Tony and his staff are very accommodating and take pride in the quality of food they serve. Their Lobster Martini is outrageously delicious! They make their bread fresh and serve it with homemade hummus. I’ve tried so many of their soups, dinners, salads, grinders-all so very good.

I’ve got to be honest, I was craving good Italian food, and I’ve heard fairly good things about this place, so I tried it. Never again! First of all, our waiter, Marlon, was so distracted he asked the same question three times, had nothing to offer when I asked about a dish, and initially just kept trying to push drinks on us. I ordered the seafood pasta dish, don’t even remember what they called it. Hands down, one of the worst pasta dishes I’ve had in years. The mussels and clams weren’t bad, but the pasta was so overcooked and sticky that it was in clumps. Marlon did offer to «change» the white sauce to a red sauce, though he didn’t quite know what it was called short of red sauce. Despite telling him the pasta itself was the issue, Marlon brought back out the same overcooked pasta with a scalding marinara sauce atop it, not making anything better. Never saw him again until he dropped the check off, not saying a word. No question about desserts, no thank you, no nothing. The check sat on the table for 15 minutes, until I got up and literally began walking it up to the bar to handle it myself. Marlon intercepted, then did finally thank us before we damn near ran out of there. I’d go to the mall-housed Carraba’s before I ever came back here — just awful!

Good solid food. Friendly service. The lobster martini appetizer is amazing. Great cocktails. A nice neighborhood gem. Great for lunch and dinner.

Came here a few nights ago with my boyfriend. I got the primavera– which was excellent– and he got the ravioli vodka. He said his food was«just okay,» but agreed my primavera was delicious, and so was the bread and sauce they brought out. Our server, however, was sort of… rude. He came to take our orders, drop off our food, and that was it. Never came back to ask how the food was, didn’t refill our waters, and dropped off the bill without as much as a «how was everything?» My boyfriend, who has been here before said that they’re supposed to have unlimited bread– in fact, as we were leaving I heard another waiter ask his table if they wanted more. Maybe we offended the waiter somehow. Maybe we smelled funny. I’ll probably never know. There are other tasty-looking entrees on the menu, but living in East Haven surrounded by quality Italian restaurants, I’m not sure I’ll be back.

They serve the bread with something resembling and tasting like Elmer’s glue. Things went downhill from there. Scortched the calamari — I know it was grilled, but — whoa — what was the grill turned up to? Huge charred areas, just nasty. Spaghetti was overcooked, not al dente, although the sauce was tasty. Was cold in the dining room(December) — they must set the temperature for the comfort of their servers, not their customers. We all ate dinner with our coats on. Could not find the server — ever. Was relieved to pay the bill and get out of there. Had high hopes for them, too.

I really have a difficult time understanding where these good reviews are coming from, initially they had me doubting my own views of this establishment. But no. Don’t be fooled by the masses for they are near sighted at best! This place from the outside looks to be an old strip club, the ambiance sitting at the table reinforces that belief as well. We were greeted by a team of two, a server and her shadow, then did not see our server again until she took the payment. The chefs were not sure what their dumplings were made of… That’s a red flag to me. All in all The shrimp and lobster cocktail had a horseradish vodka sauce that did not work at all, it was fairly gross actually. The Antonio rigatoni was ok at best The veal was rubber, I had to spit a piece out because there was such a big piece if unchewable cartilage in it I couldn’t swallow the bite… And BEWARNED!!! They do not know what risotto is!!! They have risotto on the menu but ITISNOTRISOTTO!!! How do you mess up risotto???

The food was ok, if it was served hot instead of warm that would have been nice. They brought our wine placed it on the table and walked away. It took us 10 minutes to get it opened then poured. Later our wine was spilled with no apology or offer to fill it. The waiter was just atrocious I was very disappointed.

Walked in and the place is tiny. They serve bread with some nasty white sauce instead of olive oil like a normal Italian restaurant. However, the bread was fresh and tasty. The servers were constantly arguing amongst themself about what tables thy are being assigned. I also heard another server complain that a patron has been waiting an hour to eat and the person she was talking to say don’t worry about it. Our drink orders came out wrong and I really am not sure why because all we orderedwas a coke and seltzer water. As for the food, it took a very long time to come out. My friend ordered fried mozzarella and it look like death warmed over. To add to the disaster that is Antonio ’ s they have no tap beers and and a beer list that lists 45% percent of beers they don’t carry. When my tilapia came came out it was over cooked and what was more delightful was the fabulous large fly that landed in my dish. I cannot begin to say how catastrophic this visit was. My final words, Oy Vey!!!

