Tonight is my first time visiting Rustic Table and I most definitely will be back. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the owner. The atmosphere is beautiful, the seafood paella is out of this world. We also got the stuffed chicken, which is like a chicken cordon bleu, but with pancetta and a light cream sauce. I highly recommend it!

Thus place focuses on making burgers, and doing them well. At that, they have succeeded. This is my favorite burger place in the Boston area. That being said, this really is a burger place. They have a few beers on tap, and hookahs if that’s your thing. But I wouldn’t recommend if you were expecting something different.

For someone who doesn’t fancy himself a burger person, it means a lot when I say that a burger joint is probably my favorite restaurant in Winthrop. While there are some delicious appetizers worth trying(I recommend the wings), these burgers are quite extraordinary. I have literally had several friends say, on separate occasions, that the burger they ordered was the best burger they’d ever had. If the burgers alone aren’t enough to entice you, I suggest you read my review on Alia to hear about my praise for the owner, Said. Said owns both Alia and Rustic Table where he masterfully infuses his Moroccan cooking into both Italian and American cuisine. His passion for hospitality is unmatched and he loves nothing more than making sure his guests are well fed and thoroughly entertained.

We are sitting at the table right now and both agree that we just experienced the best burger in the greater Boston area. The Moroccan seasoning gives it such a distinct and delicious flavor, it defies description. The meat was fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and flavorful. My son and I have been attempting to find the best burger in Boston for a couple of years now and as far as I am concerned the search is over. This little restaurant is never crowded, so you have no excuse not to treat yourself to this little gem any night of the week.

This is a review that highlights the true power of Unilocal! We just wanted to enjoy a meal under the stars so my girlfriend pulls out her iPhone & taps the Unilocal!app to find a nearby place. 1st place to pop up that met this criteria was this establishment. We almost drove place the place but was able to find a parking spot right out front. I noticed a tall man stand out front with kitchen clogs on. As we got close to the door the man ran to open the door & warmly welcome us in. It was quite quiet for a Tuesday night but that did not deter us from making a beeline to the small outdoor patio. We got there right as the sun kissed the horizon & the clouds had hints of pinkish blues. Besides the hues of the sunset there were quite a good number of handsome boats waiting for the summer to come. Your ears could hear the lapping of the waves right on the other side of the dry docked boats. The enthusiastic man in the clogs happen to also be the owner, Said. He brought us menus & asked us if we felt more Italian than pub grub. We were hungry & open to anything. So he informed us he also owned Alia Restorante located right next door & grabbed us more menus in a blink of an eye. Said was so happy & honestly proud of his establishments so he sat down to tell us about his cultural & cooking background. Which was fascinating to hear. In between tales he also informed us of the specials. He really wanted to fulfill our culinary desires & was willing to modify anything we ordered. The frutti di mare special caught my ear & then he recommended to lay it all on a bed of rice to soak up the seafood juices. Plus he found out I was Thai & we like our heat so he was going to turn up the dial a bit. Before our meal a hot chili soaked in olive oil came out with some hot rolls, which by the way was sent back by Said because he felt they were not hot enough. A perfect starter to the swiftly served main course that came out in in a gorgeous traditional blue Moroccan tagine which had a lid that also served as receptacle for the shells. Now lets talk about this dish. I have had it in many places, many times & many ways but I can honestly say this was one of the best examples I have every had. The generous amount of mussels, clams, octopus & shrimp all danced together with an assortment of spices & rice. The heat was perfect, not too hot that it masked all other flavors & not weak to the point that black pepper would be spicier. I am drooling just writing this review. Every several moments Said would come check in & open himself us to us about his thoughts on life, food & whatever else came to mind. I could taste that he put his heart & soul in his food, that is something quite special & normally only reserved for the kitchens of people’s homes. Now this is only the tip of what these establishments had to offer. Hookah, live music, belly dancing were options down the road. These hidden gems are the true reason why services like Unilocal!are great. We expected just a meal but instead we got an experience. Thank you Said & be reassured that I will be shouting from the hills about you, your food & the emotion that shows in eveything you do.

Great atmosphere. The owner stopped and talked to us for a while and he was very friendly. He also went out of his way to make us dinner from his restaurant next door, Alia’s, since rustic only served burgers, and our party of nine people wanted something more. We proceeded to place our order and the owner suggested some meals not on the menu. Needless to say, the seafood dish he made me was delicious! Live acoustic band and delicious drinks added to the wonderful experience!

I very rarely enjoy a burger when I go out but hands down my wife and I had the best burgers of our lives today. The owner served us and simply said he would surprise us with a delicious burger, he did not fail. He was extremely interactive and friendly while promising to top himself on our next visit. Between the fantastic food, wonderful family ownership, and nice setting I’m sure this place will quickly become one of our local favorites.

