Amazing dinner spot when you’re looking to splurge a bit. Dinner and drinks was about $ 150 for 2. Worth every cent, though. Great atmosphere and delicious food!

We met two friends there last night. Service in the bar was great. That’s about where the good experience ends. We all placed our orders at the table and after a great salad our orders arrived… well, most of them. My wife’s filet took another 15 minute to get there. In the meantime, I noticed that my bone-in ribeye looked different but I tried it and it was a pork chop. It was not dark like a cooked ribeye with a tasty crown around the edge, it was golden brown with a glaze on top and it tasted like pork… with a bit of a fishy aftertaste. It cut like pork… light on the inside… not warm red or pink on the inside. Others at the table tasted it and came to the same conclusion. I grew up in the meat department of my father’s store. I know the difference between a pork chop and a ribeye. The server denied that it was pork as did the guy who seated us. A bit of the twilight zone happening here. They took it away and I ordered the filet instead. Can’t go wrong there, right? It took 25 minutes to receive that. Since everyone at the table was finished, I refused the steak out of total disappointment in the entire process and, to their credit they took it off the bill. We had leftovers bagged up with special instructions to save my wife’s bernaise sauce. We got home and they didn’t include the bernaise!!! Totally opposite experience from our previous visit! Never again!

I’ve been here several times. Always a good experience, with great steaks and seafood. The bar area is a nice casual place to chill before dinner. The service was excellent except it took a while for our food to come out. One night I had the surf and turf, 8oz filet and 1lb Australian Lobster and second night 2 lb Australian lobster. Everything tasted amazing. We had blue point oysters and the amazing bacon as Apps. Dam they were good! They had my favourite wine Silver Oak Napa. Great time!

Amazing service, delicious menu, enormous portions, crazy sized prime rib — very very good! Only gripe with prime rib was no aujus or real horseradish

DON’T COMEHEREIFYOUHAVEKIDS! My mom, my husband, my 1-year old son made a reservation at Kaminiski’s for dinner. We were enjoying our dinner until the manager approached us and said«Is there anything we can get for your son? We have customers complaining about his noise». I was like«no, he’s fine he’s just a baby». My son was not crying at all, he was just babbling just as 1-year olds do. The manager spoiled our appetite. We were looking forward to dessert, but just asked for the check because I felt uncomfortable. Our waitress was great and felt bad when she found out. This is supposed to be a family restaurant, so I don’t see what the issue was. My husband and I been coming to this restaurant since 2010, and always left feeling happy. Too bad things have changed…

My son and I were at the Dells for one night and he had just driven 8 hours from Detroit and wanted good steak. Unilocal narrowed the choice to 3 places. We needed a 9:30pm Friday night reservation and this was one of the few places that would take a reservation that late. Warning this place is outside of town and Garmin sent me on a strange route — past the resort and backtracking. When we arrived the dining room was empty(it was 9:30 pm) but the hostess suggested we dine in the back bar area as they had live music. I’m glad we did that. We sat in a large comfortable booth and It was cozy and fun. There was only a few others eating at 10pm but they had a piano player and an older gentleman that played a mean saxophone. We ate oysters on ½ shell to start and they were yummy with a nice tangy seafood sauce. We both ordered the surf&turf special for $ 49. Filets were done perfectly. The lobster was«ok». Nothing against this restaurant but in general I find it hard to get decent lobster in the Midwest. The salad is mixed to order at your table — selecting from every topping you can imagine — and that was awesome. In summary this place is spendy but had excellent food, classy ambiance and superior service. The live jazz in the back area combined with the signature salad would bring me back there again when I was in the mood for a high end meal.

Ate at KCH last Saturday evening. As good as the«Best». I’ve tried many high end steak houses. The only difference was I was in «Da Dells». From the Maitre d’ to the busboy, the staff were Wisconsin Wonderful(At Luger’s in NYC they made me feel like I was the busboy). I ate next to a guy wearing a camouflage baseball cap, a flannel shirt & Levi’s, which made me feel naturally at home in my shorts & hoodie. The«come as you are» environment is so comfortable, even so, KCM is quite chic. Made me feel more welcome. The prime rib was enough for a family of 5. Not just huge, but delicious. My Wife’s rib-eye on the bone, Wow! Not a cheap meal, but what a value. What a treat. Maybe no place like it anywhere. I’ll will return.

Wow! Is this place expensive! The food was just ok, definitely not worth the price. The food reminded me of taking cheap meat and spicing it up, like putting fancy touches on it or excessive stuff in the potatoes same with the dessert. But you just can’t hide cheap nasty food with a nice ce ambiance or a good waiter and glitz and glam on your food! I want real, organic food! Not frozen and not from terrible animal farms where the animals aren’t even allowed to eat real food or see the light of day. So no I don’t recommend this place!

