I witnessed a chef sneezing into food and eating fries from someones dish before serving. The service is absolutely horrible. Used to be a good place but now I refuse to go there.

This«staple» of picturesque downtown Woburn MA combines great wood fired food with a comfortable family atmosphere. Food is very good, hot and tasty. My main gripe is that the service is quite frankly terrible. Asking the waitstaff to separate checks is essentially asking them to split the atom. They look at you as if you are common street trash if you are hungover and order chicken fingers. But damn it, the pizza is good. Also, why is there always an old guy directing traffic? Waitstaff seems as though they should be cast for the Jersey Shore.

Cool atmosphere, the downstairs bar/lounge area was nice when I went with a small group on new years eve. However, my experience was totally ruined when the bartender upstairs was extremely rude to me and my friends on three different occasions– and we were only there for about an hour and a half! Working in multiple restaurants before, I can totally understand the stress and annoyance of working on any major holiday, but this guy just had a weird, mocking attitude.

We were treated like a regular, yet it was our first visit. It’s pub food, which usually isn’t my thing, but was being bad and just going with it. So very glad my burger was worth the calories. It was cooked perfectly and bun was warm and buttery. I got grilled onions, mushrooms and borsin cheese on it. I got sweet potato fries which were actually crispy. For starters we tried the home made steak n cheese egg rolls. They were bursting with flavor and nice and crispy. So good! My favorite part was our bartender Chris. He spoke with us like we’ve been buds for years, but not overbearingly friendly. Just a genuine good guy who always makes sure you have a drink. Try it out!

Went to The Brickyard on a Friday night with some friends. Spend the time there downstairs which has a lounge. Darker lighting and modern seating. The service was pretty fast considering it was so busy. Drinks were pretty cheap, Rebel IPA was only $ 5.00. One friend got the buffalo chicken pizza which he murdered, and another friend got Nachos. The cheese was a little over cooked but the jalapeños were so fresh and super hot! Music was pretty standard hip hop/party music. I requested a song but it never got played :(. Overall it was fun.

No need for a review because after we asked for a table of two an got our buzzer we decided not to dine there, why you ask because the gentleman(he was no gentleman) who took our reservation was so disagreeable. Why have someone who obviously does not like dealing with the public in this position? Ask a simple question an get a rude response NO Thank you. Twice this happened! So Good bye!

The Brickyard is a restaurant that grows on me a little more after each visit. It’s never been a place I intentionally decide to dine at, but I find myself there when invited by others. It is a great place to meet for drinks with friends. The restaurant’s website describes its establishment as «upscale» but I refer to Brickyard as casual with somewhat of a nightclub feel(due to a fancy, colorful light fixture) in the downstairs lounge area. The food here is just very average pub fare. I have tried several menu items and the most memorable selections so far were the pizza and fries. I have sampled the grilled chicken, pulled pork sandwich, and burgers finding all to be just ok. I even took a chance on the meatloaf once(usually a dish I only eat when homemade) but it was quite dry and flavorless. I have never really had an entrée here that I wished to order a second time. Last night I met up with a large group of friends for a birthday celebration. The downstairs lounge is definitely a fun place to gather on a Saturday night. There is often live music and last night’s band totally rocked.(Wish I could remember their name). During summer months there is a large patio offering outdoor seating near a pretty rock waterfall. Although the patio overlooks the hustle and bustle of Woburn center, it is a nice place to sit and enjoy dinner. I have driven by at night and heard bands playing outside on the patio as well. Brickyard also hosts karaōke and trivia nights — check the online schedule.

My boyfriend and I went out to dinner last night to the brickyard in Woburn & we had a great time. It was a Wednesday afternoon and there was a live band playing outside. There was outside & inside seating available so we chose the indoor seating & were seated immediately. Within minutes our server greeted us and took our drink order. I got a sangria and my boyfriend got a blue moon. The drinks came in a plastic clear cup. I thought it definitely went with the vibe of the restaurant. We ordered beef teriyaki for starters & it came with 4 beef teriyaki sticks with little bit of salad. For dinner we got the pulled pork sandwich and the Arugula di Parma pizza. I loved the fact that the menu gave options of making your own pizza and burger! Our server was extremely nice and always checked up on us. Overall we had a great experience. Side note: there’s free parking in the back of the restaurant

The reason for 1 star is that the«grilled» chicken over my salad was microwaved, frozen chicken. I can tell when I’m eating a juicy, off the fire, piece of fresh, not frozen, chicken… and this was not.

I’ve had both good and bad experiences here. burgers are the way to go, but everything else I’ve had here has been sub par. the bartender was friendly, but the rest of the waitstaff don’t seem to be too happy. went in on a saturday afternoon awhile back, just to sit at the bar and couldnt even enjoy anything thanks to this older, drunk man acting like he owned the place. even the manager was struggling to control him(rather than just kicking him out). he was disturbing not only me, but the entire bar. the employees knew him by name, so I imagine this wasn’t his first charade. huge turn off. if I do go back, it will only be to sit at the outdoor patio area.

