IHOP

I recently moved here from Oklahoma last week and thought I would give IHOP a try since it was after 10pm. When I entered IHOP, a tall dark woman with braids behind the cashier counter made eye contact with me and never spoke or offer to seat me. I stood there for 4 minutes before a very pleasant young woman walked over to seat me. Her name happen to be Monae and she was my waiter. She was very professional and nice. My drinks were taken by unfortunately, another waitress brought my water and coffee. She was in such a hurry that she spilt some of the coffee on the menu. It wasn’t until I whipped the menu that she apologized. Before my food arrived, two staffers were arguing with each other and it continued on and was an actual disturbance. It was just uncomfortable after that.
But I will say this, my food was cooked to my liking and served in a timely manner. I frequent IHOP in OKC with my daughter become of the friendly staff and good food. My first impression of IHOP in VA is a bad. I hope the manager will address the employee’s professionalism.

I was looking for a place where I could have brakefast with some friends and we decided to do in this particular IHOP. The waitresses were very friendly and they attended us the best the could however the amount of staff on schedule compared to the amount of customers they have to attend is very low and it takes them a long time get to each customer on time.

Although this IHOP is closer to my house than the other one on Galvaston Ct. off Hoadly Rd. I typically don’t frequent this one as the service is usually average and often the food is only average.
Recently the service and food have been a bit better but I still think the other location is much better.
The servers are generally very nice but often they seem to be lacking true abilities that great servers have and often are MIA when you need something.
If you have a choice I would say go early in the afternoon, that’s when I have had the best experiences and food.

Usually this location is fine but last Friday 3÷25÷16 my family and I went to this location. Our waiter set our coffee on the table and then spilled the ice tea in my 10 yr old son’s lap. Then went to get napkins and pat his lap… which I had to stop him from doing. I was so shocked I didn’t know what to do. I asked him to give us a moment and he preceeded to tell us «oh he can just go to the bathroom and dry off, the dryer blows really good, he’ll be dry in 3 minutes.» Pulled out his pad to take our order, I was floored. I just told him we won’t be staying, I don’t usually ask for hands out or expect something for nothing due to bad service but the fact they didn’t even offer to fix this in some way left me very irritated! Basically, not going there again!

I got the spinach and mushroom omelette and it smelled nasty! It seemed as if it was made yesterday and they reheated it and gave it to me.

This location is managed by a new manager named Cramer —
He recently replaced a very good and honorable manager. We have worked with this iHop for two years. Our non profit requested an annual donation for our disabled group and we were told after submission of a tax receipt, that the donation would be approved and we were to expect contact in 24 hours. After 9 days passed, we contacted Mr. Cramer informing him that we submitted the tax receipt to him per his request however, he lied to us and did not keep his word to honor the agreement. The management of this eatery is a reflection of the integrity of the manager. He does not care about his integrity privately when no one is looking and it is safe to say, the food care and preparation are likely is consistent with his hidden lack of integrity. We opted to select a location that we could trust was clean and honorable. If the manager is corrupt, so is the food.

So today we went to Ohio for breakfast we got here at 9 am this morning we still had not gotten our food at approximately 940 am no food had appeared and the server kept saying it’s coming ! Well the people at the table behind us got their food before us and they came in after us. How does that sound? Stupid right. So unhappy with the service.

So after my previous review the waitress made a fake profile and harassed me, calling me names because I didn’t like the fact that she didn’t do such a good job at making sure there was no bacon in my soup and because the food was very high in salt.
But I’d like to say thank you for all the compliments! You said I’m to skinny; I’m actually 110lbs and I’m glad you noticed my hard work and effort to keep my self looking fit
You think I look too young to have a three year old; well I’m almost 30, but thank you for the compliment
You think my hands are hairy, my hair looks like a wet mop, and I need a nose job… Hmmm I’m sorry you’re so bitter and unhappy that you need to tell someone mean things to make yourself feel better.
I’m not worried about what a waitress has to say about me.
Do yourself a favor; Stop trying to belittle me because you couldn’t do your job properly.
You talk about manners yet you’re the one saying nasty things to me because I left an honest review, Which by the way I am sending to corporate.

I’ve been to some really crappy restaurants across the country before but this IHOP is easily TOP 5. Every time I either eat in or Oder to go they never get my order right. Or it comes out under cooked regardless of how packed the business is. I absolutely love IHOP but I’ve ended up going to ones that are a few miles out instead of this one which is less than .5

If I could give them a 0 rating, I would. Waited like an hour for food. Never got our appetizer. My pancakes were undercooked. Worst ihop I’ve been to.

Waited 15 minutes on Saturday around 11:30 and not one person came to say hi or offer a drink. Wont come back to this location. Visit the other location by Harris teeter, its much better.