I was there last month but first some reason my review did not go through. I’d like to start first by saying that this place has a great reputation however my experience here was nothing but horrendous I love dining at trendy and fancy places and this place is nothing as described I give the food at 3 stars the staff 1 star and the drinks five star. They were just being rude also there was a fly in my drink and when I asked the waiter to replace it he did so and the next class that he brought me the flight was on the bottom and it was dead great service I guess. This place is low standards stay away

My family loves going to the chop house. The steaks are wonderful and sides are served family style. If staying at Chula they are great for coffee drinks before bed. Try the Keoke!

What a fun night! For an appetizer we shared the jumbo shrimp cocktail — they are huge! For my entrée, I ordered the Petite Steak Oscar style medium. I loved it. The lump crab and accompanying sauce was spot on! I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish it all, but I did — haha! The sides are massive and are made to be share between several people. This is probably the best steak house in Wisconsin Dells. If you are staying at the Chula Vista Resort and would like to have a nice dinner, this is the spot! While you can bring children, this is definitely more of an adult place to dine. The restaurant has big glass windows which creates a nice view of the sun setting behind nearby pines.

This is a unique place. Our waitress was very friendly. Some would enjoy how attentive the staff was. Keeping our drinks filled and taking things as soon as we were done with them. We didn’t so much like it. It was too much. One guy tried to take our son’s plate while he was still eating. The polite thing would have been to ask if there was anything he could take, not just grab stuff. They also didn’t get our steak cooked right. Something you don’t expect to deal with at a place like this. We liked the overall uniqueness. Not your everyday restaurant experience. Our server brought out actual meat cuts to show us and explained their aging process. You don’t really order an individual meal for each person here. Our family of four shared the bone-in ribeye, an order of mashed potatoes and broccoli. We finished the meat but only ate a small portion of the potatoes, and only one head of broccoli(out of three, I think). The salad was amazing and the table bread was great too. We also had cheesecake. I think it was almost half the entire cheesecake. Soooo much food! *Tip* Although there may not be an actual dress code for this place, it is a very nice place. Something more than flip flops is appropriate.

Horrible Sevice! Food is mediocre at best but way too pricey! Freshly table side assembled salad is good; blue cheese was delicious! What is up with the rickety wooden floors? The rolling food carts on those floors really ruins the experience!

My husband and I decided to take one night out for ourselves while we came to the Dells for vacation with our three kids. We searched for a place with great food and a nice, quiet atmosphere. We called ahead for a reservation, which was not a problem. When we arrived, the restaurant was a little bit hard to find because you have to go up the elevator to the top floor. The menu was strange to me because you could not order a table enhancer without an entrée. For example, my husband just wanted a lobster tail with a couple of sides for his meal, however, he would have needed to order an entrée also because only the one pound lobster tail was available as an entrée, nothing smaller. I am a vegetarian, otherwise I would have helped him eat it. I ended up with the table-side salad, mashed potatoes and asparagus. He had the 8 oz fillet, table salad and shared my sides. He said that his fillet was cooked to perfection and we both said that we could eat the salad every, single day and never get sick of it. The service was GREAT, fast, peaceful and perfect! My husband was really disappointed in the fact that he didn’t get the lobster since that’s why we chose the restaurant. If not for this fact, I would have rated 5 stars. We will go back when/if we return to the Dell’s!

Bring from Chicago, I have been to dozens of steakhouses, but none of them were as pleasant as KBCH. Our waiter welcomed us and took care of us the entire time. He was great with checking up on is, making suggestions and made us the best salad I ever had. I can’t wait to come back here in the summer. Oh yeah, the steaks were amazing.

I wanted to like this place but really didn’t live up to the hype for me. For the price I paid it did not live up to similar high end steak houses that I have been to for about the same price range. Service was excellent, friendly staff that gives prompt service. They did a great job of engaging us in causal talk. Nice to talk to real people enjoying their job. Table side salad was great, they do a wonderful job on making the salad your way with quality ingredients. The side dishes are ridiculously big and out of portion for 1 – 2 people, I get that you like giving huge portions, but when I was in college and broke never did I take a tray of spinach & mushroom gratin and mashed potatoes back to my dorm when it was free, so not really too hyped about over paying for a 2 for $ 20 for mediocre side dishes portioned out for 10 people. I get it that its a gimmick, but when 2 people go there its a little much. The steaks are prime cut that is dry aged. The one i got was a little nutty on half the portion which can happen due to the process, the other half was better though. The flavor for me was not there for being a prime cut, dry aged steak. I can excuse the nutty since it is dry aged and stuff happens, but the seasoning and preparation wasn’t there. Great cuts of steak, but the flavor needs to be a little better if you are charging a high price. Cheesecake was pretty good, had a nice rich flavor and priced about right for the large portion size, you can share this with a few people if needed. So the atmosphere is touristy so you are going to get people with lots of kids and perhaps in resort apparel. This is a «high end» place but I don’t think it lived up to that billing. Its a little gimmicky to impress tourists, and sometimes tourists are too easily impressed…