Not the first time we’ve visited. Last night One problem was that the waitress forgot our starter and brought the entrees. We sent them back until we received and finished the starter. However the gluten free crust pizza was a disaster when she brought it back. The“crust” was an undercooked soggy mess. I don’t know if sending it back caused it to become soggy or if it was that way to start. Either way don’t order the GF crust for pizza.

This place has a great menu. I’ve tried several types of burgers and pizzas and have yet to be disappointed. However… The other day, I ran into a problem with the staff. In particular the manager. I had ordered a burger and beer. While waiting for the food to arrive, I noticed that the glass was dirty. There was what appeared to be tomato sauce on the inside of the glass. I was a little grossed out that it took me a few sips in to notice, but these things happen. I brought it to the attention of the manager and that’s when things fell apart. My account is as follows: Manger: Hi can I help you. Me: Yes, I noticed that my glass was dirty. Manager: Oh? Um. What do you want me to do? I guess I could get you another glass. Me: Yeah, it’s kinda gross. Manager:(Shrugs) I’m sure it’s clean. He had barely glanced at the glass and pretty much just called me a liar. Me: It’s clearly dirty — Why don’t you look at it? Manager: Well, our machine sanitizes the dishes… Me: I understand that, but it’s a machine! Don’t you think at the very least there should be a visual inspection of the glasses before you use them? You know, just incase the machine missed something or in the event something is spilled on them AFTER they’ve been taken out of the machine? Manager:(Shrugs again) I don’t need to look at it. I’m sure it’s fine. We wash everything. Maybe it’s just dried foam. It was at this point that I got infuriated. But stopped myself from saying anything else. I didn’t see the point in making a scene. In short I don’t think I’ll go there again anytime soon. (I would have given 4 stars if not for the manager)

Went on a Friday evening. The ambience was great. They have A nice patio area to sit. Though there was a waiting for it when we went. Since we were hungry we decided to sit inside. We were seated by the window and have no complains. The best thing I liked about the menu was that it had great food options. We ended up ordering wings for apps, sandwich and chicken for main course and we liked what we ordered. Drinks options were also decent. Service was okay not the greatest but I would definitely go back again.

I was really disappointed with my last experience here. I had come here with friends a couple of years ago and had a great time enjoying drinks and apps in the downstairs bar area. My boyfriend had never been and wanted to try it out so we came here last week and it was a shit show! It was a Friday night and there was a live band outside which was cool, but all the windows to the restaurant were open and it was just a noisey mess, way too loud. So we get seated and at first our waiter seemed nice, and then he just like disappeared on us, waited too long to order, too long to get drinks, too long for our food, which when we got it, was cold a flopped down on the table quickly as our waiter went ghost on us again. Also, he gave an attitude when we asked for ANYTHING, especially when I asked for the crushed red pepper back that he took off of our table in front of us to give to the table behind us without asking. it was just weird! He avoided us, never once asked if we needed anything, We had to flag his ass down every time and he would try to avoid us. We asked for ranch dressing for salads that we got, 15 minutes later, he threw it down on the table. It’s like, yes, I get your busy but this is your job, figure it out and make it happen. It was so unorganized. The kid was obviously stressed because the staff just seemed so unorganized. I was STARVING too, so that could have attributed to my opinion, but if you are looking for a relaxing environment and courteous wait staff, stay away from here. If you wanna get some drinks and get shitfaced with your friends at the bar, this is your place. P. S. the place seemed dirty and the oil and parm cheese smelled and tasted like paint.

Went there and got pizza and apps with a friend. I thought the pizza was amazing for a place that looks like a chain restaurant. Pricewise I think they are a little expensive but they do make a mean drink and the burgers that another table got looked amazing.

I am completely and totally disgusted with the service I received at the brickyard restaurant today. I do have a food allergy that I had explained to the waiter. The fact that the Cook/Chef or waitstaff WOULDNOT accommodate me at all was very infuriating. Now, I have been to this establishment several times over the years and I have never been refused service nor refused to be accommodated. I am allergic to tomatoes and when I order pizza(white, of course) and never had this issue. The chef/cook refused to clean the utensils and an area to prepare my food. I was with a friend who actually works in the food industry and she was appalled by what we were being told AND what she saw. Our waiter besides blaming the kitchen staff for me not being able to order food, took French fries off an order that the bartender was bringing to a customer. I mean, SERIOUSLY!!!

I found it strange that there were so many reviews with negative comments on the service. I’ve probably been here 4 or 5 times now, each time with at least 3 people, and one time my young nephew even came. The service was great every time, and they were very accomodating for my nephew bringing coloring materials and chocolate milk right away. No problems there, but maybe I just got lucky. Food has been great every time as well. Not spectacular, but decent pub food for sure. Burgers are good, and kind of ridiculous. Pizza was very good. Apps were all great. The only thing I really didn’t like was the beer selection. I think the best thing they had was Sam Adams, which isn’t terrible, but no other good beer choices. Update: next few trips here were not so good. Had probably the worst mushy burger I’ve ever had. And a separate occasion got take out apps and they were all cold and pretty unfortunate-tasting. I guess they’re sort of hit or miss.
