I’m going to have to give them their props cause I have eaten here twice ordering food through grubhub and I can say they are the ish! I love the thin crispy chips and salsa. Then the items I ordered carna asada quesadilla, cheese enchiladas last week then tonight fajita platter! Lord Jesus it’s the bomb! I’m going to have to go in there next time to eat cause I would love to try their drinks they probably off the hook as well! Will definitely be ordering from here again! I love that Good Mexican food can be ordered and delivered cause I have never been able to get Mexican delivered before! Thumbs up!

The good: Delivery was fast and the packaging very good. The bad: The food; the rice seemed to have been Uncle Ben’s with little flavor. The beans were watery, and the Chimichanga’s(chicken and shredded beef) were bland. They also had jalapeño and big onions hiding in there that weren’t mentioned. The queso tasted cheap and the chips were not that good either. The kid did like the chicken quesadilla though.

I went for lunch based on 4.5 stars on Unilocal.Sincerely disappointed with about everything. First of all, they need to learn to NOT clean their restrooms with full bleach during lunch hours. My nose was burning for the whole meal. Chips and salsa were good. Chicken chimichanga tasted okay BUT ran into bones and cartilage. One bone was even 2″ long. They COULD have redeemed themselves for one more star IF they comp’d the meal — NOPE, still charged me full price. On top of this, no lunch menu i.e. smaller portions and prices. So, one star for chips and one for having the Denver Broncos season highlights on tv. Otherwise, avoid this place.

I ordered a delivery order a month ago. It was okay. Maybe there’s too many Mexican or Latin food around. This one definitely not the best or worst one.

First time trying Fonda Azteca tonight with my boyfriend. Ordered online through grub hub and the order was delivered at exactly the time they said it would be. We ordered the grilled chicken and ham torta, pork and cheese pupusas, calamari fritos, two canned cokes and a flan. Everything arrived as ordered, neatly packaged and tied together with lots of extra napkins and utensils. Drinks were in a separate bag to keep cold. And they were still pretty cold The first thing I opened up was the torta. That was delicious. They didn’t skimp on the frijoles and avocado, very well dressed sandwich with lettuce and tomato. The fries were hot and crispy with just a little salt. Came with ketchup too. The calamari rings were huge! And breaded with what looked like a very nicely seasoned homemade breadcrumb mix. They come with a slightly spicy dipping sauce and some assorted veggies. There was even a lime wedge to squeeze. The pupusas are good, but one pupusa for $ 2.25 is ONE pupusa. Pretty good compared to a lot of other places around, but not the best I’ve tried. Encurtido was a little lacking in oregano and seasoning and the salsa roja is the same dipping sauce for the calamari, which kind of tastes like a cross between salsa roja and marinara. LOTS of pork in that pork and cheese pupusa and very filling. The flan is not a cakey floury flan like Guapos’ or an eggy custardy flan like El Pollo Rico’s, but a dense creamy flan with a prominent sweetened condensed milk flavor and a thin, sweet caramel sauce. Overall we were very satisfied with our food and we will be ordering again soon. I’m interested to try the ceviche mixto next and will definitely be ordering more pupusas and maybe a tres leches! So glad they deliver.

This place had AMAZING reviews. My boyfriend and I came in to have dinner and were less than impressed. Food was terrible. The cheese dip tasted like the kind they put on nachos at football games. The ground beef in my chimichanga tasted awful. My boyfriend’s salsa was all red water and no vegetables. Won’t be returning