Popped in here on a whim and was very pleased. The décor is perfect, so unbelievably welcoming and comfortable. The menu is very small. It’s mostly burgers and a few appetizers, but the few things we ordered tasted fantastic. There is almost NOWHERE in Winthrop with a full bar and decent food, it’s essentially a food(and fun) desert. Go to Rustic Table, you will not be disappointed.

Great food! I’m not much of a drinker but, the food is great! Some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The owner is one of the coolest guys ever. Comes and talks to everyone. Always a good time. If you’re looking for a good time and good food with some drinks this is the place to be.

The bugers are delicious and drink prices are good. The appetizers are great and the burger was cooked just how I asked. Service is great and food is in a timely fashion. Its a pretty big place with the backroom and hookah area open. Can’t wait to come here in the summer!

YESYESYES! Rustic Table has finally provided Winthrop with THEBESTBURGERSINTHEAREA! I can’t say enough about the new Rustic Table!!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is wonderful, the owner is fantastic, and always wants to make sure you are well fed and beyond satisfied with your visit… and it’s not uncommon for him to come over to make sure everything is perfect. I ordered the muscles to start with… delicious and fresh in a garlic butter sauce. And the classic burger… cooked exactly the way I wanted(rare means RARE… medium means«pink all the way through, etc… you have been warned please order accordingly, he’ll cook it just the way you order it.). Served with a fresh lightly grilled bun. And THEBEST French fries I have had in a long time. Now… while ones French fry preference varies, these were thin cut, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, not too greasy, washed down with a lovely cabernet, all while sitting on the patio located in the back of the restaurant overlooking the ocean. But wait! There’s more… My burger cost(ready for this) about two dollars more than a big mac! TWODOLLARSMORE??? You absolutely cannot beat that! While the place is going through a good deal of changes, please note that right now they are working on there beer and wine stock as noted by the waitress, they may not have your favorite, but they’re working on it… Fun, relaxing, inviting, and delicious. Treat yourself to the Rustic Table, writing this is making me crave it. I know I’ll be back!

Went here on Wednesday night with a friend for dinner. The ladies met us later. I’ve walked my dog past this place for a while and always wanted to try it. Started with calamari which was light and crispy the pesto aioli dipping sauce was great. We both got a burger, he got a Moroccan burger and I got one with fresh mozz and bacon. They were nice and juicy and cooked just right. I was excited to finally find a good burger in Winthrop. Definitely going to be back to try some of their entrees. We hung around for a couple drinks and were joined by the ladies. Service was great but could have been more attentive at the end we had to flag them down for our check. Beer selection was ok but they still had Sam Winter for the seasonal. Seems like a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and a drink in the bar or a nice full meal in the dining room.

Came here a while back and haven’t had the opportunity to give my review so I am going to start now. I came here with someone to have a quiet dinner out heard about this place. It was recently opened and I always love trying out new places. The owner was super friendly and courteous. He attended to our needs with a smile on his face and that. to me is the most important thing in any establishment. We ordered the same thing, swordfish with rice pilaf and it was adequate. nothing special but that was when it first opened so I gave them some leeway on that until they can find their place. The other person in my party actually puked all over our table(it wasn’t busy at the time and we were located in the back corner of the restaurant) and it was pretty bad. He wasn’t mad or anything and just smiled to let us know that«these things happen». The location is good, in a quiet area in Winthrop and the atmosphere was great. I loved the color of the walls, the placement of the photos and the candles lit about. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll definitely be coming back here for dinner sometimes.

First of all, I am so happy for the owner of Alia(Said) that he was able to open a second restaurant in Winthrop. Alia is one of my favorite local dining spots, and they do most everything right, so I really hope that Rustic Table is a success. We wanted to check it out for dinner, but since we have a toddler in tow, we were sure to get there pretty early(5ish) to avoid crowds and otherwise potentially uncomfortable scenarios that could come up when your dining partner enjoys dipping her fingers in the bread oil. It was pouring outside, so we didn’t get much of a chance to assess the atmosphere through the windows — but we did notice from our cursory glance that it looked slightly fancy. We went in and saw Said, and expressed our concern, but he assured us that it was totally fine for us. And when he led us around the corner, we were actually quite surprised by the size of the place. What is visible from the street is basically the bar, but then that leads into a much larger room with two levels of seating. We grabbed a nice table in the back(right by the French doors which open up onto a big porch — sure to be lovely in the warm weather). The server brought some warm bread and olive oil/olive dipping oil over(the same as is served at Alia) and took our drink orders. It’s nice that Rustic Table offers alcohol, since Alia is BYOB. The menu was varied, with several different apps(I noticed falafel, baked buffalo wings) and many seafood entrees. Our family is vegetarian, so we didn’t have much to choose from, but they were happy to accommodate. They offered to make us a veggie roll-up from the bar menu, so we got one of those, and they said we could get the lobster mac and cheese made vegetarian as well, so we got some of that as well. Everything was good, though I’m hoping that they have a few more meat-free options in the future. Winthrop is lucky to have so many fun dining establishments, and this is a great addition to the mix.
