My mom has owned horses my entire life, so I grew up hanging around barns and riding. Between her and I, we have have boarded horses at most of the stables in the Davis/Dixon/Woodland/Winters area, so I know from experience that Somerset is of the best. The owners are amazing, the facilities are extensive and extremely well-kept, and the people are friendly and helpful. Somerset is composed of: * A beautiful main barn that houses several horses in traditional stables, each connected to individual outdoor paddocks. * Large outdoor paddocks that house two horses in each. An overhang in the front of the paddock protects the horses during heat or winter weather. * Additional individual outdoor stables. These have more protection than the outdoor paddocks and are larger than the stables in the main barn. * A large outdoor arena * A large covered arena * A horse walker * Huge amounts of trail riding If you’re looking for Somerset, drive down Putah Creek Road and turn left onto Wintu Way. This isn’t a very well-marked road(nor paved), so pay attention. Drive all the way down Wintu Way and eventually it was end into Somerset. If you’re looking for a nice place to board your horses, I highly recommend Somerset.