Horrible service high price. I went for coffee grits toast and eggs.
The server brought the eggs toast and grits all together when I asked for the grits first because I can’t eat all of the hot food fast enough to keep it from getting cold.
I didn’t get a spoon to eat the grits with and when I asked for one the server was taken back and told me he gave me a spoon when he brought the coffee. I explained that the teaspoon he brought was for the cream and sugar with the coffee and I can’t use it to also eat the grits plys most people eat cereal including grits with a soup/​cereal spoon not a teaspoon. He was annoyed and asked a coworker to bring a spoon to me.
I asked for the eggs to be loose and not well done but they arrived dry and not even close to how i ordered it.
I asked for melted butter on the toast it came out with butter in a plastic cup not even on the toast let alone melted.
By then I was annoyed and sent the toast and eggs back and cancelled the order.
I Had the grits 1 cup of coffee and 1 glass of ice tea and the bill was $ 7.88 — ouch!
I never liked the quality of IHop food but like today it is sometimes the only game in town so I tolerate it. At least the grits were okay.

Brunch was delicious. Ordered the smokehouse combo for the first time and it was more than filling!

Food is eh. Quality has gone down hence the reason I barely go here anymore. Mom asked for medium rare t bone… looks well done even after it was recooked.

This was my first time eating at this location. I have eaten iHop of course in the past but was def impressed with this location. Our servers name was Robin now you know she was good if I remembered her name. I never remember names ! Robin was a phenomenal waitress especially at a diner. We all ordered water with lemon she brought us our waters and put a few lemon slices on a small saucer plan. My friend ordered tea they gave her a small kettle of water, assortment of tea flavors and honey. I know all this sounds «normal» but I was seriously impressed with it at iHop!
Food was hot and it all came out together. We were all satisfied. Our only wish was that we had to have some self control and not order more pancakes lol. I def will go back to this location again.

Ah this IHOP, a great place for teens and their prom dates to crash after a long night of dancing. This IHOP, notorious for serving customers from all walks of life, from hood-​rats to businessmen. this IHOP never fails to give me enough stories to share with my friends.

I visited this IHOP on the 11^th of this month. My little brother wanted to come here, not for pancakes or a philly cheese, no, he wanted a steak…
I was seated immediately but to a booth with a ripped and sticky seat. My waiter sat us down, gave us our menus and instantly vanished. I was indifferent to his service since I was here for my brother rather than myself.
The waiter came back and asked us for drinks. Sprite for the bro and coffee for myself. After returning with our drinks I placed an order for a «MEDIUM DONE» steak (LOL) for the bro. I didn’t order anything since I had eaten earlier.
My coffee was lukewarm, watery and tasted like bitter water.
I opened the coffee pot and stuck my finger it to test the temperature — again lukewarm.
Bro’s sprite was good at least, so I had no real complaints.

Food arrives about 20 mins later. He got a steak with a side of fries (substituted instead of eggs) and another side of pancakes. Waiter asks us if we needed anything else. A1 sauce, ketchup, a side of water for myself and a new pot of coffee since the current one sucked ass.
He returns with just the A1 sauce and my new pot of coffee. He pours coffee into my old mug (with old coffee still in it) and splashes it everywhere. I thank him and he lives. I taste the coffee and gave up on the watery texture. I even poured more coffee and it still tasted like water.
Back to the steak, I asked the bro to see the steak and it was pretty much cooked through. I didn’t expect anything– since the steak looked like a porkchop anyways. The presentation was lackluster, but the bro was happy so I didn’t complain.
My only real gripe is that the coffee is usually drinkable… it wasn’t this time.
My waiter responded to most of my needs so I applaud him for that.
IHOP is a hit or miss. It’s a place to go to when all the other places are closed. But beware! There are some characters here after midnight, I do not recommend bringing children here at that time.

My friends and I came in at 2 in the afternoon, and waited a bit to order. Nothing too bad, but we were waiting longer than usual. When we finally get our orders in I watch a father daughter couple order drinks food and then eat the meal before our appetizers came out.
10 minutes later, our appetizer came out.
My eggs were congealed by the time I got them.
I think I’d rather go to the awful terrible Toby Keith bar and grill before this ihop location again.

Saturday, October 11, 2014, ordered Simple Fit breakfast (substituted with egg whites, added little cheese, green peppers, onions and cooked in Pam. Instead eggs were cooked in cooking oil and appeared burnt. Sent the plate back and the eggs looked the same dripping with oil ugh!!! Notified the manager and he presented me with perfect eggs. Now, this is way eggs should be cooked. IHOP replace the cook! Thanks IHOP manager!!!

A typical IHOP dining experience, meaning an expansive menu of easily repeatable items. While the experience wasn’t noteworthy, the food was OK and the service was good. This is a great, I just wanna grab some breakfast place. It was exactly as I expected.

Horrible customer service here. Our waitress was barely available and seemed annoyed when I asked for CLEAN silverware. I asked for my bacon to not be crispy and it showed up more burnt than a marshmallow over an open flame! And she kept rushing us to pay when we were done. We were due back 13 cents along with the paper money & this chick brought back EIGHT CENTS! I was so annoyed by the entire experience that I took a picture of it. They couldnt even get that right! Stay away.
