Used to go here all the time. Recently they scratched out prices on their menu and hiked them up significantly. They have lost my patronage since the hefty upcharge is not worth the prices. Not to mention it is pretty tacky to write over your menu with black magic marker… Come on, we are not talking 4-star restaurant value here…

I speak only to their«charcoal chicken.» I split a whole chicken, salad, beans and rice, and fried yuca. The chicken has a great taste. It appears seasoned in advanced, and it is cooked under an oven broil. The breast was mainly dry, but the provided hot sauce(green) made it quite bearable. The dark meat was great. The salad is served in a small cup. It was fresh salad, but just very small. The beans were not the best — canned and not seasoned well or cooked-down softly. The accompanying rice is plentiful(always in a Hispanic restaurant to fill you up). The fried yuca was actually very good, and again plentiful — fill you up on starchy food. Overall, the cost of the meal was not bad. $ 21.00 minus the tip.(A while chicken alone is $ 15.00 — not much of a bargain with exception for the seasoning and broiling). The meal wasn’t bad for what it was — a bite to eat while passing through and needing something to hit the spot. Good, but not great. There are a bunch of small restaurants in this area, and based on the Unilocal reviews, this seems to be one of the better selections within this vicinity.

This is my favorite spot for charcoal chicken. It’s soooo tasty(and cheap)! I promise you will love it. Only complaint — the parking sucks(since it’s in a very small shopping center. If you arrive mid-afternoon on the weekend, you may have to wait for a parking spot.

I love coming to this place because of three things on their menu: Torta Mexicana, chicken quesadilla, and the chicken salad. The quesadilla is especially great with loads of cheese! My only gripe is the place itself looks dirty. For some reason, they closed for a while. When they recently re-opened, nothing had changed. Still dirty and basic. Probably the reason i only take it to go.

Certified delicious! Try the chicken sandwich and you will absolutely love it. It is huge and has enough for two to share. Also the pupusas are very good. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Pupusas are delicious. You have to try, you can’t go wrong!

Great chicken! Especially with rice and yucas! The only disappointing thing is that on their Facebook, they stated that they are going to start delivering since their reopening. I called tonight(Monday) and they said that they’re not delivering tonight… so are they gonna deliver when they feel like it? Why even advertise it then?

I ordered the half-chicken that comes with a salad and a side. I was disappointed that I cannot get a side of rice instead of the salad which was the same price. I got fries for my other side. Chicken was just okay but I can get better tasting chicken someplace else and I don’t have to pay extra for extra sauce.

Don Alberto’s is a great place to go to. It’s hard not to like it since their food is great and their prices are so low. It’s your typical local restaurant that doesn’t try too hard as far as décor and concentrates on making good food. My family and I have tried many things on the menu. I recommend the fried fish if you’re in the mood for fish, comes with salad and rice. I am a sucker for a nicely fried fish. My wife loved their tacos. They actually bring a lot of meat compared to most tacos I’ve seen. The charcoal chicken is a favorite of my parents and my cousins. They like to get the meal with 2 sides. Their orchata is also very good, usually sells out in the evening. Their maranon juice tastes nothing like maranon. Don’t get that that. The yuca is hit or miss for me, 1 out of 3 times it was crispy… I prefer crispy. I also like that you seat yourself and get your number called once the food is ready. The pupusas are very cheesy and I like the touch of crispy burnt cheese.

This place is good. You have to make sure you double check your food. Mistakes. Make sure you buy extra sauces. They are VERY stinchy with the sauce.

Being in Woodbridge, there are quite a few Pollo Ala Brasa places to choose from and I choose Don Alberto’s. I only get take out because there is not much to the place other than some tables and chairs. They did expand recently but I’m not sure if its for live entertainment or just more customers. We usually get the whole chicken with some sides and it never disappoints. Moist, delicious, and affordable. Call ahead and it’ll be ready when you get there. If they added some more diverse side dishes, they’d steal business away from Boston Market.

Excellent chicken. Excellent Yuca. Excellent sauces. Fast service. Inexpensive. What else do you want?! P. S. The fat lady at the register is a bitch. Buyer beware!

Ordered: Chicken Sandwich, yuca fries, marañon juice AMAZING chicken sandwich. Its huge, cheesy, well seasoned and the bread is perfect. You MUST try it with that little yellow creamy sauce they give you. The yuca fries were ehh but the marañon was yummy.

Hate to disagree. I ate lunch here yesterday. about 3 – 4 hours later I had some stomach issues which kept me up all night. Wouldn’t go back again.

Awesome awesome awesome. Spices excellent, chicken moist, the plantains were PHENOMENAL, just like I remember. My 4 year old even liked the yuca– go figure, she won’t eat anything. It was so good. I can’t say anything about the service because we got our food to go, but the lady at the register was very nice. The smell was awesome! This is more of a diner feel, very little in the way of ambiance except for the Telemundo on the TV in the corner. However, the food more than makes up for anything else. Also, the price was very very reasonable– for a whole chicken and three sides it was $ 15.51.
