Great food and Chicago style to boot. The customer service was great and we make it a must stop when in the Dell’s!!!

Really wanted to rank this 4 stars for the excellent service & small town friendliness, but the food didn’t match the same level. Although, the building is dated, we welcomed the mom & pop feel. The dining area was clean. We much appreciated the friendliness of the owners & prompt service. Much of the food advertised were Chicago specialties. Unfortunately, we’re from Chicago & we tasted the difference. Nothing bad, just not quite as great. The hot dogs were vienna’s so they had those right. The Italian beef however was made with green peppers rather than giardiniera or hot peppers & reminded me more of a Philly than Italian beef. Mozzerella sticks were the same as you’d find anywhere in the US & the cheese curds were soggy. Those were a real disappointment considering Wisconsin is known for it’s cheese. I know they’re fried but these harbored considerable greasiness & little crisp. The marinara sauce & ranch dressing were packaged rather than fresh. I did enjoy the Gyros. Hoped for a local gem but it was mediocre & overpriced much the same as other Dells restaurants. The friendliness though, top notch. Wish I could rank this 3.5 stars.

The couple working I assumed were the owners were very nice, the food was good and they fixed it just the way I wanted. The train whistle for when our order was up was fun and unique!

The hot dogs are safe. You can’t mess up Vienna. The burgers are disgusting! My son is gluten free so we ordered a bunless burger. The meat was gray and runny. Eww! I didn’t let him eat it. He was able to eat the fries, they were good. I made him a gluten free pizza that I packed in a cooler when we got back to our resort. My husband had the burger as well. He threw up when we got back to our room. This place should be a simple hot dog joint. You could tell the burger patties are old and have been in the freezer for years in bulk.

Easily this best food in the Dell’s. I am from Chicago and this is the best Chicago style Hot Dog that I have had in years.
The owners Dave and Mary are wonderful. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They take pride in their establishment and it shows. There is a reason they have been in been in business for 21 years.

This place is a blast from the past. Extremely friendly service and the Italian beef is excellent. While the feeling is old school, the place is a hidden gem if you are in the Wisconsin dells area. I would recommend this place over any of the big chain restaurants around the area.

Great fries and the burger was average but this place is run by classic penny pinchers. The food is horribly overpriced and worse of all, they charge $.60 for a refill!

There are not a lot of nearby options for food by Wilderness Hotel and Resort. This fit my wallet and taste options. Fuck Moosejaws food. And other overpriced food nearby. This fit my desires.
