I LOVE Tijana Flats food! Dos tacos with their sauce bar and I’m one happy camper! The atmosphere if chill and fun, and totally relaxed. Not fancy, it’s a taco place that’s meant for fun and chilling out. The outside eating area is awesome! The food is some of the best Mexican around. It’s fresh, and always prepared just right. I’d give 5 stars, but I have one issue that I’d love to see them address. That being, the food prep time can be painfully slow. I’ve been there before, just a few other folks around, nobody else placing or waiting for an order, yet I still have to wait 10 – 15 minutes for my food. This isn’t uncommon, it’s actually pretty much the standard. I’d go there far more often if they could shorten their food prep time. As it is I eat there once about every week or two, that would be more like 2 or 3 times a week(their food is that good) if the wait wasn’t so painfully long

I’ve always wondered why Tijuana Flats was so popular. I think I figured out why. It’s the service. We had lunch here today and ate there ordering the taco salad and the chicken norito. Both solid, but not spectacular. Food is a 3-star although I do give them props for preparing it fresh. Service on the hand is a 5-star. We were approached maybe 5 times from the staff to see if we needed anything or a refill on our drinks. Kudos to the management and the staff. Will be back!

Typical Tijuana Flats food but with excellent customer service. Yes there are high school kids mid day, however, unlike the other review they are typical high schoolers laughing, goofing and having fun whats wrong with that don’t you remember what its like to be a kid?

I never made it inside today, and, unless things change, I certainly will not be going back. I am at the center every day in the afternoon, and there is an obnoxious gang of high school kids that hang out on the patio EVERYDAY after school, for HOURS. A few will bounce back and forth between Huey Magoos(inside) and the TF patio, 6 – 8 kids. They are LOUD, rude, obnoxious, profane, juvenile(throwing things around and at each other) and are the antithesis of the«family friendly» vibe that Tijuana Flats espouses. It wasn’t just me — there were two other families that were scouting the food options and bypassed TF because of this element. The staff couldn’t help but notice but just in case, I went inside. The short story is, they couldn’t care less. Like it or not, your restaurant will be judged not only on the food you serve, but also the behavior that you will tolerate on your premises. If this is the behavior that you find acceptable, I am sure that your food isn’t up to my standards anymore — and it’s a shame because I used to go to TF a LOT.

There’s NO Athentic Mexican food here. Just like TACOBELL. I’m disappointed and I won’t go back.

I love Tijuana flats! The service at this location is superb and so friendly! This is my wife and my go to spot for our Tijuana Flats fix and we are never disappointed. I just wish they had the Rasta Sauce on the sauce bar!!!

Love the sauces and the megajuana burritos. Try the different varieties of mild, medium and hot sauces or put a little on each part of the item. Really tasty.

Do you enjoy pieces of metal In your mouth? If so, this is the location for you! I have been eating at Tijuana Flats since it started. It was a frequent hangout when I was attending UCF and years since. Now, married and with a child on the way, my wife and I used to eat at this location all the time. Last week, we ordered our usual Taco Tuesday special with a side of chips and salsa to-go. We ordered the food to-go because we have a baby is due in roughly a weeks. As we began eating our dinner, I noticed something very hard in my mouth between my lower teeth and lip. I spit it out and realized that a twisted piece of metal was in the salsa. Now, this wasn’t a staple(which would have been just as bad). But this was a thick, piece of stringy metal. I took several pictures of the piece of metal which you will find above. Needless to say, I was shocked and rightfully disgusted. Not to mention that I had the stinging taste of metal in my mouth all night. What if my wife swallowed it? What if I didn’t get the piece of metal in my salsa and instead a child ate it and swallowed it in your restaurant? The Tijuana Flats tagline is «Keepin’ It Fresh!», so my question is: Just how fresh is food with metal pieces lumped inside of it? Did a piece of the equipment used to make the salsa break off and fall into the salsa? If so, do the employees actually look at the food before they give it to people to consume? I contacted the store manager and his response was: «This has happened at other locations but never ours.» Scary? I emailed corporate TF and the district manager seemed completely unresponsive. Again, beware of this location! With so many other fast-casual Mexican restaurants with clearly far fresher ingredients out there, my family is officially done with Tijuana Flats.

It’s a must! We love the food, the service and, of coarse, the salsa bar! Taco Tuesday is always great, BUT there’s always a huge line EXCEPT between 1:30/2:00 and 5:00. Then it gets jamming again. Great. Now I’m craving it! LOL

Okay. Okay. This is RARE for me probably because it is rare that an establishment can do a 180 like TF has done so quick. I snuck in last week very quietly, even used a fake name(so as to not either get smacked or special treatment), and had a very good meal. Zero issues. Tonight, I was up front that it was me, the disappointed patron from a couple of weeks back, giving it another try. The result is a 5 Star! I think it would have been even without the extra attention given to the order. Food was great! Hot, fresh, just like the«old days». Very special thanks to Matt & Alyssa for excellent customer service attitude and ensuring that we will be back! I’m a big fan again.

A house divided. My wife loves Tijuana Flats. Me? I’m Chipotle all the way. Of course, marriage is about compromise, so I do end up at the Flats from time to time. It’s not that I don’t like the Flats, the food is rather decent. It’s mostly the rice I don’t enjoy(and that’s a big part of my meal). The steak is pretty good, as is the chicken. That’s usually what I get when I do have to go. Lately they’ve added these cookie dough flautas that are rather tasty as well. As for the location, the staff is attentive, made sure our drinks were topped off regularly. And despite being rather busy, the wait time was minimal. The more I go, the more it grows on me. Perhaps one day I’ll go of my own accord, probably not, but you never know. Weirder things have happened.

