Horrible! We ordered food on a Thursday night. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get to our house. They never called to give us the courtesy of letting us know they were too busy to deliver it in the 40 minutes they promised. The food was cold and tasted disgusting. After complaining, the owner offered us $ 5 credit on our next crappy meal. Do not order food from this restaurant. It’s substandard and the service is horrible. I wish I could give less than 1 star but Unilocal does not allow it.

Has been my favorite place for years. Cold noodles with peanut sauce cannot be beat. I always order either the General Tsos chicken, Sweet and sour chicken, or cashew chicken and I am almost always satisfied. One time we ordered from here and it wasn’t as good as we were used to. The guy even forgot to give us sauce and fortune cookies. We tried them one more time a week later and it was just as good as ever. Probably just a bad day, but if this trend continues, I may have to consider my options. The parking lot is okay, but often tough to maneuver. There is a little sitting area and a nice fish tank; however, last time i was in there the tank was empty… They do deliver with a minimum order(i think its like 10 bucks or something, ask on the phone because it is always changing with these places). Prices have gone up a bit, but I believe all Chinese restaurants have so I won’t hold it against them. It is still the only place in town that makes decent Cold noodles with peanut sauce and one of the only Chinese places in Waterbury/Wolcott that delivers. If you are in the mood for Chinese food and are not in the mood for buffet style, give Zheng Zheng a try.

Since having moved to Waterbury a while ago, we have been on the hunt for our ‘go-to’ Chinese restaurant. Zheng Zheng seems to have filled our needs. Occasionally, I will venture out and try a different place, but we always come back here. My normal meal is General Tso’s chicken with an egg roll. The GT’s has large chunks of not TOO heavily breaded chicken with a fairly thick sauce. Honestly, not as spicy as I really like to have it, but they will add some extra ‘kick’ if you ask them to. Another of our staples is the steamed chicken and veggies with brown sauce. I love it. The brown sauce is perfect. They give enough for leftovers the next day, always. Good American Chinese food, good prices and accommodating. I recommend.

Typical Chinese food. Service was quick and food was nice and hot.
