Went there for lunch on Monday, December 7, 2015. I had the Blackened Chicken Salad. This is the best blackening seasoning on the planet. Had it many times. Waitress was friendly and very observant of our table. Nice, cozy atmosphere with a friendly staff.

The food and wait staff service is awesome! Won’t go wrong with anything on the menu — I’ve tried just about everything. The one complaint — a bartender or two who like to chat up friends at the bar and let your empty glass stand for quite awhile. Gets a bit annoying. Don’t get me wrong — the bartenders (even the couple in question) are all friendly when they do wait on you, it’s getting their attention (again — when they are not busy) or getting them to refill even when they look directly at you and your empty glass.

Food here is pretty good, but inconsistant. I’ve had a tasty portobello sandwich one time (which is no longer on the menu) but another time it was dripping with grease. The salmon burger is delicious but so sloppy it’s hard to eat. I had a walleye sandwich which was a special. It was virtually taste-​free. Great beer cheese soup when it’s available. Service is generally ok. One waitperson, Jenny, is exceptionally friendly, attentive and efficient. Worth trying for lunch, especially if you like burgers.

Went here on a Friday night with a group of friends. For an appetizer we got cheese curds and the pretzel breadsticks. Both of the appetizers were delicious! For my entrée I got their cod fish fry. Everything that came with the fish fry meal was just «eh.» The fish was pretty flavorless. I tried my friends burger which was awesome though. Great place for your typical bar food, I just wouldn’t get the fish again.

What a great local joint to sit down have a great local beer and some grub. I’m in town on business from Chicago and a local mentioned this place to me. I have to say it was more than I ever expected. The bar girl was not only pretty but had amazing personality. The local beer I tried was amazing and nice and cold. I ordered the steak sandwich and by far the most tender steak sandwich I’ve ever eaten on a bun ever. The chips and dip was a great compliment over ordering fries. Just outside the bar is the river which is a nice serene look. Overall I’d say my visit to Wisconsin was a success. If you’re a local or passing by like myself, please stop in and give them a shot… A++

Easily the best burgers/​bar grub in the area – today swmbo had the brat burger with caramelized onions, sauerkraut on a pretzel roll – it was juicy and flavorful
I had blackened chicken breast served with tomatoes (fresh), onions, lettuce and a remoulade sauce — black and crispy, well seasoned and juicy! Plus fresh fried potato chips are served most sandwiches

Had the southwest black bean burger and it was terrific. Lots of stuff on the menu looked great. The service was friendly and quick. I really enjoyed the Atmosphere as well. Highly recommend.