The food was good, kind of cafeteria style but good tasting. The prices were awesome. Great location but the parking lot design sucked.

This place gets major bonus points. Very friendly when we walked in. Right off the bat they greeted us and brought us menus as we put our 7 month old into a baby seat at one of the tables. We took a few seconds to decide then I walked up and ordered. The girl was very friendly and as she took my order a guy began grabbing our drinks. As I paid and went to get the sodas, he offered us some applesauce for our daughter, which we gladly accepted since she recently began eating foods like that. So there we were eating some of the best tacos ever, and our daughter got to join in and enjoy some yummy Mott’s applesauce. It’s nice to have such a kid/baby friendly place. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We popped in to the usually stuffy Winter Springs neighborhood locale for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised to find a friendly, helpful staff and speedy food service. Hubby ordered the nachos and I got the taco salad. I love the diverse toppings! Black olives? Yes, please! Jalapenos = hubby’s fave. The hot sauce bar is also a great way to add some spice and flavor to your meal. I was surprised at the portion size — mighty large and absolutely sharable for under $ 8 each. Our meal with drinks only came to around $ 17. There’s nothing spectacular about the Mexican fare they’re serving here taste wise, but everything was fresh and flavorful. We’ll be sure to stop back, but next time on Taco Tuesdays!

Like all the restaurants in this strip mall it small and narrow, not very inviting. The order counter takes up half the dinning room. Its also very loud in there, specially when the waitresses call out your name. I wish they would have an lcd with a number/name system. They had enough nicknacks all over the place why not setup something useful? My chicken taco was cold. I like TF, I go to the Oviedo one enough. I am not willing to go to this one again. Its so small and the food wasn’t as good as I am used to. There wasnt even much beef in the beef taco. I was going to give three stars, but the food was sub par so I dropped them below average.

Tijuana flats is a great place to get your tex-mex fix at a pretty decent price and good quality food. Sure, you won’t find Rick Bayless reviewing this place with 3-diamonds, but come on … it is good overall food. The location in Winter Springs is really nice. The restaurant is always clean and you can tell the staff do a good job to keep the place cleaning. On more than one occasion while waiting for my food, if the staff is not busy you see them wiping down the counters and tables. Always a nice thing to see :) The patio outside is a nice touch, but it is shared with neighboring establishments so it is hit and miss to the noise level or people sitting nearby. Some of the«ground features» need some improvement(lights along the wall, electrical sockets broken) but I don’t think that is Tijuana Flats fault, but people might think it is. The staff is always nice and efficient to bring the food out to you. They’re always asking if everything is okay and make sure you’re okay with drinks. Customer service that stands out from the rest! Happy to have a Tijuana Flats down the road!

Ohhh how I love Tijuana Flats. I was reluctant to come at first as I am incredibly picky about Mexican or Tex Mex kind of foods. While the choices sounded good, I am always a bit fearful. My husband convinced me to try it and I am so happy I went. I have been to this location the most, but I have gone 3 times which is every time I have visited Orlando since my husband started school. The place is colorful and fun inside, I quite enjoy the goodness for all its worth. My first choice was fairly safe — just beef quesadilla with sour cream and it was soooo yummy. The queso which we always get, is good and great to dip things in, whether it be chips or a quesadilla. Next we got the beef flautas, which were even more delicious. We got onions, sour cream, and onions which all came on the side which was good but I wish they had been inside. I would and will get then again. And again. The hot sauce tops it all off. I hate hot sauce. Like the normal kind. I will try hot sauce at Tijuana Flats, and not only that, enjoy it! My fave is the Smack my Ass and Call me Sally(the sweet one… with the onions and brown sugar… I want some now… please bring me some). The food is delicious, always fresh, and my favorite food around. I crave it so much I have considered driving two hours to the near-Philadelphia location(random one in PA) many weekends. One of my favorite things about Florida.

Always enjoys coming here. My usual is the salad with chicken or chicken taco. My food is always good, never had issues with any meal. I like the crushed ice used for drinks vs cubes. Makes my drink just that tiny bit more enjoyable. Hot sauce bar with anything from sweet to unbearable is available as well. I love the outside patio. I can bring my dogs along with. I issues. Customer service is great when sitting inside or outside. Always ask if meal was good and if refills are needed. Never a long wait when I have been there. Taco Tuesdaze get two tacos, chips and a drink for 4.99.

Great location of Tijuana Flats. Like others who have reviewed, we have eaten at many area TF’s over the years. The food is good, well prepared and the staff is really awesome; very attentive and friendly. This is a large TF location, with plenty of seating inside and out. The outdoor patio is bar none, the best of any of the TF’s I’ve been to. Hubby and I just signed up for updates for events at this location and we’ll be back.

Keith H hits it on the head with this location specifically… the customer service rocks. It’s so clean here too. And to chat about the ambiance, the outdoor seating here is gorgeous, you can enjoy the beautiful weather on their patio. I also got to meet the owners who are a lovely couple from Orlando and their passion for community truly shows. I usually go for the loaded nachos with chicken but something was calling me to the salad with carnitas so I went with it. It was delicious, fresh and filling along with a side of chips and guac. Apparently they re-did the giac recipe and it was tasty! Overall, great experience and even though it is a chain, this exudes local community flavor!