My friend and I decided to check this place out today. We eat mexican food several times a week and we saw the great reviews and tried it out. We had a completely different experience than everyone else had on here. We went on a sunday about 1:30. First of all we were greeted with extremely loud spanish music and a few bored looking people at the bar. No problem. We were excited to try the food. The waitress was somewhat friendly at first and came over and asked for our drink order. When she came back we ordered cheese dip. Took a bit to get some chips and then the cheese dip came out. It was ok but the salsa that came with the chips was very thin and runny and not flavorful at all. Sadly the cheese dip turned out to be the best thing we ate. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and asked if I could order one beef taco also. The server said I had to order 2 so I said ok. My friend ordered a burrito. So a few minutes later 2 tacos come out on seperate plates with what I am assuming was some kind of steak in it. I am not really sure. I assumed they would be crispy with ground beef but came with some kind of different wrap than just a flour tortilla and some guacamole and sour cream and like a little lettuce tomato cilantro salad. I will say the guacamole was good and seemed fresh and the little salad fixings for tacos were good and fresh and flavorful but the tacos were bland and had no flavor at all. The meat was easy to chew but again I am not entirely sure what kind of meat it was. When the rest of the food came out it was also very bland with no flavor what so ever. It was almost gross I hate to say. I don’t know why I took all the leftovers home because I threw it in the trash. I hate to sound harsh but we were just so dissapointed. The waitress would bring us something and then go sit at the bar and seemed really put out to have to serve us. She did bring us drink refills without asking but otherwise not extremely friendly and again seemed really bothered by having to serve us. I have been a server for over 20 years and my friend is also a server and you could just tell she did not want to be there. Then the check came and I was charged $ 2.75 per taco. Really? They were horrible and I felt they were extrememly overpriced. Anyways, we were extremely dissapointed with the service and food. I don’t know if they were just having an off day or what but unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It wasn’t a horrible experience just not a very good one. To us the food just didn’t have any flavor. I read several people commented they have authentic mexican food. I guess its possible that we just don’t like authentic mexican. Not if it is bland and unflavorful unfortunately.

This place is a little hole in the wall but please do not let that stop you for dining in there. This place food is the . I had the chicken chimichanga and that is one of the best chimichanga I had in a long time. I am usually do not eat beans but those beans was very delicious. The rice was very tasty also. The star of the plate is the chips and cheese sauce. I don’t know what they put in that cheese sauce but I hook on it. Out of this world. Great meal tonight and that will be my new spot when I want some authentic Mexican food.

Definitely worth checking out. I was skeptical based on its appearance initially but we are both really glad we came here. Food is, no joke, DELICIOUS. The price is very affordable — enough to come back repeatedly. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Back to the food– its authentic and seriously good. Everything was very fresh, piping hot and generous portions. The cheese dip is soooo good, the chicken chimichanga was super good, the chicken burrito also super good. My fiancé is a Mexican food snob and she actually ate everything!

My husband and I are in love with their good! You get so much for such a low price and it all tastes amazing! Love their salsa and guacamole. The place is a bit outdated inside but that doesn’t bother us! Definitely recommend.

After dutifully and successfully using Unilocal to determine the best places to dine while out of town, I’ve never before been motivated to write a review until after visiting Fonda Azteca today. It’s a bit of a «hole in the wall,» with concrete floors and located in a dated strip mall, but damn. The food was GOOD and worth the trip. The servers were very nice – as much hospitality as anyone could ask for. Pleasant, attentive, accommodating. Ask for the«spicy» salsa; it’s got great flavor. I had the special for Sundays – the shrimp enchiladas. I could actually taste the corn from the tortillas. So good. Flavor was spot-on from the enchiladas to the rice, with plump shrimp and smothered in cheese. I’d eat it again and again. My husband got the beef tacos. Best he’s ever had. He hates avocados and ate all three tacos with avocado because he liked the combo so much. He also never eats refried beans but enjoyed these. Reasonably priced at just under $ 25 for two filling meals and a modela, we will definitely return when we come back into town. Ignore the atmosphere, enjoy the food!

Food just looked OK but it tasted really good. I got the shredded beef enchiladas which came with very stringy cheese(but good), ranchera sauce, beans and rice. I must admit I did not eat the rice. Salsa was a little on the thin side but had a good taste also. Unfortunately the restaurant had no tamales(sob). Burritos, tortas, fajitas, salads, chimichangas, botanas, tacos, etc. I got the flan for dessert and it was good too. They had fried ice cream but no refried ice cream! I got their carry out menu and they listed their web address on the menu but I couldn’t get it to work. Listed as . Oh yes, the restaurant was deserted when I went in at around 6:30. Before I finished my meal two more guys came in and of course the hostess had to seat them right next to me though all the rest of the place was empty, typical.

The food was great and the service was better! They also have a jukebox which means you do not have to listen to crap music the whole time you are eating. I would recommend to all my friends!

Best meal I have had in town since moving here. We can not wait to come back here. My wife is from Texas and stated it was almost as good as her uncles.
