The food is always high quality here. Recently there have been some more affordable choices added to the menu, which is a plus. The wait staff is usually, but not always, very attentive. It’s a shame they don’t have any draft beer, just bottles. One of the best choices for Mexican food in Woodbridge. Upscale dining but casual atmosphere.

I order lunch quite often from this location and literally 3 out of 5 times no one ever answers the to go line. The service in this place is hit or miss and this regular customer refuses to give my money to this business. I am over it and will refuse to recommend. Its a shame the food is not bad.

The take out service was tops tonight. We come here often and have never had anything but outstanding service. Ordered the Fajitas for Two and the Juanita Platter. Perfecto. Great job guys.

I was so super disappointed after eating at this place. The food was mediocre at best. I’ve had better food from fast food style Tex mex places. The Spanish rice tasted like the kind you buy and microwave at home. My daughter’s steak fajitas were inedible. The steak was burnt and tasted like it was going bad. The prices were outrageous for the low quality food. Taco Bell is better.

I’ve had really mixed emotions going to Uncle Julios. I’ve been there twice and both of my experiences were totally different from the other. The first time I went was with two friends. Our waiter was super awesome. I forgot his name but he was a small white guy. Anyways he let me and my friends move seats at the patio(hostess took us all the way in the back under a huge cover and we didn’t like it) without complaining. The service was quick, he made food suggestions when I asked him, knowledgeable about menu, and altered my order to my liking with a breeze. Me and my friends loved him! Plus the food was AMAZING. I got the beef enchiladas and they were phenomenal :) we even took a selfie with a selfie stick, and a different server photo bombed it and it was HILARIOUS! Second visit was not so awesome. We asked to sit on the patio again and she told me she couldn’t seat the completely empty patio. Now at my restaurant, even if seating is closed on the patio, if the guest wants to then we do it anyways! Hello! It’s all about making the guest happy. But that’s something I can get over. Now she said we could go to the«other patio» by the bar, first come first serve.(Smaller, and on the side of the restaurant) Ok, cool lets go. We sat for about 15 minutes. Nothing. Ok, it seems busy on this patio so let’s just wait a little. Nothing! I grabbed the host to let her know. Finally someone came. He just asked«are you guys ready to order?» We said well we need drinks. He seemed busy, and we understand. So we weren’t being rude or needy. Throughout the meal he forgot to bring us stuff like a side sour cream, fill up our drinks, we asked for more chips and never saw those either. It’s hard because he was a very nice guy. And the food was amazing as always! People have their nights though. And so do restaurants! Although this was a pretty bad experience, I’ll still return. Mostly because of my first experience, and those dang enchiladas! Four stars because the food is amazing and I can’t judge this place off of one guy who maybe just had a bad night!

This was my first time visiting, and we went on a Friday night. The restaurant is pretty big, and there was a decent amount of people in there. Not packed, but… busy. Our server was attentive, and we didn’t really have to wait long for anything. Our group tried a couple of different margaritas that they offered. I had the Julios gold, and the Patron Classic margarita. The julios gold was stronger than the patron marg, so order the julios. I ordered the quesadillas instead of a regular entrée(SN: my other guests ordered entrees. Lots of food, and they all raved about them) the quesadilla was bigger than I thought it would be. I’m not going to say that I dreamt of that quesadilla, but it was a damn good dilla. It’s not too often that you take a group of ppl somewhere, and everyone is overly satisfied with what they ordered. Def recommend checking this place out.

This is my first time at uncle Julios. As a whole the food was ok. The chips and salsa at the beginning were nothing to get excited about. The salsa had a smokey flavor which was pretty unique but I personally prefer old fashioned salsa. The chips desperately needed salt and I’m not a big salt eater. I ordered the carne asada. It was pretty good. I thought the steak was above average and the toppings were all pretty fresh. I have no real complaints about my meal. It was very typical for Mexican food but that is neither a good or bad thing. The reason I gave it 3 stars was the quality to cost ratio. It reminded me of a typical Mexican restaurant with $ 10 plates but cost $ 22. I don’t know that I would rush back.

While visiting, some friends brought us here — needless to say we would love to come back. We came lunch time on a weekday and it wasn’t crowded at all. The salsa is phenomenal! The chips a bit greasy. The fajita platter with chicken, steak, shrimp was so yummy! Fresh tortillas! Worth the price of the food!

Outstanding service, good food, what’s not to like? Ask for Luke, he will take good care of you! Great fajitas and Guac, not your average salsa but I love it! Definitely will come back when in the area!

Not the first time here, but today it will be my last. I am a very disappointed customer today. I always order the chicken fajitas and I noticed something new on the menu and I asked the waiter if possible to get a small sample of the new item(like I’ve done before without a problem at other locations were customer satisfaction is above all– NOTHERE). The kitchen manager sent the message with our waiter: NOTPOSSIBLE! Thank you but no thank you. I was a customer. Kevin.

