’t feeling like a burger or tacos, so I ordered Tao’s Talapia Fish Sandwich. The fish was as advertised, crispy and blackened. The tarter slaw had a hint of green chilis which was a new and interesting twist.
Most of the other members in our group ordered one of their many burgers. They looked really good and apparently tasted like they looked. However, the story the next morning was that something in the burgers didn’t agree with everyone’s stomach.

Before you do anything here, order a margarita… you will not be disappointed! Had the nachos and the Philly both were insane. I would even say possibly the best Philly in the CO! What? In a ski town?!? Yes…
The green chile is fresh and made with hatch green chilies and has chunks of pork so big you have to address them by name. Server Jonathan rocked and they even brought out water for our dogs. Our new go to place for sure.

Ok love this place the sliders were so yummy. If you want a great ski town place to eat you will love this place!

Great food from friendly folks. Great Margaritas but a remember… 1 will get you loopy and 2 will get you drunk. I had the Ditch burger and it was very good. They have kids meals too. A+ for these folks

We stopped in after a day of riding, it was just what we needed. Great staff, great happy hour, and staff was very friendly. LOVED the pork green chili, far from the burnt bong water I was expecting. We will be back, nice to meet you Scotti:)

This place is awesome. I ate at the Ditch when they first moved into Fraser Valley. Every time I’m in town I stop in and grab some drinks and food.
Owner rocks and the bar tenders work hard to keep up with the influx of locals and visitors to the area. The chef has awesome creations which I try to diversify although the Ditch burger and Rubens are spot on. Tamales are Bad A

Had diner at the ditch last night. Service was friendly and great. The waitress/​bartender was genuinely caring, friendly and funny. I love the people here. The menu was complete and well set up. The food was on time and tasted great. Compliments to the chef/​cook. Meals were very well prepared with attention to detail. Portions were perfect.
The restaurant was on the second floor and had a great feel and nice local ski décor. Was family friendly and just plain comfortable.

I have to give this locals watering hole props for great service, fun & friendly atmosphere. The margs were terrific and the chips and queso were tasty. The food hit me as typical bar fare with a Mexican slant. This is the spot to apres ski with the local crowd!

Out of chile rellanos. Green chile taste burnt/​bong water. Out of red chile. Upside Margs were good decent beer selection. Kids seemed to enjoy beef tacos. Doubt we will revisit

Ate at the bar with the gf. The owner and bartender were great guys to chat with about the town and things happening in the area. Food was Outstanding. Margaritas were Outstanding and draft beer was good and cold! A great place to walk to from our condo!
Wish we had left room for dessert, because the one being served to another customer look really good!!!

Positives
1.The green chili sauce makes the ditch worth a visit – if you’re someone who visits WP a lot.
2. Outside seating was nice, right along Main St., Winter Park.
3. Servers were helpful and attentive.
Drawbacks
1. I expected a better burger. I’d give it a ⁶⁄₁₀. The chili sauce might bring that up a bit.
2. Our servings of fries were small. However, I could have asked for more.
3. LONG wait. They do forewarn you about this in the menu though.

After searching for place nearby we decided to go to The ditch despite the few review. Our overall experience was good.
We ordered chicken sandwich, fish tacos, fish sandwich, veggie sandwich and jose nachos. Although it took a While for our food (seems like they are underemployed), our food was reasonable and filling. Sweet potato fries and onions are better! I really liked the fish sandwich and taco — flavorful. Its a good restaurant to drop by for lunch.
