Love their salads and they always let me customize mine with out a problem. One time they forgot my chicken probably because I had so many modifications and I had to drive back from work to pick it up. They gave me a card for a free lunch which was super sweet and unnecessary but much appreciated. Also, their tuna is amazing! Love picking up from there for lunch!

Outstanding! Went there today because my boyfriend isn’t feeling good and iI Unilocaled«chicken noodle soup» for possible nearby places serving high rated CNS. Thanks to other helpers I found this little gem in Woburn! The blonde woman behind the desk was amazing! She was helpful with my questions and steered me to use the flatbread for my steak and tip sub. The ordering was easy and the wait was minimal. The steak tip sub was out of this world! My boyfriend said the soup was five stars as well. I can’t wait to go back here and try one of the salads! Thanks Unilocalers for the great lunch spot!

I work literally next door. Best clam chowder around. I have gone across the state and have had the chowder in many places, but this one is so thick and has so many clams in it. The sandwiches are amazing as well its a must go!

One of the salesmen at the office was feeling a bit under the weather and wanted a nice bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch. I quickly Googled«Best Chicken Noodle Soup Burlington» and David’s World Famous in Woburn ranked at the top of my search results. We got a bit lost getting to the eatery since it’s tucked away in a heavily industrial/commercial on Commerce Way. It was quite the«hidden gem» alright! We arrived to a small shop with 6 – 7 tables and a window to place your order. The menu featured regular deli meat lunch staples along with unique items like Chinese Duck Breast, Grilled Shrimp sandwiches and a Middle Eastern Falafel Roll-Up. They also have Sriracha Hot Sauce as one of their«spreads». I thought that was so awesome! My favorite part was that they offered soup and sandwiches combos for a FRACTION of the price you would pay at Panera. Maybe I’m wrong, but I always feel like I spend so much money at Panera. At David’s World Famous, a cup of soup and ½ sandwich it was $ 7.45 and for a bowl of soup and ½ sandwich it was $ 7.95. The ½ sandwich options included: Roast Beef Turkey Breast Caprese Homemade Chicken Salad Tuna Salad Although the soup is on a rotation basis, I looked ahead for the rest of the week and it seemed to remain«Grandma’s Chicken Noodle» and«New England Clam Chowder.» I went with the soup and sandwich combo. Since we drove here to get the«Best Chicken Noodle Soup» I had to try a cup along with my roast beef on fresh baked French baguette. Ira, my coworker, went with the bowl version of the soup and a side of Hand Cut French Fries. We both agreed that the soup was indeed delicious. There were ample white chicken meat and the flavor and seasonings were perfect. I loved the large chunks of carrots and celery in the homemade stock. Unlike most restaurant soup, it was not too salty. The roast beef sandwich and hand cut fries were also great. As we were finishing up our meal, the eatery got packed with professionals within the area. At one time, there were no seats available and people stood as they waited for their orders and for a table to clear up. I will definitely be back with my other coworkers and try everything else on the menu. We also do lots of corporate catering at my work place so I will definitely inquire about Dave’s next time.

I worked in Woburn for 3 years and there’s not many options during lunch. But this place is a hidden gem, seriously hidden in a small business park. Like most places, this spot gets crowded around lunch. There’s table seating inside, but if you have a big group, try coming before the rush. I’ve noticed that many people that frequent this joint do phone in orders and take it to go. My favorite– the Cilantro Soy Glazed Salmon. NOMNOM. Good flavors and loving the sauce. Get it with a side of sweet potato fries. Good enough size for sharing. But if you are really staring, maybe sharing is not an option.

I’ve been going to David’s WF since 2001 and I always order the exact same thing. Turkey on a french roll with lettuce, tomato, onion, sprouts, cucumber, and yellow mustard with a large chicken noodle soup. This is my «comfort food» lunch spot if I don’t go out with co-workers. They use real food, no deli meat garbage. The only downside is the wait time… Sometimes I have called in orders and they tell me 10 – 15, I show up 20 min later and I still have to wait. I’ve learned to ignore their estimate and just go 20 min later. I don’t think I’d want to order and eat inside. It’s a small place, do the take out! It’s so good but it’s one of those places you either love or hate. My co-workers are not fans but I love it.

Ya, A-OK is a good description. The clam chowder is great, but the sandwiches are only so/so — nothing to write home(or Unilocal) about. The grilled chicken Cesar salad is great… The UNfriendly service is what turns me off most. WTF people? Your a deli in an industrial park… turn on a smile from time to time!!! How hard is it to smile when your getting well over $ 10 per person for lunch!!! I’ll stop before I change my review to 2 stars…

Ah David’s… Ordering lunch is like a game of roulette. Sometimes they get it right and most of the time they get it wrong. When you make them aware of the mistake they are always very nice in offering a free lunch for a future visit. But it’s so frustrating when you run out to pick up your lunch and get back to the office and realize your order is completely wrong! Grandma’s «award winning» chicken soup is just ok. Pretty skimpy on the chicken. It’s more like Grandma’s carrot noodle soup. However, breakfast sandwiches are excellent.

