The first time I went to WuBurger everything was excellent, the cheese sauce was super addictive, and my order was correct. This time four items out of five were wrong. I guess I should check before I leave next time. Hotdog covered in WuSauce which I asked for none of, gfs burger missing bacon, other burger was supposed to be a double but was a single, and chili cheese fries were missing chili and cheese. Quick $ 6 loss there. I also wanted utensils in the bag. That didn’t happen. Super disappointed. Hopefully it was just an employee who at 8 pm had lost focus in the kitchen. I know everything was rung in correctly. They’ll get another try but I expect this from BK or Taco Bell. Overall just disappointed in a place where the food is actually better than the average fast food joint. One last note, if they actually read this please add frappes to online ordering!

I recently moved to the area and live just a few minutes away from WuBurger. I stopped in with my family and was pleasantly surprised to find a good burger joint so close to home. I’ve been there twice now and have found consistent service and food quality each time. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WuBurger is a lite version of a 50’s ice cream shop or diner. The layout is a bit odd and the décor is sparse. Service up front is excellent and employees are very attentive. Food was served quickly. They call your name and you pick up your order, though our first visit was on a slow night and one of the girls brought our food to the table. My husband liked the hamburger, I thought the chicken sandwich was thick and pretty good though it could use a little more flavor, even just a little salt & pepper. However, I think it’s fair to note that I don’t enjoy many condiments and didn’t have the WuSauce(I think its called) or honey mustard, so I’m judging the chicken just on its own. The waffle fries could use some work — a little more crispiness and they’d be excellent on their own. We tried them with chili and cheese though and devoured the whole thing. A single serving was enough for 2 adults and a kid. We tried some ice cream and frozen yogurt after dinner. Nothing fancy, just a couple scoops but delicious nonetheless. Most people in line seemed to be ordering milkshakes, which we will be definitely be trying next time as they looked really good.

I strolled in yesterday afternoon after trying to find a local joint near my new place of employment. To my surprise, Wu Burger is less then 5 minutes away. I walked in and was noticed right away. The place was clean, has a 50’s décor to it, similar to Johnny Rockets but not as extreme! I was excited seeing all the ice cream flavors, however for the first time in my life I chose against getting any ice cream as the smell of burgers in the air was enough to make me want one instead! I ordered a single burger with a potato roll, cheddar cheese, a fried egg, applewood bacon and thousand island dressing, along with waffle fries and cheese sauce! All I can say is OMG! It blew me away! Delicious, relatively cheap, perfect sizing, even perfectly cooked! I think I’m in love. Sorry Bruno’s, Wu’s has taken your burger place in my heart.

Great place for families with kids. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Ice cream and milkshakes were a treat, too. Definitely a Woburn gem.

Got a Double WuBurger and waffle fries. Fantastic. The waffle fries were seasoned and it’s not quite my favorite, but they were delicious, despite my personal preference. The burger was similar in style to a Shake Shack burger, but was bigger and was of similar if not higher quality for a much lower price($ 5 for a single, $ 7 for a double; comes with cheese)! Great 50s décor and music.

Made the journey out to Woburn(the Wu) after seeing WuBurger featured on Chronicle last week. I’m a sucker for a good fast casual burger joint and WuBurger seemed to have all the right ingredients, at least from what I could gather via a quick television spotlight. WuBurger is located conveniently off of Route 128⁄95 North in a small shopping plaza on Main St. in Woburn. From the outside, the joint doesn’t look like too much and even when you get inside the layout is very odd. First impression walking in is that you at an ice cream parlor, not a burger joint. Think Johnny Rockets but not as committed to the whole 50s diner theme. Lots of empty space and very light on the décor. Once you get past the physical space, which should not and does not have much weight in this review, you get to focus on the deliciousness of their burgers. My brother and I each ordered a double WuBurger that comes with American cheese, WuSauce, lettuce and tomato standard. We added bacon, though there are several other types of toppings you can add(i.e. sunnyside up egg, caramelized onions). Two bun options: Martin’s potato or sesame seed rolls. A case could be made for each buns’ merit, but we went with sesame. Everything considered, WuBurger made a great burger that was freshly cooked and tasteful. The double burger portion is perfect(not too big and messy, not too skimpy). There are several specialty sandwiches on the menu in addition to the burgers and hot dogs. As far as fries are concerned you can get regular or waffle. You can add bacon, chili, cheddar cheese sauce to fries. They have fountain soda(Cherry Coke), milkshakes, you see where I’m going with all this? Good things. Looks like they have a location in Inman Sq. too. Next time.