We haven’t been here in about a year, so we decided it was time to come back. They really do have some AMAZING margaritas! The basic margarita is made with fresh juice and is very tasty, but very low in alcohol and somewhat expensive considering there’s not much in them, but the taste is what makes me want to deal with that and buy them anyways. The salsa is definitely the BEST there is, always has been! Everything is fire roasted and it’s served warm. I used to love their chips as well, but this time when I went they were sooooo greasy and NASTY! We sent the first bath back because they were so greasy and the next batch was just as bad. They literally had puddles of grease on the folds of chips — horrible! The beans that come with the fajitas were AMAZING! Very nicely seasoned and very tasty! The rice that came with the fajitas was bland and not very tasty. The chicken fajitas were nicely prepared, not dry. But they were lacking in spice and flavor. I asked for a side of fire-roasted jalapeños too and they gave me 3, which was really nice of them, but they were bitter and not very good. In all, the trip was OK. Not the best we’ve had from this place and given all the options in this particular plaza, I might try someplace else the next time I’m there.

Between this location and Reston they make a ton of money on marginally good food. The atmosphere is the best part of the experienxe, stay from the juarez

Amazing looking building. Tasty looking menu. Friendly wait staff! Man… What a let down. The food was incredibly bad! We are a family of five. When we go out to eat, we expect the food to be amazing. When looking at the menu, all the food sounds really tasty and good. The prices are very high, especially considering this is mexican food. But the waiter assured us, everything was prepared fresh!!! While that may have been true, the cooks obviously did not know what they were doing and/or did not care. My son ordered steak fajitas, cooked medium. They came out on one of the sizzling type platters, but THEREWASNOSIZZLE. My son looked at his meat… It was RARE. The onions and peppers were raw. Noticing that other people in the place seemed to have the same non-sizzling platters, I called the waiter over and told him about the problem. His was very apologetic and said he would have the cooks fix it. While we were waiting, the manager-in-training came over and said he heard about the problem and said he would adjust the bill. Fine. All is well… The my son gets his food back. It was the same food on the same non-sizzling platter. It was apparent that the cooks just re-cooked everything in a pan and slid it back onto the platter… The meat was now cooked well-done and the cheese and let’s that were on a little side dish were obviously left under a heat lamp. The cheese was completely melted and the lets wilted. Unbelievable! The rest of the meals were lukewarm/cold and had no flavor… The bill comes and the manager, instead of removing the $ 22 fajitas that were completely screwed up, removed the cheapest meal we ordered… $ 11… I will never go back to this place again!

Honestley, it’s my mistake for ever going back. I really like the food but the service has never been good, now its bordering ridiculous. Ordered carry out, thinking that might be better but stood at the carry out counter for 15 minutes. Finally had to ask a table server to get a manager so the someone would notice us. The managers response was simply that they were busy. Sorry but don’t take a phone carry out order and say it will be ready in 10 minutes and then finally have the customer walk out after 45 minutes. The food is good but completely not worth dealing with the service.

Food was good, but incredibly overpriced. I have had the exact same meal at my local Mexican restaurant for about $ 30 for both my wife and I. This dinner cost me about $ 60 w/tip, and we split a margarita. It is typical for Stonebridge, you are paying for the area. Again, food was good. Service was mediocre. Lots of upcharges for everything… almost $ 10 of our check was miscellaneous things.

Overall pretty bad experience. 2 stars for the food which wasn’t bad. Service was ridiculously slow and it wasnt that busy(there wasnt a wait). Our drinks took a while and we never got our water. Chips sat empty at the table. Ended up getting the food to go bc our server never checked on us. As our food was brought I was even asked about my lemonade to go. I thought ok cool, thats a good gesture since he obviously knew things took awhile by him saying the food took forever. He comes back with an EMPTY to go cup… for me to take home whats left in my glass. Really? Laughable. Food like I said wasnt bad. However there are many other similar restaurants in the area I’ll go to before coming back here.

Came here for drinks but ended up ordering food as well. It’s average Mexican food from a chain but the server was very friendly. I really liked the taste of their salsa and our table was going through it very fast, along with their chips. The waitress just kept bring it out. Win! I shared a fajita platter with a friend and it was nothing special. The seasoning was average but the fajitas came with a lot of side items.

Straight to the bad… this place would have gotten four stars but service was bad. My visit was 06april2015. I ordered the Juarez which was steak, chicken, and bacon wrapped shrimp with pepper(OMG amazing). So I would tell people definetely order anything that is grilled chicken here it was very good. The steak was a bit tough(maybe quality/frozen?) But that bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious. There is an entrée that gives you 6 of them, but I dont think thats a fair value for buck. For a drink I got the swirl and it was very tastey. I recommend it. Now the service… half the tables outside were open. Inside the place was empty. Somehow there was a 15 plus minute wait for the outside portion… but no wait for the outside portion by the bar? So we took that section. Additionally… things like water, tortilla, hot sauce, refills and just service seemed to be something that was forgotten. Perhaps because we were sitting in a non busy section and a section we really didnt want. I even had to walk over and get my own extra tortilla and hot sauce. I get it, as I see them busy making drinks and busy stacking blue crates or whatever that was. But really? I couldn’t sit where I wanted where I could have purposeful server traffic because it would have inconvenient a server? So instead the command decision was to put us somewhere with little service?