At first, I was dreading my livingsocial purchase for Antonio’s based on it’s outside appearance. However, once I went inside, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean, it was all modern, updated, and inviting. The wait staff greeted us in under a minute. We had drinks 30 seconds later and placed our appetizer and meal order when we got our drinks. The appetizer was out in under 3 minutes, no joke(bruschetta) and we literally had just finished the app and the food was arriving. So figure between 5 and 7 minutes after the app arrived. The food was phenomenal(Chicken Marsala). I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice, relaxed environment, and some really good food. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover!

Good food but services was terrible. The Woodbridge location is very small and very noisy. Hostess offered us bar seating because it was quieter, which it was for 30 minutes. Our waitress was also the bartender for the restaurant. Yet it was obvious the«regulars» got quicker service. We finally asked for a waitress that wasn’t the bartender. No fault of hers, just poor planning by management to have this occur. Bottom line — if you go DON’T sit in the bar.

We were very happy with our experience last night. I had a penne vodka with lobster. The portion was very generous. I have enough for lunch today and my boyfriend had the arugula salad with salmon and it was also very good. We were the last table of the evening and they were very gracious. It’s a good place to go for an early dinner. There is a very loud small fun bar in the back. If you’re on a date or if you’d like to have a conversation, ask to be seated in the front dining room. I agree with previous reviews. It is a good place to go to dinner if you live nearby and don’t want to ‘think” about it. Another favorite on the menu is the steak salad.

I always go to the Ansonia location but received a living social voucher as a birthday gift to Amity. The waitstaff that took care of us were wonderful, the young man that seated us wasn’t quite sure how our voucher worked, but got out waitress immediately to explain. I believe her name was Emily(name on receipt). She was happy, made suggestions, was wonderfully attentive and made us feel welcome. I’m always nervous if being made to feel like a nuisance when I use a voucher. The food was delicious and we will be back soon. Thank you again to Antonio’s for caring about your patrons.

Good was very good and so was the service. Went with a large group and everyone enjoyed it. They are in the process of redoing the wine list so they were out if a few bottles but brought out ones not on the menu to try that were really good. I had the Chilean sea bass with muscles it was very yummy. Will be eating there again.

Quality and consistency of the food is good buy they use waay too much garlic in everything! I wouldn’t eat here again unless they offered some garlic free meals! The bar is VERY small and it gets crowded on weekends. There are better Italian restaurants to eat at locally and there are certainly better(less crowded) bars near by.

I know a lot of people have given this place good reviews but I have to say our meals were awful. Three of us went and all three meals were horrendous. It seemed to us that the food came to Antonio’s frozen and they just put it in the oven and served it. I had the risotto balls as an appetizer and it literally tasted freezer burned. Our waiter didn’t even act surprised that it was so gross but he was nice enough to take it off our bill. One of us had the eggplant parmesan and it was mushy and stringy and one other person had the pasta«special» with chicken. He said it tasted like Lipton onion soup with dried chicken. My ravioli was slightly more edible but the tomato sauce tasted like it came out of a can. I’m sorry for the negativity but people have to know this is not a good place to eat or at the very least not always a good place to eat. We love to eat out and do so often so we know good food. So this was three meals ALL three were bad.

Great family restaurant on busy RT67 in Woodbridge. I’ve passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and never knew anything about it until one day a friend recommended we meet there for supper. I became an instant fan and have been back 3 times since then. Each time it’s fun and the food is excellent. They do have pizza on the menu though I recommend the dinners and appy’s. The kitchen is creative and the ingredients excellent. Last night I had the steak special of the day. A more tender and flavorful cut you will not find at the best steak houses. Go there. You will have a good time. The staff is most helpful and attentive, always.

Whenever I’m back in my hometown in CT I always pay a visit to Antonios, hands down great service, food and atmosphere. My favorites are the Mozzerella in Carozza and the Veal Satimbocca.