I wanted to like this place, but the food just isn’t very good. I like the décor, the pleasant people who work there, and the fun restaurant concept. But the food is lousy. I ordered a «Wuburger» and chili-cheese waffle fries. The burger was bland and the fries tasted like they had been frozen and thawed just a few too many times. I still wanted to like this place, so I came back and ordered their fish sandwich and regular fries. The fries were ok — they tasted normal. Not great, just normal. But the fish sandwich just didn’t work. The«fresh cod» was processed fish meat: shredded and shaped into a rectangle, breaded, and deep-fried. It was so small that they had to cut it in half to spread the pieces out over the sandwich bread. It would have been delicious if it had been an actual filet of fresh fish. Oh, well. Back to Wendy’s.

Can’t believe how good the burgers are. Want to have one every day. The regular fries are also very very good. Toss up with shake shack for best burger ever, but for sure 10x better than any burger anywhere else. Other items(chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, etc) are good, but nowhere near as great as the burger. Get the potato roll.

Good, but I just wasn’t blown away. Maybe I was too hype over a burger joint and made the mistake of getting a chicken sandwich. Forewent Chick-fil-A for this place while heading to Burlington and it’s the same stuff but I just wasn’t as satisfied for some reason. Had the South End Sandwich with waffle fries. Maybe I should have jazzed it up a bit with chili and cheese but was feeling overly indulgent already. M had a burger, fries, and a mint milkshake. The chicken sandwich had a nice fried breading to it but overall lacked a lot of flavor. It was pretty big, juicy slab of chicken though. Burger seemed good – Shake Shack-esque apparently. Waffle fries are always great, can’t go wrong there. Cute vibe and nice service. The food was a solid good but didn’t really impress me beyond that and sort of left me disappointed that we didn’t stick to the original plan of Chick-fil-A(my bad).

Overall: solid. Great for families. The people here are extremely nice and the service is on point. Two thumbs up on serving Richardson’s Ice Cream. They’ve succeeded in making a place that has good food, and is also a great ice-cream-only stop for people, too. It’s a LOT like Shake Shack. All the way down to the trays they use. Not a bad business model to emulate. Burgers are similar. Sesame seed buns are a nice touch. You know what’s not so great? The prices are a little high… Frappes are $ 6 or $ 7 !!! This is Woburn, guys. Even in Boston people don’t charge that much. Additionally, the fries need a re-do. Everyone thinks waffle fries are wonderful, but they’re just frozen and then fried. Let’s go something a little better like Five Guys, JM Curley, RF O’Sullivans, or UBurger where they are fresh-cut. They taste miles better. Looking forward to seeing the Cambridge location open soon. I’ll be back.

Great place to take the family for hamburger and fries. The waffle fries are great. My wife really enjoyed her Veggie burger. Service was exceptional… helped me carry food from the pickup window. GOWU!

I’m jumping on the WuBurger wagon!!! I had a single patty cheese burger with their house special sauce. It was small but very tasty. You get to pick the toppings, and you have to pay extra for some, but their selection of «free toppings» is good. I also had their sesame bun, and it wasn’t anything special, just a hamburger bun. Their waffle fries were the same old waffle fries you have anywhere, but they were fried properly– in hot oil, so they didn’t absorb more oil than necessary. They also sell Richardson’s ice cream, and the selection looked nice. Lastly, they went with the«80’s diner» look… and I don’t know why places do this… we’re not even in the same century… this is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

We came in for a quick dinner aftee running errands today. I think the star of the sandwich and burger menu here is actually the South End. It’s a delicious crispy Italian panko breaded chicken cutlet with honey mustard, mayo, pickles, WuSauce, Swiss cheese and lettuce on a sesame bun. The fried chicken is a nicely seasoned thick cutlet. I’d definitely have it again if I was in the area. I tried my friend’s double hamburger and it looked Shake Shack like but did not taste similar. It wasn’t amazing and it wasn’t bad, just sort of standard for a hamburger. The quality of the beef after cooking left a lot to be desired as it was on the dry side and looked cheapish. The sesame bun has a lot if sesame seeds on it, which actually adds flavor. The waffle fries we had were from frozen but were fried up nicely. They also serve Richardson’s ice cream, based in Middleton, MA. You actually order your food at the ice cream counter then pick it up from window when they call you. The décor is pleasant and fun with diner style booths. The color scheme is simple and pleasant.

