Miller’s Landing

Great location to launch kayaks and stand up paddle. Also close to campsite for replenishing ice. Good value.

My son and I rented a fishing boat here Sept 27 – 29, 2015. We were the only reservation on at this time. Miller’s offered a 33% off season special which we thought would work out great and a local guide had recommended Miller’s. When I mentioned the special the guy behind the counter gave me a half smile like I was trying to pull a fast one. Someone else corrected him and then we were charged correctly. I asked if they had seat cushions for the boats– he had no idea.
We went down to the dock and the dock attendant was very helpful. He supplied us with seats, life jackets everything we needed. The boats are outfitted with 10HP Honda 4 strokes which are usually very smooth. This motor ran quite a bit rougher than I expected and vibrated pretty loudly. It also was fairly difficult to start it too but according to the attendant it was the best boat they had. First day it took on so much water my shoes got soaked through. From that point on I wore my shower sandals in the boat and brought a cup to bail with me.
Attendant and wait staff at the snack bar were very helpful 5 stars. great service, great attitude.

Additional notes– the tackle selection is pretty minimal so make sure you bring what you need.
The décor and the interior of Miller’s is first class. Very nice place.
Prices are pretty steep for items at store so bring what you need ahead of time.
5 minute shower was $ 3. I thought that was a little expensive but they were clean and worked well.

En plein séjour à Yosemite, nous avons eu la chance d’être logés chez l’habitant à Oakhurst. La maison se trouvait à 5 minutes en voiture de Bass lake et nos hôtes nous avaient vivement conseillé de passer une journée au bord de ce lac. Le deuxième jour, nous y étions ! Manqué de chance, un grand incendie était en train de ravager les collines boisées alentour et les hélico et avions faisaient l’aller-retour pour remplir leur réservoir d’eau directement dans le lac. Nous avons donc filé chez Miller’s, toujours sur les bons conseils de nos hôtes, pour la pause déjeuner.
J’ai adoré ! Je me suis crue dans un camp de scout typiquement américain. J’avais presque l’impression d’avoir été envoyé en colonie de vacances ici. La grande maison en bois et sa terrasse avec vue sur le lac et la forêt y aidant grandement. Mais côté gourmand alors? Un club sandwich jambon/​cheddar pour moi avec des sweet potatoes chips (mon gros crush des vacances) et un très grand Mountain Dew. Le tout pour moins de 12 $ !

Love this resort! Our cabin was clean, updated with a beautiful view of Bass Lake. Café has yummy food and ice cream. Marina has excellent selection of rental boats and toys. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Just a short drive to Yosemite. Highly recommended this resort and Bass Lake.

Just checked in and couldn’t be happier! Cabin #10A is beautiful!!! We will be coming back every year! Also, plenty of water to enjoy the lake!

If you’re renting a boat for the day at Bass Lake, Miller’s staff is great. Nice people, got young people at the dock who don’t act their age. Very professional young people who are customer-​first all the way. I had a great experience renting a boat for the day with my family and had a great time. Easy-​to-​operate machinery with a staff that was patient and thorough. Good job, also had some nice eats while waiting for our boat. Can’t wait to go back to Bass Lake and check out rentals at Miller’s Landing again ASAP.

«The» place to take your shower while camping at Bass Lake. Yummy shakes and the place to rent your water toys: paddle boats, boats, kayaks. Friendly Staff and always clean.

This is my go to place for a good burger in the Oakhurst area. The burger is loaded with all the great ingredients you want. We love the order of half Onion Rings and half Fries. The have some of the best Onion Rings I’ve ever had.

Must have the Maui Melt! Service is always great, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I cost the lake every year, and no trip is complete without a trip to Millers!

My wife has been going to Bass Lake since she was born. I was lucky enough that she started bringing me nearly 10 years ago. This past week was our first time going just the two of us.
We decided to rent a boat on Thursday and went in Wednesday night to reserve one. We spoke with Brianna and came back the next day and she was there again. She was such a pleasure to deal with.
We rented the boat and completely no fault of Miller’s Landing, the lake was in the worst state that I have seen it since I started coming in 2006. But the boat made it much more enjoyable. Due to the current status of the lake we returned the boat a little early and Brianna adjusted the time without us even saying anything. I had fully expected I would be charged for 6 hours but we were only charged for 5.
We also returned for lunch in the middle of the day. The burger was very very good. The guys at the dock were super friendly and helpful as well.
The only thing I would mention is that I’m glad we did not want to BBQ. The outside of the BBQ on the boat looked pretty nasty. Maybe clean that?

