Overall this waterpark is nice. It’s not the biggest one that we have ever been too, and the overall organization of it doesn’t seem to be laid out the best. But the kids enjoyed it. It seemed to have enough lifeguards and was staffed very well to make sure everyone was being watched. Which is nice to us parents of 11 year olds that don’t think it’s completely cool to hang out with mom and dad anymore. The bar for us adults was nice to kick back, watch some TV, and have some nice Hawaiian cocktails. The waitress was super friendly and made our drinks perfectly. Even the waiter that joined was very pleasant. I would think they would have someone cleaning up the areas after people left. There were towels laying all over the place and drink cups that looked like they had been left alone for some time, but no one was cleaning up. Granted the people that left them should clean up after themselves, but some people don’t and it made it hard for us to find chairs to use when they all look like they were occupied with used towels. Overall we had a good time, but not sure if we’ll come back with all the other options that are available elsewhere.

Oh Chula Vista. where do I begin. The water park was small, but seemed nice enough, until we started noticing how there was something wrong with just about everything. In the children’s splash area, there was a play net that was broken and just had caution tape strung around it. The Matador racing slide was displaying the middle lane as the winner the entire day. It was clearly not operating. But the real gem, the water coaster. I believe called The Flyin’ Mayan. How do I begin to outline this ride. well let me tell you, it is an experience, to say the least. I waited well over an hour to ride this ride. It seemed to be running smoothly the entire time I was in line, so I didn’t see a problem.(oh and during the wait I saw the nastiest, wet, filth built up next to the slide under the stairs to load the slide. It was truly disgusting. I’d have to assume it’s never cleaned) Until I rode. We got stuck. Yep. Our raft/dingy. whatever you want to call it got stuck in the middle of the ride? the worst part. it was stuck in one of the enclosed tube areas. Do you know how terrifying it is, to be stuck in a pitch black tube with running water? Unfortunately I can tell you. It sucks! My friend and I were well within the weight restrictions, so it was by no means our fault. We were lead out of the ride by an overworked and understandably grumpy worker who then carried the raft over to the entrance and he loaded the ride again. My friend and I sat and watched. We saw dozens of people get stuck all on various parts of the ride. The ‘lazy river’(I forgot what they named it) had so few tubes in it that I’d say 60−70% of the people in it were just tubeless. Why can’t this place provide adequate tubes? The cherry on top. When we were all done we visited the front desk to get some towels. I was told by the woman behind the counter that the towels were for the hotel guests only… What? Tell me how that makes sense. The towels are there only for people who have towels INTHEIRROOMS?! So after we paid to get in, we spent money on the arcade, we bought a snack, we were then told by the lady, «well, you can use the dryer for $ 2» We’ll never be coming here again. You couldn’t pay me to.

Don’t let them trick u into walking the 15 min to the gift shop. people will be selling some of eveything outside. Soo. This passes to this waterpark came free with our hotel. That should have been the first clue that it wasn’t the best water park in the Dells. Granted my 4-year-old daughter had a bunch of fun, but my fiancé didn’t. He was bored out of his mind. They had some decent slides but that was about it. We spent about 3 hours walking around in a circle in the wave pool. Granted my daughter enjoyed it. But it got old really fast! Although we had passes to go every day of the trip we only went once. We honestly had more fun in the pool at the hotel.

The waterpark is pretty small, but I can only speak to the indoor one. However, going at 9pm is great, since there are zero lines. You just have to deal with climbing the three flights of stairs for each ride. Ok, I guess there was one line for the longer ride. The splash pad areas are pretty small and congested. I think there are better water parks in the area, maybe even Keylime is better. But there is some benefit to having the indoor walkway from the connecting resort.

If this place had been crowded during our stay, we might have been disappointed. That said, the week before Labor Day was perfect for quick lines and 90 degree temps. Due to a mere 42″ height requirement, our 5 yr old could go on EVERY slide and had an amazing time. As far as she could tell, it didn’t get any better than this. In fact, this was the first amusement-type park where she didn’t experience some rejection for being a shorty. All the while, it was clear that the lifeguards were really focused on keeping the kids safe. From a selfish teenage thru adult perspective, there are bigger and better parks available. Of course, I’ll do anything short of cliff-diving and base-jumping and this place lacks the WOW factor of wrongful death lawsuit magnets like a giant wave pool full of sharks. My wife, on the other hand, was a little uneasy about 2 of these slides and happily kept to the tamer ones. End of the day, if you get a good value for your stay and it’s not the last trip of your lifetime… Lost Rios at Chula Vista ain’t half bad.

Pictures make the place look bigger. Water park is average at best. Wave pool is a joke.
