Note: This review is for the goods, and not the experience or venue, but those weren’t bad. Anyway… Nomnomnom!!! I’m totally picky about chocolate. Hershey’s? No thanks! Swiss Maid knows where it’s at. They have the milkiest milk chocolate that tastes like it’s straight out of Europe. And their overly decorated caramel apples are amazing. Don’t ever change. I’ll be back for you Swiss Maid Fudge. In the meantime, you’ll be in my dreams.

I have been here before, but during summer. We stopped for some treats on our way home from MN. So far, tasted the taffy. Sadly, it is hard and dry. I hope the fudge will be better! Perhaps this us due to off-season sporatic cooking. Not sure, but still disappointed.

Customer service is exceptional. I chose this spot out of all of the other fudge shops in WI Dells because of the Unilocal rating. You were right. They are great!

So in a previous review I talked about how the fudge was not really fresh. I was then contacted by Jane who offered to send me replacement fudge because of their satisfaction guaranteed policy. About 4 days I got the replacement fudge(m&m, peanutbutter cup, smores, coconut cream pie) and she added an extra flavor(chocolate and vanilla marble). Let me tell you about this fudge… What a difference! It was delicious! It was fresh and fudgy. My mom and I had the entire box in a week. Delicious, delicious, delicious! And Swiss Maid Fudge has amazing customer service. I would order more fudge from here. Definetly!

I originally Unilocaled Swiss Maid Fudge with 3 stars, and that same day I was contacted by the company. I certainly didn’t expect any sort of response — so I was floored. They wanted me to give them a 2nd chance, and since I am 2.5 hours away and don’t regularly get up to the Dells, they sent me a pound box of fudge in an assortment of 4 flavors(my choice!). It arrived UPS today(keep in mind my original Unilocal review was done on 1/21, and here it is 1⁄25 and I already have my new fudge), and I allowed it to sit and become room temperature as it was cold from riding around on the UPS truck before it made it to my home. My husband and I just sat down to taste them, and let me tell you, I didn’t even get the fudge unwrapped and I could already tell the difference between this and the fudge we originally bought. Clearly my original purchase wasn’t the freshest, as it was very dry and crumbly(both varieties we bought), and the 4 I selected this time were all just as I would expect fudge to be. At any rate — the fudge was superb. It didn’t crumble apart when I cut it. It was perfectly… fudgey. The varieties we got this time were Rocky Road, Snickers, Peppermint Patty(a seasonal variety) and Sea Salt Caramel. I am updating now to reflect 5 stars because this round of fudge is just as I expect fudge to be, and because of OUTSTANDING customer service. These days that is hard to come by. The next time we’re in the Dells, I will definitely stop by and make a purchase. Thank you, Swiss Maid Fudge, for going above & beyond and making it right. My only suggestion is to make sure that pre-boxed fudge is constantly being kept fresh … because honestly, the difference in the freshness from my first purchase to this is absolutely astounding!

Yum, yum, yum! So freaking good. Expensive, but good! I bought two candy apples and some different kinds of chocolate, and my total was $ 18. I got the Rocky Road apple and one covered in caramel, something white, and cinnamon sugar. The chocolates I bought were the haystack, chocolate covered oreos, and some toffee covered in chocolate. All of it is amazing. These are seriously delicious apples and the chocolate is wonderful!

This was the first Fudge store we came across on the Downtown strip, so this is the one we went into. In my opinion, we should’ve waited. It was kind of chaotic in there when we went, but I don’t think that can be an excuse for the poor customer service. It seemed like a couple of the ladies behind the counter were really bitchy, and kinda rude. We kept trying to get help, and then they’d get distracted and help someone else… SEVERAL times. Ridiculous. Then I was asking a question about freshness, and how long the pre-packaged fudge had been pre-packaged for, and the lady was a bitch about it. On top of being bitchy, none of them had hair-nets or anything, which seems wierd to me since they’re preparing and serving food. But, I purchased anyways. LOL. I just tried the fudge for the first time today(a day later), and it’s REALLY chewy. It is not like any other fudge I’ve had before. Kinda yucky. Not a fan. Save your money. Stop for fudge on the edge of town.

Please do yourself a favor and skip the entire downtown. There’s a Carr Valley Cheese store… don’t skip that. But all the other places that say they make the best candy/fudge/caramel are full of it. This place is awesome. They did free samples, and it’s hard not to want all of it. It is pretty pricey, but it’s the Dells. The chocolate covered sponge candy was the best. The caramel were buttery good. Had one with marshmallow, which was good, prefer plain. I hate commercial peanut brittle, here I know they make it here, you can watch them! And it’s damn good. They have many types of brittle, which you can sample!