From the presentation of the meats prior to our meals, to the preparation of our salads right at the table, to the96oz double porterhouse aged to perfection then sliced for us… this place is to notch. Want to impress someone or even propose, it’s a show stopper highly classy but you can wear what you want as it is on a resort. Everything is large in portion, as it’s meant to be shared

Hidden in the icy reaches of far off central Wisconsin — this may be the best steak house I have EVER eaten at! My wife, daughter, and I, stumbled upon this place quite by accident in the dead of winter. It had exactly the homey, old world, old wood and moose-head over the fireplace feel that we needed to feel safe from the ten foot snowbanks outside. But we never expected what we got. First off — Kaminski Brother’s uses only dry aged meat. Most top shelf steak places like Morton’s and Ruth Chris’, uses wet aged beef. The difference is simple. Wet aged steaks are stored fresh in vacuum sealed packs and allowed to sit in a cool place until the molecules begin to turn and the process of decomposition starts to occur. This tenderizes and cures the meat, giving it a smokey, slightly buttery and nutty flavor. I will take wet aged meat over fresh meat any day of the week. However — we mere mortals have no access to aged beef. This is handled in back room deals by top meat brokers only to top restaurants. So the beef we get at the supermarket is only half way there. But Dry Aged beef is a whole different story. For that one needs a huge cooler — and lots of hooks. The steaks are prepped and hung, often for a long long time. Eventually certain chemical processes occur, which ripen the meat and begin the process of decomposition. This creates far more flavor and tenderness than during the wet aged process. When it comes time to serve the meat the entire huge chunk is nothing but black and green moldy crust. Then, the expert butcher at the restaurant cuts away the rotted outside, revealing a bright red center of aged to perfection steak. That is what they cook. Half of the steak ends up in the garbage. But that is what makes the rest of the steak SOOOO good. Kaminski Brother’s offers one more absolutely amazing and rare thing — a bone-in dry-aged filet mignon. I had never even heard of that before(and I have been eating aged steaks for years). Filets are usually so tender already — that no one ever ages them. And they certainly do not serve them bone-in(which gives any steak a lot more flavor). But at Kaminski’s, a handful of the filets were dry-aged, so I got it. That piece of meat was the single most delicious and tender steak I have ever had. Other things at Kaminski’s are good too — big baked potatoes, great shrimp cocktail, King Crab Legs on the side, delicious spinach, and amazing breads and salads. But — my God — the Steak… this is the meal I want in heaven… the meal I could eat forever.

I hate to say it, but Kaminski’s did not live up to the hype for my husband and I. We visited there tonight to celebrate our 1-year anniversary with the hopes of a nice steak dinner; however, the best thing about our night was the service provided by our server, Oana and our bottle of wine. We drove from the West suburbs of Chicago for an exciting Dells weekend and read all the reviews for the best rated restaurants in the Dells and both came across Kaminski’s. We did not order an appetizer, since we knew the garbage salad was coming. The salad was okay but definitely was not«amazing». There was nothing that stood out about it aside from it being prepared table side. We ordered a bottle if the Sawbuck Malbec, and it was actually very good and smooth. My husband ordered a special for the night– the 8 oz. filet with an 8 oz. lobster tail. I ordered the 8 oz. petite filet with the Parmesan crust. Both of our steaks were cooked well, although my husband had just a bit of gristle. I was very happy to see that after reading all the reviews of the side dishes being absolutely gigantic, they had a new option to the menu where you can do «Sides for 2» and order two of the sides for $ 20 portioned for two people. Still, the portions were slightly large, however, not the size of others we had seen. We got the asparagus and mushroom risotto. The asparagus was steamed well and had a great hollandaise sauce. The risotto tasted like a half cooked piece of rice with no flavor. Very sad because I’m a huge risotto fan. Ambiance… When I go to a chop house with $$$$, I expect a certain atmosphere/environment/experience. I will note that our dinner reservations were at 6:30pm(reservations weren’t even needed at that time) and there was about ¼ of the tables with guests, several children and 99% of the guests wearing sandals, beach t-shirts, and jeans. After reading«dressy» on their listing, my husband and I were decked out in a dress/button-up shirt and tie. We were definitely out of place. Our server, Oana; however, was attentive. She paid attention to is stating it was our anniversary upon meeting us and surprised us with a delightful dessert almost the size of our wedding cake. This was a huge brownie slice with ice cream, chocolate hot fudge and caramel. …amazing! We also very much enjoyed a cute little man walking around playing the violin. All-in-all, this may be one of the nicer restaurants in the Dells, but it definitely was NOT worth the $ 165 bill(without tip) for two people with the expectation of something«else».
