Astoria Pizza Restaurant

I just placed a take out order for a large extra cheese pizza and the man who took my Payment was rude! when I got home, there was cheese over the crust on one side of the pizza! It was greasy, slimy and when I tried tearing a part off the pizza, I had to use my hands to tear into the cheese! It was obvious that they did not cut the pizza after baking it. I never had a bad experience with any pizza business and I am extremely unhappy with my pizza. It is so gross I couldn’t eat it!

Absolutely enjoyable. I ordered this pizza for my son’s fifth birthday. It was completely gone by the end of the party, four pies. I highly recommend this local pizza place for your next pizza purchase.

Really enjoyed the pizza and gyro. Delicious food, good prices. Steak, egg, and cheese was also a very tasty and filling option. Will definitely be going back.

Delicious pizza. Highly recommend the ham pizza — small pieces but there were a lot of them! In a sketchy part of town, but well worth it!

Stopped here to check it out. I’m a huge Steak & Cheese fan so I ordered one here. Not too bad but maybe if they changed the meat it would be better. 3 stars because I’m also a Coca Cola drinker and they only have Pepsi. I hate Pepsi so I settled for a Sierra mist. The young lady taking orders did a super job, great friendly service. I will come back for pizza next time.

I support mom and pop restaurants because I believe in the spirit of entrepreneurship. However, I can’t really proclaim that this is the best pizza in Woodbridge. Granted, having only recently moved to Woodbridge, I haven’t tried every single pizzeria in town but this can’t be the best.
The prices were reasonable and the toppings fresh. However, one thing I didn’t care much for is the fact that they dices all the veggies and meat on top of their pizza. So rather than biting into a big slice of bell pepper, onion, or meat, it’s specs. To each their own, but I thought that was a bit strange. I’ve never had pizza like this before.
I would definitely come back because the pizza was alright however far from being the best.

Authentic New York style pizza, family own business with good taste I love this place I just move to this area and me being from New York I can honestly say this is pretty close to New York style pizza

Great pizza! I work for a competitive pizza place but I still swing by on Fridays to grab my pepperoni pizza. Kids and hubby loves it too.

Truly the best pizza in Woodbridge. I thought the reviews were just fake or over exaggerations but it was the best pizza I have had in years and not even a mile away from my house. Usually too lazy to go and pickup pizza but since they don’t deliver I just suck it up. Pizza can be greasy but that’s how you know they use real cheese. Dab with a clean napkin if it bothers you, but don’t put them down for quality ingredients. When I say the best, I mean it. Similar if not better than Kouzina Angelina’s Pizzeria in DC. And I’m in love with that place.

Easy to find, friendly employees and good pizza. It’s authentic pizza for sure. Thin crust, tons of cheese which means it’s going to be greasy. I enjoyed it though.

This place is absolute heaven. We’ve only had the pizza, but it was absolutely delicious! Here’s a tip that was passed along to us from some friends: Order your pizza crust extra crispy. It won’t be burnt, but will be baked to perfection.

The atmosphere was dark and old. They only had one server at the time which was in the middle of a Sunday. I brought my family with me to include my 3 year old son. We ordered a large Pizza and the price was reasonable. The smell of the place was clean even tho it looks like it’s been in business since the 80’s. After waiting about 10 minutes the server walked by to tell us that our Pizza would be out soon the only problem is that the oven was right across from our table and right before he told me this I saw our order go into the oven. To me that’s lying. So I corrected him and informed him that I just saw the pizza go in, he then tried to recover by saying that it shouldn’t be long and that the ticket fell on the floor and got missed. I would have had more respect for him if he would have just told me that first instead of trying to cover it up.
The Pizza was done soon after that, so the waiting wasn’t too much longer. But it was longer than what it could have been. Once we got the pizza my wife and son were ready but I wasn’t impressed with the pool of grease covering the pizza. Some people like this New York style thin crust with greasy cheese but I’m not a fan. The crust was soggy in the middle and you could barely taste the sauce. The pepperoni was good but I had to add parmesan cheese and red peppers just to add some flavor. My kid loved every bite and so did my wife. I just have a different taste in pizza I guess.
One thing that threw me off was one of the cooks came off the line to have his lunch break right next to us. I’m all for hard working people taking a much needed break and eating, but in a restaurant you kind of want to do that in the back in the break room.
All in all, the prices are good and the people are friendly. It feels like a «Mom and Pop“restaurant that needs an update and some training. If you’re looking for place to get a large pie for a decent price then look no further, their menu looks very old but the prices will keep you in your seat.

We have been searching for a great family style pizza restaurant. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place because now I have my new go to. The pepperoni pizza was so delicious and fresh. We asked for our pizza well done and the crust was just right.
We also ordered garlic cheese bread, which could have standard to be cooked a little longer.
We will return!

My friends and I really enjoyed our lunch here! The pizza was delicious and very high quality! Also, incredibly large portions for an amazing price. Lastly, the workers were incredibly friendly and helpful — I love supporting businesses like these. I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

I love local places that can deliver a consistent product. They are brisk on the phone when you place an order, but hey, I gotta assume it’s because they are busy crankin out pies.
I’m not a NY person, nor can I testify to how «New York style» this pizza is, I just know that it tastes delicious on my lips.
You cannot go wrong with a sausage pizza. Get the large because the pizza is thin and crispy (which means you can eat WAY more than you think you can eat).

Omg, I bookmarked this place, and happy I did. The pizza was legit. Reminds me of the fresh pizza from back home… I’m from Philly. I ordered a medium pie with pepperoni and shrooms. The most cheesiest pie I’ve ever had here. I rather support the family business than the papajohns or dominions. Omg talk about on point. The young lady at the corner was sweet. She asked if my little boy could have a dum dum aka a small lollipop. Convo was great. Prices are great and super fresh ingredients. I’m so happy I came here. I told my husband whose from Brooklyn that we have a new pizza home. Awesome place makes me feel right at home. Ooooo and my son loved it too. We will be coming back and you guys get #2spoons from 1girl2spoons.

Reading all these reviews I’m wondering what drugs everyone’s doing because I want some. After trusting the review hype and a 4 hour tour at ikea. My better judgment didn’t keep me from wasting my money on this horrible food. Greek salads with iceberg lettuce and Italian dressing? Wtf? My pizza tasted like it came out of an easy bake oven. Seriously. Secret dough? Forgettabout it! For 50 $ I got a reminder to remember two things. Never believe Woodbridge Unilocal hype again and never eat here again.
Flame me if you want. It would be s better time then I had at this place. Ughhhh