David’s World Famous, is first of all, not world famous. It may be neighborhood famous but that’s about the extent of their fame. What blowhard goes and give his own little shitty sandwich shop in an office park the title of «World Famous.» Now that that is out of the way, lets discuss their absolute lack of attention to detail and the fact that if you make the mistake of ordering from here there is a better than 80% chance your entire order, or a large part of it will be wrong. not just missing some dressing COMPLETLEY, NOTEVENCLOSETOBEINGRIGHT, wrong. For example, your order a grilled chicken wrap with several items on it. You will get chicken in a wrap, just chicken in a tortilla. Bullshit. Who would order that and if you received that order in the kitchen would you check its validity? I sure would. You are probably thinking, «Wow this guy had a bad experience.» No, I have had 2 years worth of bad experiences. They absolutely suck! My company orders lunches from here regularly, up until we just couldn’t take it anymore. They have been removed from the lunch rotation. We made the mistake of ordering there today after a long break. Wow that was a mistake. All screwed up, 8 items almost half were wrong. They are slow,(hour + for 6 sandwiches or so) incompetent, and almost always get it wrong. The sad part is the food if it is right actually is good. That’s probably why they are still in business, they just play the numbers because of the lack of competition they can afford to be lazy and screw their customers knowing they don’t have any decent options. Lastly, it says clearly on their website that the owner David welcomes inquiries and comments. I wrote him a long email many many months ago, detailing the pains of ordering food from his restaurant with zero response. Leadership comes from the top. When it is clear when an owner doesn’t care about the service he provides why would we have any different expectations from his staff? There is no finer example of this than David’s World Famous. Never again will I give them a dime of my money.

For a non-descript building, with little ambiance. The quality of the food here is exceptional. The ingredients are fresh. The turkey is real sliced turkey breast not a turkey loaf from a deli. The bread and rolls are home made. The vegtables are fresh. Soup is all home made. They don’t do anything super complicated, they do simple really high quality sandwiches and salads.

I have come here often, and my company caters from them almost once a month. Now I normally get a salad, usually the bistro. On occasions my salad is perfect, the right amount of toppings, I always ask for no cheese and no problems there. BUT on other occasions, NOTHING is right about the salad, for example: I ask for no cheese, there is cheese on it. Another issue was they barely put walnuts or chickpeas or there are two tiny grape tomatoes in the whole salad! My recent issue, there were no beets in the salad, when it normally does, and the menu clearly states this. I called and complained about this one and they happen to run out, but they neglected to tell me this while I sit there in front of them waiting for my salad?! least you can have the decency to say sorry to let you know we’ve run out of this item, would you like us to substitute it? and I get nothing! Since I called and complained, and had to speak to 2 different people about it, and mention that this isn’t the first time they screwed up my very simple order they told me they’ll pay for it next time, just ask for a specific person there. So we’ll see if that happens. I’m sure I’ll be back here. lets hope it’s a good occasion.

All I need to say is that I love picking up my lunch here! Nothing could be easier than randomly picking something off Dave’s menu and never be disappointed! The kitchen staff is always on their toes to please the customer’s tastebuds. I always call ahead and within 5 minutes my food is ready to pick up! It’s the fastest and most efficient lunch place in Woburn! Five stars and a delicious lunch hour!

While the extent of my globe-trotting is fairly modest, I have been to Europe and Canada. Curiously enough, while abroad, nary a soul asked me about«David’s World Famous» when I mentioned hailing from Boston. And why would they? Is a mediocre, drafty, over-priced lunch place with the ambience of a bus station that rare on this planet?

Lunch is always a tricky meal for me. I’m not really the biggest fan of sandwiches in general, but sometimes it’s like, what else is there really? Today I got to try David’s World Famous and oh my GOD… a good sandwich. Nay, a great sandwich. Get this — real meat. Not slimy folded over ribbons of nasty processed cold cuts. Like, thick pieces of real turkey breast cut from, you guessed it, a turkey breast. Not a water and filler-infused log of ‘turkey breast product’. The breads are fresh. The choices are simple so you don’t have to wade through a 50 item menu to pick something that tastes good. The prices are insanely good. And I got the special which came with a brownie and a drink — the brownies are serious. There was a little picture of Bobby Flay with one of the owners on a bulletin board. I kind of despise Bobby Flay, but I guess it does add some credibility. I can’t wait to go back and try a different sandwich next time! The girl that waited on us behind the counter was really nice and personable, too. All in all it was a wonderful dining experience for our wallets and our stomachs and I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone who finds themselves in the Woburn area at lunchtime.

I have worked around the corner from this place for about a year now. Literally– I work in the same Office Park Development. Depending on which way I take to work I pass by the sandwich board marquee on a regular basis. For nearly as long I have been looking for a place to get lunch that is not your typical Boston area sub shop that just packs the grease in. I ventured into David’s World Famous today after examining their website for a display of their menu items because I don’t like to doddle in places. I ordered the Chicken Pesto with Sun Dried Tomato Sandwich. First, I want to say that I appreciate the plethora of reserved parking spaces right in front of the joint. Secondly, it’s clear this is the kind of place that has regular customers but when I walked in I didn’t feel like I would be valued any less than the gentleman who came in after me who the staff clearly knew. Third, although I was a little taken back by the friendly greeting & service it was a welcome to the typical cold attitude in a lot of service establishments. Lastly, my sandwich was freshly prepared, with chips it cost less then $ 8 and it tasted good. I already have plans to go back next week with a friend of mine.

Stopped in to try their FAMOUS sandwiches. I had the Italian which was actually very good. It was very spicy and I loved the pickled grated vegetables that were on it. The sandwiches are small, not a lot of food for the price. OK service, it appears they do a lot of catering, and it seems that their main focus is catering as the small dining room was filled with their trays waiting to go out for delivery. Not a big or attractive dining room. Get it to go.
