One of the fancier places to eat in «the Rapids». Been there a few times over the last 5 years, and the food is good, the cocktails are well-made and the service is decent. A little pricey for the area, but not outrageous. Unfortunately, the«anti-gun» sign mentioned in one of the other reviews must be new and means I will not be supporting this business any longer.

ive been here a few times, they have a limited menu which consists mainly of sandwiches and I didn’t care for most of them. My husband and I had dinner a few times as well, my first steak was chewy and his was good, the second time his was chewy and mine was great, go figure! My potatoe looked as if it had been sitting around awhile and the same old vegetables aren’t quite cooked all the way. The soups are good and the salads very skimpy. The prices aren’t cheap just so you know. I never seem to get a friendly waitress, maybe it’s all that running up and down the stairs. They have mostly pub tables and stools which are very uncomfortable and if you can’t walk up stairs make sure you make a reservation because they only have a couple of tables on the main floor.

I think this place is a little-known gem. I have never had a bad meal here and the service is very friendly. Highly recommended!

Décor. 5 stars Food. 3 stars. Friendliness. 1 star. Décor was really neat. Real touch of class and impeccably clean. Sort of a place where you can get time and space for a great conversation. Great music: 60−70s blend. I had Split Pea & Ham soup. It was made there on site and very fresh. In looking at the ordering options it had thought about getting a burger or sandwich but oddly enough, side items were al la carte. Even on a burger! That’s just inexcusable. Better to build the side item into the price instead of feeling gouged; after all, who wants a burger or filet sandwich by itself? I noticed the evening entrée options were quite expensive. Like Ruth’s Chris level of price point. So just heads up on that. Can’t speak to the quality as I only had soup. I noticed a huge sign on the front door. The owner obviously doesn’t support the Second Amendment or a citizen’s right to defend themselves. It must be pretty important to the owner if he’s willing to put that size of a sign on the front door. Funny thing about people who don’t like guns: they never seem to mind at all when somebody saves or defends their life with a gun! Had I noticed that sign I would’ve walked away immediately. Now that could be his insurance agent forcing the issue. Still it’s his choice to post such a blatant sign. Customer service was a bit off to me. Many reviews mention great service. I didn’t see it. I’m from the South so it’s hard to beat southern charm. Our culture dominates that niche. I’d say the level of friendliness was maybe 3 on a 10 scale. The gentleman wasn’t rude, he just acted like he didn’t really care in the least that I chose to offer him my business. He could have just been off that day and that happens to everyone. Hate it because it’s the only impression I’ll ever have of a venue that honestly looks like a neat hometown attraction.

Every meal I have had so far at Andy’s has consisted of fresh, high-quality ingredients that were prepared with no apparent shortcuts, unlike far too many restaurants in the area. They have a sandwich selection for lunch, which I would rate as «OK». There are daily specials and usually I would recommend trying one of them. In my experience the specials have been creative and very tasty. My favorite at Andy’s is the beef tenderloin filet(dinner time only), which always seems to be prime quality, perfectly seared and cooked to medium rare(or rare if my wife is ordering). I think a lot of restaurants in the area use choice quality steaks but still charge prime rates. If high quality food is what you are looking for, you will not regret spending a few extra dollars at Andy’s.

This place is Wisconsin. If you looked up Wisconsin Bar in the dictionary, you would see a picture of Andy’s. Wisconsin motif, micro-brews & food. The Wisconsin cheese curds are not the one’s you get at Culver’s, they are un-f*cking-believeable, you have to order them. Andy is a great guy, very friendly and hands on. Definitely worth a stop in, not like there’s much else around anyway.

Ate lunch there today – wife ordered a burger that was slightly overcooked but tasted like beef, trimmings were standard. The special was turkey/ham club sandwich with fries – sandwich was ok but the toasted rye(?) bread wasn’t up to the challenge of the filling! Fries were of the battered type without much flavor. My bloody mary was loaded with garnish but anemic in the flavor dept! Nice relaxing place with a good selection of beers on tap where you can sit and enjoy pleasant surroundings Unfortunately management doesn’t support 2nd amendment freedoms

As a visitor to Wisconsin, who is native to a large city on the East Coast, I was very pleased with Andy’s! The food and service were excellent. However, what sets this place apart from other restaurants is their atmosphere. Andy’s is an adorable restaurant with a very cozy and pleasant ambiance. It is the type of place that you would enjoy on a date, with friends, or by yourself(as I dined by myself). The staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. If you don’t want to be engaged in conversation, they know to leave you alone,. However, if you find yourself alone and looking for someone to talk to(again, as I did) they are very friendly. I know the place hasn’t been open too long, but they could have fooled me. Very pleasant experience and highly recommend! I wish them the best of luck! I guess there are some good things in Wisconsin…

Andy’s is a small bar/pub in a converted house. The bar is the main level and they have tables for meals in the upstairs. The thing that set this place apart for me was the staff. Andy and everyone who works for him are beyond nice. The service was great in addition to their personalities. Andy seems like someone who really enjoys running his bar and really enjoys talking to the customers. They have a decent selection of beers and a good selection of cocktails. The best part about the cocktail selection is that they actually did a good job of making them. I didn’t try the food so I’m not sure how it is, but I would be surprised if it wasn’t good.

Good food. Nice specials. good beer & wine selection. Nice bartender & owner. Great attention to detail with decorating. The one thing was that fries were extra with a burger. But then again, how many of us need those extra calories eh?

I came into Andy’s on a Saturday afternoon with my parents to get a couple of drinks and food. When we walked in the place was pretty packed, and got progressively fuller as the minutes went by. There was a wedding at the hotel next door and that bar there wasn’t open yet so everyone flooded into Andy’s. There was only one employee for the ENTIRE place on a Saturday, which was odd, and the bartender was scrambling to keep his head afloat. Being a bartender, I know what it’s like to be weeded and know the steps to take to organize it and get out. This bartender did a great job, and even had someone come behind the bar and help him… which I probably would have done too. Also, I was the only one eating but I ordered the house chicken salad with some sort of vinaigrette dressing, it was all amazing. We’ll most likely come back. Ownership should probably plan ahead with weddings in the area and staff accordingly though.

I have been to Andy’s 2 times since he has opened in the Summer of 09. The first time I had the Guinness pot roast sandwich and it was great. The homemade horseradish sauce is what made it awesome. The inside of this place is cozy, warm and very inviting. You just want to sit around with your friends and enjoy some good eats. I will be going back.