I have been coming up to Bass Lake for many years (growing up) and this is the first year my husband and I decided to take a trip.
We rented a pontoon boat from them. Brianna was awesome! Our hotel had a coupon for bass lake rentals (pines resort) and we decided to see if millers would take it. Brianna said absolutely and we were happy to give our business to a family business instead.
We originally signed up for 6 hour rental but returned it early (by an hour) and she only charged us the 5 hour rate. Gas was a only 26.11 for us because we didn’t do too much driving around. We found a cove to just hang out in for the 5 hours.
The weather was so so with clouds (obviously not their fault).
The guys on the dock were friendly and went over all the rules and law of the lake.
Only negative I’d have to say would be the boat BBQ was obviously used before we rented the boat and they hadn’t cleaned it up. So cleanness wasn’t top notch. (But then again it’s a frickin boat)

For 30+ years we have enjoyed the ALWAYS friendly staff & owners at Miller’s. We’ve stayed in the awesome cabins, loved the hand made burgers & shakes and now the new menu with fish tacos! We’ve used the token showers when camping, rented «bananas» etc. It’s just a perfect lake fun resort. So nice to end the day with hand scooped ice cream, or a beer, they even have my favorite Firestones 805.

Another successful weekend away at Bass Lake! Millers Landing was the best this Memorial Weekend. Had a great cabin for the kids with a fantastic view of the lake. It is a three story cabin that sleep all 5 of us very comfortably. With a kitchen and nice big TV. Very clean cabin with a great view and patio. Campfire just outside the cabin was a lot of fun.
The restaurant has the best burgers on the lake. Had the fish tacos… was grilled swordfish… very yummy. Staff couldn’t be any nicer. This will be a yearly event for us. We will return soon! Thank you Millers Landing!

This restaurant is nice. Lake view. clean. Nice lady. We had the cheese burger, fries and onion rings. It was good! The onion rings were really good! Just some all around good american food. We would recommend this place.

My husband had a work conference about 40 minutes from Bass Lake but he grew up camping all over the lake area, so it holds a special place in his memories. I called late on a Thursday afternoon to see if they had accommodations for two, even though their smallest cabin sleeps six! Normally they have a two day minimum stay but they were very kind and waived it for us. The gentleman took our reservation with nothing more than a name and phone number which rarely happens this day in age!
When we arrived he remembered who we were, and had everything all ready for us. We ended up in the Pentwater cabin which has a view of the lake and was so charming that I had wished we were staying two days. There is something about having a full kitchen that makes a place feel a little more like home. My hubby and I shared a lovely bottle of wine that we stopped and picked up on our way in.
Morning came early at 6:30 am when I had to drive the hubby to the Pines Resort to meet some of his crew. Just as I was getting back to the cabin the sky opened up and it rained… and rained. and rained! I kept peeking out the window to see if the store/​diner had opened up so I could dash over for a cup of coffee. The rain kind of put a damper on my plan to entertain myself until my husband got done at 4 pm, so I asked if I could have a late check-​out. Noon was the best they could offer me, but it bought me an extra hour of staying dry so I happily obliged.
The staff is super friendly and the grounds are just beautiful. I hardly noticed how low the lake was! It is the kind of place where the whole family can just hang out and have a great time. Very relaxing atmosphere and the cabin was immaculate. Can’t wait to visit this little gem of a Resort again.

Burgers are excellent, had the grilled cheese, pulled pork, chili cheese fries. All GREAT. Nice view upstairs too

I didn’t know how to rate this place, it’s more sad than bad. The drought has really done a doozy on the lake and it felt like a ghost town. Pray for rain. I feel bad for the retailers here and hope there is more rain so we can come back and go kayaking some day.

Rented a boat here for a bachelorette party, very impressed!
Our options were slim, since many of the other rental place’s dock were on land due to low water levels, we picked Miller’s Landing based off of online reviews.
Staff was patient, and had a great sense of humor. Prices were great.
A big thank you to the staff working that day (Sorry, didn’t catch names).

My family comes out here pretty much every year for our family reunion and we love it here! We aren’t really avid campers so this is close enough for us and it’s far from any old little tent in the woods, it’s «glam»!
They have made numerous improvements adding even more incentive for us to keep on returning with an expanded restaurant and bigger and better «cabins»! We always get the première «cabins» which arent really cabins. They are 3 story houses! Love it! The resort itself has one of the best foodie places around bass lake, I love their onion rings! Perfectly battered with such great flavor! I also love how they serve ice cream, yum!
This resort also offers many water sport activities to enjoy on your vacation! My boo really enjoyed the wave runners, as did I, it’s always been my favorite! Also I love kayaking around the lake! Amazing views!
Overall, this place is a true gem, perfect for a getaway from the city life :)
I wish they had a pool or jacuzzi to enjoy for the evenings, then it would be 5 stars for sure!

After a few wrong turns and lots of doubting there was actually any kind of recreational area near Bass Lake, we finally arrived at Miler’s Landing.
Cute spot to rent a boat, pick up some souvenirs for your family members you left at home, or cool down with an ice cream.
There were rentals for: patio boats, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and fishing boats. Though I’ve never been inspired to re-​enact «Deadliest catch», nor did we have any fishing gear, we decided that the fishing boat would be the best option for us.
The fishing boat cost about $ 20 per hour.
Good price for an hour’s worth of fun and a life lesson learned– There are two types of people in this world: Ones who can operate a fishing boat, and ones who shouldn’t be allowed to operate fishing boats… ever. I fall into the second classification. (Needless to say, my boyfriend was steering for 90% of the time).All boat steering inabilities aside, we had a great time! Bass Lake was beautiful. Hope to make it back sometime soon.
