Me a three friends showed up here at 9:50 when the sign says 10pm and the two blonde teenagers tried to tell us they were closed. I told them that it was 9:50 and asked if they really weren’t going to serve me. They said fine and gave us an attitude about it. When we were done ordering at 9:54 two more people came up and they completely denied them ice cream. The proceeded to close with two of they high school teenage boys who were not working them in the store they were counting the money with customers in the store which I’m almost positive is illegal to close the cash drawer with them in there. I know at my job we cannot do that what so ever. They also had there phones out and texting while they were serving. They forgot one of our ice creams as well. This is very unprofessional and it upsetting to see a great local business be ruin by unprofessional and disrespect teenagers. We are still I front of the store watching this happen.

Nice and clean. Great menu for a burger/ice cream place. Friendly, effective waitstaff. Burger toppings old-fashioned enormous. But. My wife is one of the few who likes her burger more medium than rare, and it was rare. We weren’t asked, and didn’t think about it since many places don’t give an option. The fries were soggy. And the buns disintegrated almost instantly. So. Great concept, but needs better execution.

While checking out what was local to my hotel, I stumbled across this adorable 1950s themed soda shop and diner. According to a sign in their front window, they just had a grand opening on October 25. I ordered a hot dog platter with French fries. One thing I thought was interesting is they serve Pepsi products. Don’t 50s places generally serve coke? On top of that, they were out of Pepsi regardless. The décor was super cute, although I don’t think they are quite finished since there was an empty sundae bar in the middle of the room. They weren’t very busy during my visit; the place was literally empty. I think it has the potential to be a cute little diner; it just hasn’t found its clientele yet.

Ok, so the prices are a bit higher than they could be, but come on, it’s Richardson’s ice cream! And they have Richie’s slush! Consider yourself lucky, those things are hard to come by around here. The location is fairly new looking. The parking is a little limited. The service is a little young. It’s an ice cream place, what more did you expect? The product was fresh, I was happy.

I have no idea why this place is getting bad reviews. I went in and looked at the insides and it looked like a cute old fashioned diner. As you walk in the food area is on the left and the ice cream is on the right. Everything was well laid out and clean. The food side accepts credit cards while the ice cream is cash only. There is also a walk up order area for the ice cream. We ordered our food and it was delivered quickly. The food was all VERYGOOD! When I went over to inquire about the ice cream the lady that was helping us was very nice. She let us taste several flavors, told my kids the difference between sherbet and sorbet, and even let us split a 4 scoop cone into individual scoops so that my kids got their own scoops separate while still saving the money on ordering a 4 scoop cone! While taking pictures the owner happened to notice me and came out and spoke to me a bit. She was concerned about how the address, phone number, etc on here were wrong. I showed her how to come on and look at the page. She seems to genuinely care about peoples experiences at her establishment. A+++

Rip off alert. And be warned — cash only! Parking is ridiculous also since they moved locations. Why is it so freaking expensive? $ 4.55 for a medium cup of ice cream with jimmies… I could purchase 5 times as much ice cream for the same amount of money at a grocery store. Total rip off, never again.

Overall recommended, but aside from the A+ quality of the ice cream, don’t set your expectations to high. The Good: The ice cream here is fantastic, as Richardson’s ice cream always is. The prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful. The service is 50⁄50 good. Great location for me, I live down the street. The Bad: I’m not sure that these people know how to run a business, but I really hope they learn. Their hours always change and are ‘weather permitting’. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been by in fair weather after 8pm(when the sign says 10) and they were closed. Don’t get it. How can people count on coming to your shop when the hours change every day? This place is run by 15 year olds, so will you get the lousy service that 15 year olds give. Good example: After waiting in line for 10 minutes(inside, mind you) me and the 8 people behind me in line were told that it was 9pm and they were closed, therefore they would not serve us. $ 50+ was forced to walk out the door sans ice cream. Appalling.

The ice cream is not homemade on the premises. It is Richardson’s ice cream. They don’t have old standbys like an ice cream soda or a Coke or root beer float. But ok nonthless.

ice cream /frozen yogurt + friendly service. i don’t think there are 100 flavors but it sure seemed like it with the extensive list on the wall. had the«cake batter» which actually had pieces of cake mixed in and yes, tasted exactly like cake batter. boyfriend had snickers which was full of peanut & carmel goodness. bought a pint of mint chocolate frozen yogurt for the sister, tastes just like ice cream and has giant chocolate chips mixed into the mint frozen yogurt. delicious with outdoor seatting perfect for the warm, humid weather.