It was fun to see this culture-maker in Woburn. This is a good, solid burger joint that hopefully finds success and makes it to other parts of the Boston area! So far I like it more than other local Bostonian burger«claims to fame»(Uburger, Boston Burger Company, Burger-fi, etc) and it’s in the echelon of Five Guys and In-N-Out. — I got a single cheeseburger with various veggies and the lemon rosemary mayo. The mayo was delicious but overwhelmed the other flavors! However, I could tell by the texture and richness of the meat that the burger was very high quality. — My friend got the veggie burger. It was on the very leafy /vegetably side, which he usually doesn’t like, but he said it was very good! — Waffle fries — these had good texture but felt a pinch under-seasoned to me. Overall, a great burger place! The service was also very friendly and checked in with us frequently. I still have my allegiance to Five Guys(I still prefer their toppings, and Shake Shack’s burger patties), but this place deserves to be known, and is definitely on their level!

«Wu» burger @ Woburn is charming retro-esque burger joint. Other than offering burgers, they also have an extensive ice cream selection. Order first from the cashier, then pick up your order from the kitchen counter behind you. Recs= +++South End Sandwich= gotta get this, the most succulent chicken breast ever. Was sold out the first time my man tried ordering this, hinting it’s a big hit. I’m not a meat fanatic but this had me getting multiple bites. ++Wu burger= your choice of either single or double patty, and either sesame bread or potato bread. Unique Wu sauce with fresh veges. The booth seat furniture is noticeably not new although they reportedly opened in September. There are a bunch of stuff stuck in between the cracks of the seats which was visually not appealing while waiting for our order.

I wanted to be a little more ‘wooed’ by WuBurger than I was, but not to say I didn’t enjoy my meal. While staying in a hotel nearby I found WuBurger on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try instead of heading to a chain. The restaurant is designed to be more of a 50’s type diner and has a nice selection of ice cream as well. I would think in the summer many people stop here just for the ice cream. I ordered a WuBurger(think quarter pounder with cheese but made fresh and on a nice fresh bun) and waffle fries. While I sat in a booth near the kitchen window(which they call out your name and you pick up, no wait staff here) I watched a stream of young parent and their children come in for burgers and fries. If you’re in the Boston area and want a more serene experience than a Whalburger I think WuBurger is probably a good option.

I think I will always feel this close relationship with Wu-Bee as we moved into the neighborhood at the exact same time. While driving to our new house back in August, I noticed that something was going into this location and it wasn’t until a few weeks after that that a sign went up to tell us exactly what it was. Burger joints are becoming a dime a dozen in areas like Somerville but the ‘burbs NEED places like this. Simple, fresh ingredients in a casual setting with great service to boot. All of these things happen with Woo-burgah and I’m happy to now call this our go-to burger joint. My only complaint is the two doors, one that will drop you off right in front of the ordering counter and the other leaves you in a confusing spot. I figured it out fairly quickly on our first visit but I tend to see so many customers confused about what to do. Sit down for table service? No, I don’t think that ever happens. Funnel customers in to a queue line better somehow. Everything else about the place is great, they have 1950’ish décor, complete with the vinyl, two-toned seats. The service has been outstanding, friendly greetings and everyone seems competent and knowledgeable. I can’t remember if I’m asked how I want the burger cooked or not but it has always been juicy and flavorful, never dry. I have gotten the wu-sauce on my burger every time and don’t think I can have it any other way. Forget bacon, I just want to bathe in this stuff. It’s a lot like the Golden Arches™ Special Sauce™ but you know… better because it doesn’t have 30 ingredients in it. The waffle fries here are an added bonus over your typical shoe strings, always crispy and perfectly seasoned. Get the cheese on them, in my humble opinion. Not only are they our local burger place now but we have also stopped in for the Richardson’s frappes, spectacular on a warm day. I think they have about 15 – 20 flavors to choose from and I like that you can get combos in the frappes themselves. You’ve got a long time customer, keep doing what you’re doing!

We went there yesterday and contemplating never going anywhere else ever again! The cheeseburger was better than southern California’s in-n-out burger, perfect size and just right. Not too greasy, and the meat was cooked in unison with the cheese… I can’t even describe the heavenly taste right now without wanting to grab my keys and driving back there just to grab the wu double burger and chili cheeseburger. The owners Kal and Doug were both there, and down-to-earth guys that anyone can hang out with. This is my go to burger hang out from now on! I can’t wait to go back there for the chicken plate!!!
